Turkey Floods: Roads And Buildings Destroyed.(Pix, Video)

Quote:AFTER THE FIRES: now flash floods ravage Turkey - stranding villagers on rooftops, sweeping away cars and triggering mudslides

Turkish rescuers evacuated a regional hospital on Wednesday and plucked stranded villagers off rooftops as flash floods and mudslides swept across the Black Sea coast.

From a meteorological point of view, we are perhaps facing a disaster that we had not seen in 50 or 100 years,' Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said of the flooding and heavy rains.

The downpours along Turkey's northern coast came as firefighters had just about got under control wildfires in the south that have killed eight people since late July.

Turkey has been grappling with drought and a rapid succession of natural disasters that world scientists believe are becoming more frequent and violent because of climate change.

Health Minsister Fahrettin Koca tweeted that a hospital holding 45 patients - four of them in intensive care - had been evacuated in the northern Sinop region because of flooding.

The local authority tweeted images of rescuers pulling dinghies carrying patients away from the hospital along flooded streets.

Images aired by the DHA news agency showed water covering the hospital's ground floor.

Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said water levels had reached three to four metres (10 to 13 feet) in some regions along the Black Sea coast.

Images on television and social media showed water level rising to the level of street signs in some towns.

Bandits reportedly kill engineer after collecting N11m ransom in Kaduna

Bandits have killed an engineer after collecting N11m ransom in Kaduna State.

A source, who has been part of the negotiations for the Baptist College students, disclosed this in an interview with Punch

The source, who did not want to be mentioned because of the sensitive nature of the matter, disclosed this while responding to enquiries about fresh updates on the students held captive by bandits.

"There is a company in Kaduna which has a Chinese staff, one local and one other Yoruba engineer. Bandits kidnapped three of them. Negotiation has been going on since last week Thursday. Finally, they now resolved that N11m should be given," the source said.

"The person that went to deliver the money; the bandits collected the N11m, shot the Yoruba engineer, killed him and asked the person to carry the corpse to the owner of the company and tell him he’s not serious.

“The bandits told him to carry the corpse back to the man because the N11m is too small, while they kept the Chinese and one other man. This happened just about two hours ago. The person who took the money (to the bandits) is struggling with the corpse.”

Mum shot dead by her toddler as colleagues watched on Zoom call

A mum was on a Zoom call when she was shot dead by her child who had picked up a loaded gun.

Shamaya Lynn, 21, from Florida, was taking part in the conference call on Wednesday, August 11, when the other participants heard a huge bang and the mum fell backwards.

Those on the Zoom call then saw a toddler in the background who had picked a gun that had been left "unsecured" in the home, said Altamonte Springs Police.

When Lynn failed to get back onto the call, one of her colleagues taking part in the call called emergency services and the mum’s body was found with a shot to the head.

"Investigators determined that the injury was caused by a toddler who found a loaded handgun, which was left unsecured by an adult in the apartment," a police statement reportedly said.

Florida TV channel WESH reported that Lynn was the mother of the child and the gun belonged to the dad.

Officer Roberto Ruiz, Jr warned in a TV clip: "To anyone and everyone tuning into this story if you own a firearm please keep it locked and secured.

"Incidents like this can be avoided."

The couple also have another child and both are in the care of relatives, said WESH.

Police are continuing to investigate the case and are consulting with the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office over whether the father, the gun owner, should face charges.

NNPC records N43.57b trading surplus
August 13, 2021

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced a trading surplus of N43.57 billion in April, this year, representing a 23.64 per cent increase over the N35.24billion surplus it recorded in March.

This is contained in the April 2021 edition of the NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report (MFOR).

Trading surplus or trading deficit is derived after deduction of the expenditure profile from the revenue accrued for the period under review.

According to the report, the NNPC Group’s operating revenue in April as compared to March, increased by 17.73 per cent or N80.67 billion to stand at N535.61b. Similarly, expenditure for the month increased by 17.24 per cent or N72.34billion to stand at N492.05billion, while expenditure as a proportion of revenue stood at 0.92 per cent, same as last month’s.

The report attributed the rise in trading surplus to the activities of the corporation’s upstream subsidiary, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), such as crude oil lifting from OML 119 (Okono Okpoho) and OMLs 60, 61, 62, 63 (Nigerian Agip Oil Company), as well as increase in gas sales. The positive outlook was further consolidated by the robust gains of two other subsidiaries namely: Duke Oil and the National Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO).

In the Downstream, to ensure uninterrupted supply and effective distribution of fuel across the country, a total of 1.67billion litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) translating to 55.79mn liters/day were supplied in the month under review.

The report also showed a 34.29 percent reduction in the number of pipeline points vandalised from 70 in the previous month of March 2021 to 46 in April 2021. While Port Harcourt area accounted for 54 percent, Mosimi area accounted for 46 percent of the vandalised points.

In the gas sector, a total of 209.27 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas was produced in the month under review, translating to an average daily production of 6,975.72 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd).

From April, last year to April, this year, a total of 2,902.52bcf of gas was produced, representing an average daily production of 7,369.76mmscfd during the period.

Period-to-date production from Joint Ventures (JVs), Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) and NPDC contributed about 62.07 percent, 19.95 percent and 17.98 percent respectively to the total national gas production.

In terms of natural gas off-take, commercialisation and utilisation, out of the 206.40bcf supplied in April 2021, a total of 126.83bcf of gas was commercialised consisting of 42.92bcf and 83.91bcf for the domestic and export markets respectively. This translates to a total supply of 1,430.90mmscfd of gas to the domestic market and 2,976.94mmscfd of gas supplied to the export market for the month.

This implies that 61.45 percent of the average daily gas produced was commercialised while the balance of 38.55 percent was either re-injected, used as upstream fuel gas or flared. Gas flare rate was 9.74 percent for the month under review (i.e. 670.19mmscfd) compared with average gas flare rate of 7.42 percent (i.e. 542.22mmscfd) from April, last year to April, this year.

A total of 795mmscfd was delivered to gas-fired power plants in April to generate an average power of about 3,416 MW.

Reno Omokri, former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu in London.

President Buhari who embarked on a medical trip to the United Kingdom two weeks ago, visited Tinubu in London on Thursday.

The president’s media aide, Bashir Ahmad made this known via a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday night.

He wrote, “this evening in London, the United Kingdom, visited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.

Reacting, Reno, the socio-political activist said Buhari “is irresponsible”.
He argued that no president of any country would embark on such visit when his nation is facing several challenges.

on his verified Facebook page, Reno wrote “Is this what this agbaya should be doing? Visiting Tinubu in London when hunger is visiting Nigerians.

“When 250 children are still with bandits and kidnappers, including 89 Baptist Academy students? When resident doctored are on strike? When his party is in disarray over Buni?

“Buhari is irresponsible! I know of no other President in the world who will be busy paying social visits when his country is experiencing social unrest.

