Quote:Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has just been released from the Nigerian Correctional Service’ custody in Kuje, Abuja.

This followed yesterday's order of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos ordering the immediate release of the former Governor of Abia.

Justice Mohammed Liman, who ordered Kalu’s release, also quashed the 12-year jail term imposed on him last December 5 by Justice Mohammed Idris.
