Court to rule on El-Zakzaky's bail application on August 5th - Edoman - 07-29-2019 Court to rule on El-Zakzaky's bail application on August 5th A Kaduna State High Court has set aside August 5th to rule on the bail application filed by the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat.   El-Zakzaky and his wife have been in detention since their arrest in 2015 after members of their religious group clashed with men of the Nigerian Army.   Counsel to El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat, Femi Falana, told the court that the embattled couple could not make it to the court hearing today because of their bad health condition.    Members of the Shi'ites group have consistently staged protests demanding the release of El-Zakzaky. The protest by the group went violent in Abuja last week Monday July 22nd, leaving a youth corps member, Precious Owolabi and a police deputy commissioner of police, Umar Bebel, dead.   by Linda Ikeji at 29/