“What do we need this fellow for? Buhari is as useless to Nigeria as the p in psychology!”

FG Hikes Vehicle Number Plate, Driving Licence Rates By 50%
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-13-2021, 09:10 AM - No Replies

Quote:THE Federal Government has commenced the implementation of new rates for vehicle number plates and driving licence across the country.

According to the Joint Tax Board, Nigerians will now pay N18,750 for standard private and commercial number plates against the old rate of N12,500.

Fancy number plate which was N80,000 is now N200,000; motorcycle number plate is N5,000 from N3,000 while articulated number plates (three plates) attract N30,000 from N20,000. For these rates, the minimum increase is 50 per cent.

Out of series number plate has also been revised to N50,000 from N40,000 while government fancy number plate is N20,000 against the former N15,000 rate.

Driving licence (three years) was raised to N10,000 from N6,000, excluding bank charges; licence for five years is N15,000 from N10,000 while motorcycle/tricycle driving licence (three years) goes for N5,000 from N3,000 while the one for five years attracts N8,000 from N5,000.

The decision was taken at the 147th meeting of the JTB, which held in Kaduna on March 25.

A letter by the JTB titled ‘Implementation of the revised rates for vehicles number plates and driver’s licence in Nigeria’, dated July 30, 2021 and signed by the board secretary, Obomeghfe Nana-Aisha, directed various federal and state agencies to commence the implementation of the rates.

Members of the JTB established by section 86 (1) of the Personal Income Tax Act cap. P8 LFN 2004, include the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service as the chairman of the board; one member from each state and representatives of the Federal Road Safety Commission; Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission; Federal Capital Territory Administration; Federal Ministry of Finance; and Federal Inland Revenue Service.

The letter read, “You may wish to recall that at the 147th meeting of the Joint Tax Board held in Kaduna, Kaduna State on March 25, 2021, the board approved revised rates for the sale of vehicle number plates and driving licence in line with the recommendations of Appraisal and Technical Committee of the JTB.

“In the light of the foregoing, we wish to inform you that the Chairman, JTB, has approved Thursday, August 1, 2021, as the commencement date for the implementation of the new rates.”

Meanwhile, the FRSC Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, has dismissed a report circulating on social media that the agency was behind the hike, noting that the FRSC was not a revenue generating agency.

He also described as incorrect the report that the standard number plate was N55, 000.

Suspected Bank Hacker, BDC Operators Nabbed Over N1.868bn Scam
User Avatar Forum: News
Posted by: Edoman - 08-13-2021, 09:06 AM - Replies (1)

Quote:A suspected hacker, Femi Salau, has been arrested by the police Special Fraud Unit in Lagos State for allegedly hacking into the system of a first generation bank to defraud it of about N1.868bn.

Two Bureau De Change operators, who allegedly acted as Salau’s accomplices to perpetrate the fraud, were also nabbed.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Salau was arrested for allegedly using a software to create fictitious credits totalling N1,868,900,000, which he deposited into the accounts of some of the affected bank’s customers.

The spokesman for the SFU, Eyitayo Johnson, said in a statement on Thursday that Salau successfully made debits amounting to N417,542,000 through Internet banking transfers to other banks.

He stated that the affected bank petitioned the unit and its operatives contacted the Central Bank of Nigeria and Deposit Money Banks, whose customers were beneficiaries of the fraudulent funds, and they were able to recover a substantial amount.

He said, “Operatives of the Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos, have arrested one Femi Salau, the kingpin of a syndicate that specialises in hacking into the servers of banks and corporate agencies.

“The hacker, who displayed exemplary mastery of the cyber environment, was arrested after he hacked into the Flex-Cube Universal Banking System of a first generation bank.

“Using application software, he created fictitious credits totalling N1,868,900,000 on the accounts of three of the bank’s customers and successfully consummated debits amounting to N417,542,000 through Internet banking transfers to other banks

“The unit, while acting swiftly on a petition from the bank, contacted the Central Bank of Nigeria and Deposit Money Banks, whose customers were beneficiaries of the fraudulent funds, and was able to salvage a substantial amount.”

Johnson stated that items recovered from Salau included Apple laptop and iPhone, adding that he and the BDC operators, who laundered the money, would be charged as soon as investigation was concluded.

Explaining how the suspects were arrested, Johnson said, “We had been on the trail of the hacker (Salau) for a while; he travelled out of the country; so, we placed him under watch and picked him up from the airport.

“The Commissioner of Police in charge of the unit, Anderson Bankole, arrested one of the BDCs operators in a bank in Abuja when he went for the IGP’s conference. The other BDC operator was arrested in Lagos.

“The hacker (Salau) was the last person we arrested, because the way we conduct our investigation is from the bottom up.”

“Consequently, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the unit scheduled a meeting with the Chief Compliance Officers and Heads of Technology/Information Security Department of banks with a view to brainstorming on the loopholes exploited by this suspect and how to counter similar hacks for the benefit of both the police and the banking sector of our economy,” Johnson added.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

FRIDAY 13TH AUGUST 2021.

Pastor Chris

TOPIC:  BOLD AND PASSIONATE FOR THE KINGDOM

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen (Mark 16:20).

Preach the Gospel with passion, and as you do, the Lord will confirm His Word with signs following. We have something to give to the world; it’s the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recall what the Lord charged us to do: “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). He has given us both the power and authority to do mighty works in His Name and demonstrate the character of the Holy Spirit to our world.

Therefore, take your place in the ministry of the Gospel. Never lose focus of the Master’s calling on your life. Serve Him selflessly, with an undying passion. If you’re passionate for Him, He’ll be passionate for you; He’ll stand up for you if you’d stand up for Him: “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).

The Bible says, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead” (2 Corinthians 5:14). Here, the Apostle Paul says our love and passion for the Lord compels us with the truth of the Gospel.

The Lord is with you, strong and mighty; and with the faith of God in your spirit, take your partnership in the Gospel to a higher level. Get “wild” for God! Invest your time and resources in world evangelism. Keep winning souls and let nothing quench your love for the Lord.
The Bible says those that turn many to righteousness shall shine as stars forever (Daniel 12:3). Shine evermore by making an impact with the Gospel. Be so passionate for the Gospel that its impact in men’s lives, and spread around the world, is all that matters to you.

CONFESSION

I’m passionate about God’s Kingdom and its expansion in the earth, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only saving power for the world, and I’m its herald! I’m aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. Amen.

Philippians 4:15-17 CEV
My friends at Philippi, you remember what it was like when I started preaching the good news in Macedonia. After I left there, you were the only church that became my partner by giving blessings and by receiving them in return. 16 Even when I was in Thessalonica, you helped me more than once. 17 I am not trying to get something from you, but I want you to receive the blessings that come from giving.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Acts 20:18-24
And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, 19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: 20 [And] how I kept back nothing that was profitable [unto you], but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, 21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Shell To Pay $111m For Oil Spills In Nigeria
User Avatar Forum: Oil/Gas
Posted by: Edoman - 08-13-2021, 06:05 AM - No Replies

Quote:Royal Dutch Shell has agreed to pay around €95m (£80.4m/$111.6m) to communities in southern Nigeria over crude oil spills in 1970, lawyers involved in the case have said.

The decision is the latest involving Opec-member Nigeria’s oil-producing south where communities have long fought legal battles over oil spills and environmental damage.

“The order for the payment of [$111m] to the claimants is for full and final satisfaction of the judgement,” a local spokesman for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria said on Wednesday.

Lucius Nwosa, a lawyer representing the Ejama-Ebubu community in Rivers state, confirmed the decision.

“They ran out of tricks and decided to come to terms,” the lawyer said. “The decision is a vindication of the resoluteness of the community for justice.”

The company said it maintained the spills were caused by third parties during Nigeria’s 1967-70 civil war when much damage was done to oil pipelines and infrastructure.

“It is a confirmation of the issues we have raised about Shell’s environmental devastation of Ogoni and the need for a proper remediation of the land,” the MOSOP organisation for the local Ogoni people said in response.

A case Donald Pols, director of Milieudefensie, an environmental group, reacts after the verdict at the Hague.

After a 13-year legal battle, a Dutch court in January this year ordered Shell to compensate Nigerian farmers for spills that polluted much of their land in the Niger Delta.

The court ordered Shell to compensate three out of four farmers who lodged the case in 2008. The case has dragged on so long that two of the Nigerian farmers have died since it was first filed.

Fuel Scarcity Hits Oke Ogun, Leaves Commuters Stranded At Bus Stops (Photo)
User Avatar Forum: Oil/Gas
Posted by: Edoman - 08-13-2021, 06:04 AM - No Replies

Quote:Residents of Saki and other towns in Oke Ogun geo-political zone in Oyo State are currently experiencing a scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol due to the unavailability of products.

Our correspondent gathered that the fuel scarcity started earlier in the week due to the inadequate supply of PMS to the area.

Many commuters in the area are now stranded in most of the bus stops following the development.

Our correspondent gathered that a majority of filling stations in the town were closed.on Thursday leaving motorists and motorcyclists stranded

Some of the affected areas include Barracks Road, Ajegunle and Ago-Are Road.

The few petroleum stations that opened were filled with queues, DAILY POST observed.

Some of the residents who could not wait at the petroleum stations resorted to patronising the black market.

The price of a litre of petrol ranged between N250 and N350 in some parts of Saki as at Thursday.

Some of the residents lamented the effects of the fuel scarcity.

They claimed that it has affected their businesses.

But, all efforts made by DAILY POST to get a reaction from the state Chairman of Independent Independent Petrol Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Mr. Bukola Mutiu proved abortive.

Several calls put through his mobile phone were not answered.

A message sent to him, asking for his reaction has not been replied to as of the time of filing this report on Thursday.

Gunmen Kidnap Hassana Saudaki & Her Baby In Zamfara - Pictures

Quote:Gunmen have kidnapped the wife of a former councillor Hassana Saudaki and her eight-month-old baby in Zamfara State.

Her husband – Babangida Damba – the former councillor of Tudun-Wada Gusau ward – explained that the incident occurred on Wednesday when gunmen invaded their residence at the Government Residential Quarter in Damba, shooting him and his 26-year-old wife.

He told Channels Television that the gunmen who were about four started their operation from 12: 00 am shooting sporadically for over one hour, before leaving with his wife and son to an undisclosed location.

The victim’s husband said he put a distress call to the police immediately to come to his rescue but they did not show up until 3:00 am after the criminals had long gone with his wife and son.

Damba said he recovered 17 used ammunition and one live ammunition which the gunmen fired at the main door of the house to force it open to access the sitting room.

Kidnapping and banditry have become common occurrences in Zamfara State. Hundreds of students have been abducted from their schools in the northwestern state, sparking fears among residents. Some of them were later rescued.

High-profile personalities have also been abducted in the state.

While the state government had admitted that insecurity has worsened in the state, it blamed past governments for failing to resolve the security challenges – especially clashes between herders and farmers.

Quote:Justice M. M. Abubakar of Bauchi State High Court has convicted and sentenced Sarita Aliyu Bello, Managing Director of Workman Microfinance Bank, Bauchi.

She faced a two-count charge bordering on misappropriation and forgery brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

Bello’s offences were contrary to Section 308 and 363 and punishable under Section 309 and 364 of the Penal Code Law.

Sometime in 2020, according to the EFCC charge, she misappropriated the sum of N4,786,700.

Bello used the password of the bank’s Head of Credit Unit, created fictitious names, generated fraudulent loan requests, approved and paid the same to herself.

The MD pleaded guilty to the charges when the EFCC presented evidence of the crime to her.

Justice Abubakar sentenced Bello to five years imprisonment and ordered the repayment of N3,786,700 to the bank through the EFCC.

Quote:The slaughter of the people of Nigeria by Boko Haram, ISWAP, foreign militias, herdsmen, bandits, unknown gunmen and other terrorists shall not go unavenged and unpunished.

Every single one of them and those who covertly support and encourage them shall be brought to justice.

The rehabilitation of Boko Haram fighters who have stained their hands with the blood of our people is the greatest evil under the sun.

It gladdens my heart to hear that the Chief of Army Staff has ruled out such a dangerously stupid and indefensible policy.

Evil must NEVER be encouraged or rewarded.

How Abba Kyari’s Police Team Extorted N1M Each From Suspected IPOB Members - SR

How Disgraced Abba Kyari’s Police Team Extorted N1Million Each From Suspected IPOB Members

Quote:The Inspector-General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team under the then leadership of Abba Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, extorted at least N1 million each from seven suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), SaharaReporters has learnt.

The seven suspects were among over 50 persons arrested from the South-East during various raids.

SaharaReporters learnt that the IPOB suspects were raided by the Kyari-led team between March and June 2021, whisked away to Abuja, and were detained at the former Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad headquarters, Abuja, notoriously known as “Abattoir.”

SaharaReporters gathered from one of the lawyers handling the cases of the detainees that the police team under Kyari extorted between N1 million and N1.5 million each from the suspects later freed.

It was learnt that those who could not afford the bribes remained in cells – including four married women.

The women’s names are given as Mrs Maria Ezedialu, arrested in Owerri (Imo State) in March 2021, and transferred to IRT, Abuja; Mrs Ngozi Umeadi, a nursing mother arrested at a hospital in Onitsha (Anambra State) where she was receiving postpartum care; Mrs Ngozi Dave, arrested in Lagos State; and Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ebole, who was arrested with her husband, Cletus Ebole.

SaharaReporters learnt that the IRT under Kyari, who is now suspended over a probe linking him to serial internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, alias Hushpuppi, coordinated the mass arrests of South-East residents under the guise of IPOB members with three other top police officers.

The officers are identified as CP Abutu Yaro, in charge of the Imo State command; DCP Kolo Yusuf of the Special Tactical Squad and Tactical Intelligence Unit, and one DIG Tijani Baba of the Directorate of Force Intelligence Bureau.

“The South-East residents were all raided and arrested by the Kyari’s team as IPOB suspects and detained without access to families or lawyers until some of them were taken to an Area Court in Abuja and granted bail,” Emeka Umeagbalasi, leader of the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, a civil rights organisation based in Anambra State, told SaharaReporters.

“Nine remanded survivors are Citizens Anthony Mba, Vincent Kalu, Iloejebechukwu Ikeji, Ezike Chukwuebuka Victor, Bede Obizue, Uchenna Ugwu, Okeke Boniface, Enemuo Vitus, and Okechukwu Oguguo.

“At abduction, their mobile phones were seized leading to electronic disappearance of the victims’ bank deposits and tracking down of their friends, business associates, in-laws, and relatives, numbering dozens who were abducted,” he added.

“Intersociety was also reliably informed that seven of the 24 survivors in that section of the IRT later left after each of them was forced to part with N1 million or N1.1 million, remaining 17 of them who could not afford the sum.”

The Intersociety in a report released on Tuesday and obtained by SaharaReporters added that there are at least 80 uninvestigated and untried South-East Residents that have been taken away by the police since March 2021.

“The recent custodial killing of detained Igbo citizens was disclosed to Intersociety by an activist and legal practitioner who is very conversant with the matter and has been following same. There are hundreds of others arrested mainly in Imo State under the direct supervision of CP Abutu Yaro and handed over to DCP Abba Kyari’s team for 'further interrogation and investigation in Abuja'. Some may have been killed.

“Information about the women and others was received a few days ago after 15 of the remaining survivors in that section were arraigned at an Abuja Area Court on August 2 and remanded at Keffi in Nasarawa State,” the report partly reads.

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 24 year old commercial tricyclist, Akpan Confidence, for allegedly using his vehicle to trap, rob and rape a female passenger.

The victim, an undergraduate of one of the tertiary institutions in the state had hired the suspect at about 8:pm on 23 July 2021 to Ugbor area towards Airport road.

Halfway into the journey, Confidence diverted to a lonely road, claiming the other one was not motorable. He then brought out a cutlass and threatened to slaughter his frightened passenger and have her buried on the spot unless she agreed to sleep with him.

In the ensuing struggle, the helpless young girl who initially resisted the rapist was robbed of her cash and iPhone after which he overpowered and dragged her to an uncompleted building where he raped her before fleeing into the night.

Narrating her ordeal, the victim who refused to disclose her identity, said “I called the Keke NAPEP man to carry me to where I could get a taxi to Sapele Road. We agreed and I got in only for him to suddenly brandish a shining cutlass, threatening to kill me if I refused to sleep with him. I have no choice but to surrender quickly,"

"He forcefully slept with me in an uncompleted building right in the middle of a bush. I begged him but he refused to let go of me. He later left me in the bush after sleeping with me and collected the little money I had.” she added.

The suspect, who was arrested around Sapele road in Benin city on Monday, August 9, said he regrets his action.

"I regret my action. I am ashamed. I don’t really know what came over me. I can’t explain why I raped and robbed her." he said.

Spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Bello Kontongs, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect was arrested through high technical intelligence.

Kontongs assured that the police will carry out a thorough investigation to ascertain whether the suspect has in the past been involved in the attack, robbery and raping of innocent persons in the state.

PDP files lawsuit seeking removal of Mai Mala Buni as Yobe Governor

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has filed a lawsuit seeking the removal of Mai Mala Buni from office as Governor of Yobe state.

In the lawsuit filed on August 12 by PDP's lawyer Emeka Etiaba, with Umar Damagum, PDP’s Yobe governorship candidate in the 2019 election, and his running mate, Baba Aji as plaintiffs, the opposition party stated that Buni ceased to be a governor from the moment he accepted to act as the caretaker committee chairman of the APC.

Maintaining that Buni violated Section 183 of the Constitution when he accepted to serve as chairman of the caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite holding the position of an executive governor, PDP is now seeking for an order directing Yobe chief judge or any other senior person next to the chief judge to immediately swear in Damagum and Aji as governor and deputy governor of the state, respectively, having emerged second in the 2019 governorship election in the state.

This is coming days after a Supreme Court judgement which upheld election of Rotimi Akeredolu as Ondo governor, raised concern over Buni's eligibility to conduct congresses and nominate candidates.

Court dismisses Evans’ N200m suit against police over seized trucks

A Lagos state division of the Court of Appeal on Thursday August 12, dismissed an appeal filed by suspected kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, against the judgment of Justice Hadizat Rabiu-Shagari of the Federal High Court, Lagos over his seized 25 trucks by the Nigeria Police.

Respondents in the case filed by Evans' lawyer, Mr. Olukoya Ogungbeje, are the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Inspector-General of Police Response Team (IRT), Lagos State Commissioner of Police and Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Evans in the lawsuit accused the Inspector-General of Police and four others of unlawfully seizing his 25 trucks without court order on June 15, 2017, and converting them to their own.

He asked the court to award N200 million as general and exemplary damages against the police for the alleged violation of his rights under Sections 36, 43, and 44 of the 1999 Constitution.

Though Justice Rabiu-Shagari had on April 19, 2019, dismissed Evans’ suit for lacking in merit, he approached the Appeal Court in an appeal numbered CA/L/1105/2018.

However the police through its counsel, Emmanuel Eze, attached to the State CID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, asked the court to dismiss the suit as the suspected kidnapper procured 11 trucks through proceeds of crime, of which 10 were were recovered as exhibits.

The police in a counter-affidavit deposed to, by Inspector Haruna Idowu, also noted that the trucks were listed as exhibits in the criminal charges filed against Evans at the Lagos State High Court.

Idowu said;

Quote: “The applicant is the notorious and most dreaded armed robber and kidnapper known as Evans, who defiled police arrest for over 10 years and who had terrorised many states of Nigeria with his various gang members. The applicant has no other source of livelihood except armed robbery and kidnapping as so many arms and ammunition were recovered from the applicant during his arrest.
“The applicant had purchased various properties with proceeds of armed robbery and kidnapping. He purchased 11 trucks with proceeds of crime. The police recovered 10 in Lagos, while they were not able to tow the remaining one from Anambra State to Lagos due to the fact that the applicant’s brother-in-law, Mr. Okwuchukwu Obiechina and his wife had tampered with the brain box of the truck in a bid to pervert the course of justice.”

Justice Joseph Ikyegh who read the lead judgment in the appeal which was supported by other members of the panel Justice Abubakar Umar and Justice Onyekachi Otisi, held that the search warrant issued and executed in line with Section 144 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act of Nigeria, 2015 empowered the police to recover the trucks.

Ikeygh added that Section 153 of the Administration of Criminal Justice of Nigeria 2015, permits the police to retain proceeds of crime until the case is disposed of.

Quote:A video has gone viral purportedly showing a shoot-out between Niger Delta Avengers and Personnel of the Nigerian Navy.

The footage generated a lot of controversy online with many questioning the federal government’s ability to adequately provide security of lives and property for citizens.

POLITICS NIGERIA, in its drive for accountability, carried out an investigation to ascertain the authenticity of the video and here is what we found;

CLAIM: On Thursday evening, a report appeared on SAHARA REPORTERS with the title “Niger Delta Avengers Attack Nigerian Navy, Kill Security Operatives”.

On perusing the report, a video was also attached showing men adorned with mufti clothes carrying assaullt rifles exchanging ‘bullets’ with masked naval personnel.

The video was also syndicated across several twitter accounts with most carrying emblems of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.

VERIFICATION: Findings by POLITICS NIGERIA reveal that the video is not a shootout but actually a Military drill. The entire scenario was simulated to show the Navy’s tactical response to hostage situations.

Keyamo To Oshiomhole: I'm Not Responsible For Your Political Misfortune
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-12-2021, 11:13 AM - No Replies

Quote:Minister of Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has blasted Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former National chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC ), saying he is not responsible for his political misfortune.

The Minister in a statement by his media aide, Tunde Moshood said Oshiomhole is still suffering from the political disappointment he suffered in the Edo governorship election.

"We have been alerted about a Press Statement making the rounds credited to one Victor Oshioke issued on behalf of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and titled ‘LEAVE OSHIOMHOLE OUT OF APC LEADERSHIP DEBATE’. We initially had our doubts as to the authenticity of the said statement in which the respected Comrade made several unfair and unfounded allegations against Mr. Keyamo, but when we were bombarded by credible sources for our response and after taking our time to send someone to call the author to authenticate it, we had no choice but to set the records straight.

The story of the political tussle between Gov. Godwin Obaseki and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in Edo State is so well documented that we do not need to remind Nigerians about it. Mr. Keyamo had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it. The cases they filed against each other raged from Benin to Abuja and other parts of the country. Mr. Keyamo NEVER filed a single case in court, nor was his Chambers or juniors in Chambers used in any of the cases. The records are there.

When the crises finally consumed Oshiomhole, Mr. Keyamo was not in any strategic legal position like the office of the AGF, APC legal adviser or an SA to any high office within the system on legal matters. Mr. Keyamo is not PRIVY to how members of the CECPC were nominated and/or selected, so he did not have the benefit of the opportunity to point out any legal disabilities. Regrettably, the respected Comrade must have have given in to gossips and rumors.

As to the unfounded allegation that Mr. Keyamo released his recent legal opinion on the Supreme Court decision in Jegede V. Akeredolu to the public on social media, nothing can be farther from the truth. Out of pure patriotism, Mr. Keyamo sent his PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL ADVICE to no other person but the National Chairman of the CECPC himself and just three other highly placed persons with a note not to forward it to anyone. It was an honest, sincere and selfless advice IN THE LIGHT OF THE JUDGEMENT of the Supreme Court ON THAT DAY. However, since it was leaked and seeing how it has been politicized, Mr. Keyamo has since refrained from making any further comments on it.

For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Keyamo has no personal interest to serve. He is very content with the assignment given to him by Mr. President and is very much ready and willing to return to his striving legal practice whenever his assignment is over. He is not struggling with anyone for anything other than to enthrone justice and fairness within the system. He has climbed the highest ladder in his chosen profession before being called upon to public office. As such, public office is not a do-or-die affair for him. All insinuations in Oshiomhole’s release that Mr. Keyamo is after some PERSONAL gain is pure balderdash.

"Mr. Keyamo is a big fan of Gov. Buni and they both continue to have healthy conversations till today over the issues at stake. This is not a personal issue. It is just for the survival of the party and Mr. Keyamo will always defend and support the CECPC to the end unless the Supreme Court says otherwise if and when the Court has the opportunity again to decide with the proper parties before it. He will continue to pray for victory on our part. His only offence now is that he sounded a private note of caution because of recent developments at the Supreme Court. How someone can interpret that to be hostility still beats our imagination".

"Mr. Keyamo holds Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in very high esteem. He regards him as his leader and mentor. That outburst was very unnecessary and we think he succumbed to the emotions of the political disappointments he has suffered lately, especially in Edo State. If he is looking for a fall guy, he should please look elsewhere. He should be rest assured that we all share in the pain of that costly political miscalculation that caused our dear party to lose the State to the Opposition so cheaply. But we shall continue to support all efforts to put things back on track there".

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THURSDAY, AUGUST 12TH 2021.

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

THEME: WE EXECUTE JUDGEMENT ON SATAN AND HIS DEMONS

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgement written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord (Psalm 149:5-9).

The Lord Jesus occupies the most exalted position there is. He’s seated at the right hand of the Father, far above all principality, and power, might, and dominion, and every name that is named. But the most exciting part is that you’re in Him. You’re seated with Him in glory, with dominion over Satan and the princes of darkness (Ephesians 2:6).

That’s the reason in Christianity, we don’t fight the devil or negotiate with him; we cast him out. We exercise dominion and execute judgement over Satan and the principalities of darkness. They’ve been judged, and we’re the ones authorized to execute the judgement; it’s part of our heritage in Christ:

“To execute upon them (Satan and his demons) the judgement written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 149:9).
In John 16:11, Jesus said, “…the prince of this world is judged”; it’s your responsibility to keep him under your feet. That’s why the Bible says to cast him out! You don’t struggle with Satan. The resurrection of Jesus made a champion of you. You operate from a higher realm where your words are backed by Deity.

Even now, address Satan with words of power and break his influence over your town, city, country, home or environment. You’re the one in charge. Use your authority in the Name of Jesus to frustrate and overturn his activities. Jesus gave you all authority in heaven and in the earth (Matthew 28:18-19); use it every day against Satan and the demons of darkness. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I walk in dominion over Satan and the princes of darkness, because I’m seated with Christ in glory, dominion and power. I reign and rule over circumstances and elements of this world, today and always, because I live in, and by the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Matthew 28:18-19 KJV “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

Deputy Governor, Hon. Manir Dan-Iya on condolence visit to the village
Twenty four members of a family have died of suspected food poisoning in Danzanke village of Bargaja ward in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ali Innameon, who confirmed the deaths in a statement on Tuesday, said the incident occurred on Monday, August 9.

According to the Commissioner, the incident was caused by use of a fertiliser type of chemical, popularly called ‘Gishirin Lalle in Hausa’ as seasoning in domestic family cooking which was considered as common salt.

"Regrettably, the entire family who ate the meal lost their lives, except two female members, who merely tasted the food and are currently responding to treatment, with very good chances of survival. Attempts to save the lives of all the affected people by providing the needed medical care proved abortive,” Inname said.

"The Ministry wishes the general public would learn from this incidence and always be cautious, in order to prevent its reoccurrence in their families, as now experienced in Sokoto State and Zamfara earlier in the year," the statement read.

"It is very important for the public to know that this incidence though preventable and not contagious, it is extremely fatal even with best of medical attention and care. While the State Government is monitoring the situation closely and is under control.

Femi Falana: Too Many Injustices Under Buhari’s Government
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-11-2021, 04:08 PM - No Replies

Quote:Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has said there are too many injustices in Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

Falana said this while making reference to the Federal Government’s hasty decision to extradite Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, from Benin Republic to Nigeria just like leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, but now following due process in embattled police officer, Abba Kyari’s case.

Falana speaking with BBC Yoruba stressed that the present administration’s injustice is obvious which was why he was against the quick extradition of Kanu to Nigeria.

Falana said: “The Benin government made its Nigerian counterpart understand that its country is not lawless. They insisted on following the due legal processes and said without going to court, they cannot hand over Igboho to you.

“This is how it should be under the law; the judge will scrutinise Nigeria’s extradition request from Cotonou to Abuja.

“That was why I criticised the hasty transfer of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria. Now, the same Government wants Abba Kyari to go to court before he is transferred to the United States. And this is what the government should have done in the case of Kanu.

“There are too many injustices in Nigeria and this is not good.”

Sunday Igboho is currently undergoing trial in Cotonou, Benin Republic, after he was arrested.

The Yoruba Nation agitator was arrested at an airport while attempting to travel to Germany after he fled Nigeria to Benin Republic after he was declared wanted by the Department of State Services, DSS, following the alleged discovery of weapons in his house in Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

A 24-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death with a broken beer bottle in Majeje village, Lulekani, outside Phalaborwa, South Africa on Saturday.

The suspect, Juscah Mheleni appeared before Lulekani Magistrate court on Tuesday morning, August 10, on a charge of murder.

She was remanded in custody until August 13, 2021 for profiling pending further police investigations.

It is alleged that the suspect from Majeje village, got information that her boyfriend was with another woman near a liquor outlet in the area, and she reportedly rushed to the outlet where she found him with the unidentified woman.

An argument ensued and it is reported that the suspect stabbed the boyfriend with a beer bottle. The victim, aged 36, was certified dead by paramedics on the spot. The suspect later handed herself over to the police at Namakgale.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned this incident and has urged community members to resort to lawful means when dealing with relationship challenges.

"Community members are warned against taking the law into their hands following this incident and must give the Police space to handle the case unhindered,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.

Meanwhile, Limpopo MEC for Social Development Nkakareng Rakgoale has condemned the incident in the strongest possible terms.

MEC Rakgoale says it is dissaponting to hear of such an incident at a time South Africa is commemorating women's month.

"It is very disturbing to still learn about incidents such as this during the month of August, where we are supposed to be commemorating and celebrating women. Gender based violence is not exclusively perpetrated against women. In fact women of today must emulate the women of 1956 and resolve disputes in a more peaceful manner," she stated.

"The department has dispatched a team of social workers to provide psychosocial support to the family of the victim and also to other affected parties. We once again urge people who are having problems in their relationships not to resort to violence but to rather seek professional help from our social workers. Now that the police have managed to arrest the suspect justice will prevail." she added.

Professor Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno State, conducted an impromptu test for school teachers at Baga on Monday.

According to Isa Gusau, his spokesman, the test was meant to determine the level of their qualifications and ability to teach.

Zulum reportedly told the teachers that the essence of the aptitude test was not to sack anyone, but to determine their capacity and know where to place them.

“Those that have no capacity to teach would be given a choice, either to redeploy them to administrative department or send them for further training.”

“Zulum said that at the end of each year, every teacher and his pupils will be evaluated and government will also support them with accommodation and other related services.

“After interacting and revealing their aptitude test results, Zulum announced a package of 20,000 Naira and 10 yards of fabric (Shadda) to each teacher.

“The Senior Secondary School’s Principal and the Primary School Head Teacher each got 50,000 Naira and 10 yards of fabric (Shadda),” the statement read.

The statement quoted the governor to have told the teachers: “As long as you will make meaningful impact to the society, we shall support you. We shall evaluate you, and those of you whose salaries needs to be upgraded will be updated.

“Whenever I come back to this town again, I will call a teacher by name and determine the level of his capacity and that of his pupils.”

Adamawa: APC chairman suspended for wishing President Buhari dead

The Adamawa State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the Yola South Local Government Caretaker Chairman of the party, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, for allegedly attacking President Muhammadu Buhari on social media.

An audio was posted Monday in which a voice widely recognised as that of Suleiman said to have wished that coronavirus had inflicted President Buhari and killed him.

Much heat was immediately piled on him over the social media posting, following which he denied being the offensive voice in the audio, and the state leadership of the party released a statement Tuesday afternoon in which it announced a decision to suspend him and then to investigate the said social media attack.

The APC statement, signed by the state Caretaker Publicity Secretary, Hon Mohammed Abdullahi, said the party had noted the audio clip, following which it called an emergency state working committee (SWC) meeting where the clip was replayed and deliberated upon.

“At the end, it was observed that some of the words in the audio clip were most unfortunate and required further investigation.

“Consequently, a seven-man disciplinary committee has been set up by the state working committee to investigate the issues in the audio clip and to make appropriate recommendations for action,” the statement said.

Those in the committee are Alhaji Saidu Maitalata Naira (chairman) and Barr Shagnah Maboyofe, secretary.

Members of the committee are Hon Mohammed Raji, Hon Abdullahi Wali, Hon Shadrack Obed, Alhaji Babanguda Talase, and Mr Haruna Jonah.

The party said it had to suspend the Yola South APC caretaker chairman to ensure unhindered investigation.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11TH 2021.

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

THEME: THE DAY OF SALVATION

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation) (2 Corinthians 6:2).

More than ever before, there’s a burning passion in the hearts of God’s people to preach the Gospel, just as there’s a great hunger and yearning for salvation in the hearts of men and women around the world. The Spirit has been poured out upon all flesh. Recall the words of Jesus in Acts 1:8: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

That’s the season we are in now! We’ve been endued with power to be effectual in soul winning. The message is available to everyone, and everyone can give their hearts to Christ, because this is the acceptable time! Jesus called it “...the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:19). And it’s aptly corroborated in our theme verse: “…now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation).” This is the day of salvation. Glory to God!

However, the acceptable time would wind up and judgement would begin. Jesus brought in the acceptable time; He’ll come back for the day of vengeance. But at the moment, we’re workers together with God in the acceptable time, bringing men and women into salvation (2 Corinthians 6:1).

Help those around you receive salvation through the power of God that works in you in this hour of His grace. Take the Gospel to the lost, hopeless, hurting and downtrodden in your world and in the regions beyond. Remember, the time is short; therefore, glorify God by being fervent and effectual in leading souls to Christ.

PRAYER

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Thank you dear Lord for counting me worthy to be a co-labourer with you in saving souls, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I will keep you from harm and give you as a token and pledge to Israel, proof that I will reestablish the land of Israel and reassign it to its own people again. Through you I am saying to the prisoners of darkness, ‘Come out! I am giving you your freedom!’ They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on the grassy hills.

I affirm that Christ is my life! In Him, I live, move, and have my being! I am a member of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. No unfruitful in, and around me, for I am connected to the true Vine.

The Spirit of God has made His abode in me; He has made me bigger, greater, and superior to inflation, insecurity, sickness, disease, and all the wiles of the devil. I win all the time and prosper in all I do because the life and nature of God are at work in me. Hallelujah!

This is my month of praise; the grace for increase and expansion has multiplied in my life. My success is guaranteed and unstoppable because I live in, and by the Word. I am established by God in the path of greatness, and I live and walk in the reality of my inheritance in Christ.

I live the supernatural life naturally because Christ is in me. I have no sense of lack or want, for the One who created all things, and in whom all things consist, is in me, and I reign in, with, and through Him. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

Sunday Igboho: Benin Republic stopped plane Buhari govt sent to pick agitator – Falana alleges

Quote:Femi Falana, an activist lawyer, has disclosed that the Benin Republic government refused to put freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho, on a waiting plane after his arrest in the French-speaking country in July.

Falana said the Nigerian government told their Benin Republic counterpart to repatriate Igboho, after his arrest.

The Senior Advocate spoke during an interview on BBC Yoruba on Tuesday.

He noted that the Benin Republic, however, informed the Muhammadu Buhari-led government to understand that obeying the law is sacrosanct to them.

According to Falana: “The Nigerian government asked the Benin Republic government to repatriate Sunday Igboho. In fact, we heard they had even sent an aircraft to be used to bring him down to Abuja.

“The Benin government made its Nigerian counterpart to understand that this is not a lawless society.”

Reno Omokri has reacted to photos of surrendered Boko Haram members seeking for forgiveness from Nigerians.

The Nigerian Army on Monday, August 9, released photos of the surrendered sect members carrying placards with inscriptions ''Nigerians Please Forgive Us''

Reacting to the photos via his Instagram page, Reno wrote;

Quote:''The Buhari administration shared photos of so called repentant Boko Haram terrorists and asked Nigerians to forgive them. Does it make sense to ask Nigerians to forgive people who have killed innocent Nigerians when the Buhari government wants to prosecute Sunday Igboho for protecting the same innocent Nigerians?

Why should we forgive killers and prosecute defenders? Is it because these killers are Northern Muslims like Buhari and Igboho is not? I am not understanding! How many people has Buhari himself forgiven? Has he forgiven Dasuki? Buhari that killed innocent peaceful #EndSARS protesters at #LekkiMassacre?

They even bought provisions and drinks for them. Imagine! In fact, I doubt that that sign was written by these mostly illiterate Boko Haramists. Forgive who? Tufiakwa!''

There has been drama on Facebook for hours now after a pastor announced his wedding to his new bride and it turns out she is the wife of a member of his church.

Pastor Moses Adeeyo, the General Overseer of World Bank Assembly, took to Facebook to share pictures of him and his new wife, Tina Adeeyo, clad in their traditional and their white wedding attires.

He then thanked God "for making all things beautiful in your time."

Shortly after the photos were shared, a member of the church, Bright Ben, wrote on Facebook: "My church pastor married my wife!!!"

"After sometime he stopped picking my calls and blocked my phone line. I've been looking for her until I saw this pictures yesterday online. He claimed that the Holy Spirit told him that she is his wife. Is the Holy Spirit an author of confusion.? My wife of 12yrs is now his.

But the son of the pastor has now weighed in.  Peter Adesoji Adeeyo,  who is also a pastor, revealed in a Facebook post that his father did not divorce his mother before wedding a member's wife so his mother is still legally the first wife.

Chris Okotie: The Truth About T.B Joshua. He Was A Magician & A Sorcerer (Video)
User Avatar Forum: News
Posted by: Edoman - 08-10-2021, 01:39 PM - No Replies

Pastor of the Household of God Church International Ministries, Rev Chris Okotie, has described the late founder of The Synagogue, Church of all Nations, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, better known as TB Joshua, as a magician who carried Bible around, Newspremises reports.

[url=
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kClX8izq_Zs]

Recall that Okotie, who never hid his dislike for Joshua even while he was alive, had described T.B Joshua as the “Wizard at Endor”, shortly after his death in June.

In a video shared on social media on Sunday, August 8 titled ''The Truth about T.B Joshua'', Okotie described Joshua as a man who projected himself as another ''Jesus''. He said Joshua was a fake prophet who went about carrying a bible with him.

“Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. What is the truth about TB Joshua? Who was he? Was he a product of Christianity? Or a practitioner of shamanism? Was he a servant of the Lord Jesus? Or some itinerant religious quack? Was he a true prophet, who was misunderstood? Or a hypocrite masquerading under the habiliment of the Faith?” Okotie began

Anchoring his message on the Bible book of John 8 v 32: “…Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”, Okotie began to examine the life of T.B Joshua whose name is Joshua.

“Joshua took that name because he believes he is another Jesus. He believes that God sent him to our world to bring reconciliation between God and mankind, exactly the same way the Lord Jesus was sent, and that is why he took that name Joshua,”he said.

Speaking on the identity of T.B Joshua, Okotie said the clergyman fulfilled the pattern of Bar-Jesus, a false prophet, and a sorcerer according to the Book of Acts, Chapter 13 v 6:

“He is a magician, a sorcerer and calls himself a prophet. Notice he doesn’t call himself an apostle, he doesn’t call himself a teacher, he doesn’t call himself a pastor because if he calls himself by any other name outside of prophet, he does not fulfill the pattern. So, he must stick with that appellation. He must call himself prophet so, so and so… So, he is a magician who claims to be a prophet but he is a false prophet…,” Okotie said

Okotie went further to say that T.B Joshua went about doing philanthropic work just so he can be like Jesus.

T.B Joshua was buried on July 10.

Ortom: FG Goes After Kanu, Igboho, Spares Fulani Bandits
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-10-2021, 01:36 PM - No Replies

Quote:Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has again berated the Federal Government for lack of commitment in tackling the security challenges in Nigeria.

According to the governor, security forces in the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) have demonstrated capacity with the arrest of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu; and Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho.

Ortom, who spoke on Channels Television’s ‘NewsNight’ programme on Monday, therefore, challenged the Buhari regime to go after bandits and Fulani militiamen killing, raping and kidnapping people all over the country with the same gusto it has used to pursue separatists.

The PUNCH reports that in the last few months, secessionist agitation has been loud in the Southern part of the country, championed mainly by Kanu and Igboho. The agitators cited perceived injustice in the allocation of resources and appointment into critical offices, insecurity, under-development, amongst reasons for wanting to leave the country.

Kanu, who was based in the United Kingdom, was recently hastily extradited from a foreign country. He has been detained in the custody of the Department of State Services and is facing terrorism-related charges before Justice Binta Nyako at a Federal High Court in Abuja.

On the other hand, the secret police raided Igboho’s Ibadan residence in July, killed two of his associates and arrested 12 of them. The DSS declared Igboho wanted after he narrowly escaped the raid. He was, however, intercepted at an airport in Benin Republic while he tried to catch a flight to Germany. The agitator has spent about three weeks in a Beninese custodial facility while the Nigerian Government has been pushing for his extradition.

Many Nigerians have constantly lampooned the Buhari regime for allegedly sparing bandits and terrorists on the rampage in the northern part of the country while security forces clamp down on Igboho, Kanu and other separatists.

Speaking on Monday night as a guest on the television programme monitored by The PUNCH, Ortom alleged that Fulani militiamen have consistently targeted his state because he banned open grazing.

The governor said, “I see a lot of lack of commitment on the part of the Federal Government in ensuring that we have security in this country. I will give an example: recently, the Federal Government has demonstrated the capacity by going after Nnamdi Kanu, who was leading IPOB. I am told he was even arrested in a foreign land with the cooperation of Interpol and so on.

“I heard that Sunday Igboho has been arrested. With that kind of commitment, it shows that the Federal Government has the capacity.

“Today, bandits, Fulani militia are terrorising the entire country, the country is in disarray and these Fulani militias have come out with video clips…and they have identified where they are. It was amazing that a top government official comes out to say that the Fulani militias are invisible. How? Are they spirits? Why is the government not going after these Fulani militias and bandits that are terrorising the entire country and terrorising my state?

“Just two days ago, two humanitarian workers were gunned down in my own village by these Fulani militias and their phones taken away. And the Fulani militias took the phones and when one of their (victims’) brothers called, they confirmed that they had killed them and they are in possession of their phones and that they should tell me to repeal the prohibition of open grazing otherwise they have the right to continue to kill since I said there would be no open grazing in Benue State.

“These people who are here, who are calling themselves bandits and are kidnapping our children from school, who are calling themselves Fulani militia and are killing people, driving them from their lands and taking over, why is the Federal Government not going after them like they went after Sunday Igboho and went after Nnamdi Kanu?”

Ortom said over 1.5 million persons have been displaced in Benue State due to the attacks by marauders, adding that the All Progressives Congress administration has failed in all aspects of governance.

“APC has failed this country. Is it security, is it economically, politically and socially? Where are we today? We can’t go to our villages. How many Nigerians can move from Lagos to Kano, Abuja to their villages? It is a problem. APC has completely failed, so, why should I go there to join them? To do what?” he queried.

The PUNCH had earlier reported that presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, said separatists were not the only ones feeling the maddening heat of the government but bandits and terrorists were also being treated in the language they understand.

A Nigerian lady, Oluwaseun Sakaba, whose husband, Lt. Col I. Sakaba, was killed by Boko Haram members in 2018, has slammed the Nigerian Army after the military shared photos of repentant sect members with placards seeking forgiveness from Nigerians.

Sakaba was one of the 44 soldiers killed by the insurgents during an attack on 157 Task Force Battalion in Metele, Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State in November 2018. Read here.

Brent crude price slides to $68.86/barrel
August 10, 2021

OIL prices fell about three per cent yesterday, extending last week’s steep losses on the back of a rising United States’ dollar and concerns that new coronavirus-related restrictions in Asia, especially China, could slow a global recovery in fuel demand.

A United Nations panel’s dire warning on climate change added to the gloomy mood after fires in Greece have razed homes and forests and parts of Europe suffered deadly floods last month.

Brent futures fell $1.84, or 2.6 per cent, to $68.86 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude fell $1.88, or 2.8per cent, to $66.40.

That put both benchmarks down about 10per cent over the past 10 sessions. WTI traded at its lowest intraday since May and was on track for its lowest close since May 28. Brent, meanwhile, was on track for its lowest close since July 19. “Oil prices are under considerable pressure … with COVID concerns once again being front and centre,” said Craig Erlam, senior analyst at OANDA, noting:

“Rising Chinese Delta cases and restrictions havecast doubt over the economy in the short-term. Wall Street banks Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley all cut their China growth forecasts on Monday, after export growth slowed unexpectedly and on concerns that the resurgent coronavirus could crimp economic activity.

China reported 125 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, up from 96 a day earlier. In Malaysia and Thailand, infections hit daily records. China’s export growth slowed more than expected in July after outbreaks of COVID-19 cases and floods, while import growth was also weaker than expected.

China’s crude oil imports fell in July and were down sharply from the record levels of June 2020. A rally in the U.S. dollar to a near threeweek high against a basket of other currencies also weighed on oil prices after Friday’s stronger than expected U.S. jobs report spurred bets that the Federal Reserve could move more quickly to tighten U.S. monetary policy.

A stronger U.S. dollar makes oil more expensive for holders of other currencies. Market focus was on a number of U.S. Federal Reserve policymakers due to speak on Monday and U.S. inflation data due on Wednesday, which will be watched for further clues of when the Fed might start tapering.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, posted a deficit of 4.6 billion riyals ($1.23 billion) in the second quarter, a huge drop from 109.2 billion riyals reported in the same quarter a year ago.Saudi Aramco reported a near four-fold rise in second-quarter net profit on Sunday, and said it was scouting for other potential deals to offer to investors and unlock capital after the oil giant in June closed a $12.4 billion deal for its crude pipeline network.

Power failure, COVID-19, others stall N88.76bn oil production

10 August 2021

NNPC Corporate Headquarters, Abuja

Power failure, COVID-19 outbreak and production shut-in at various crude oil terminals prevented the production of 3.31 million barrels of oil valued at about N88.76bn in one month.

Updates on key setbacks that affected oil production in the month of March 2021, as posted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation on its website on Monday, showed that power failure alone stalled the production of one million barrels of oil.

Further analysis of the report showed that a total of 500 vandalised pipeline points were recorded between March 2020 and March 2021.

On crude oil losses, figures from the oil firm indicated that the Bonga Terminal lost the highest volume of crude oil (one million barrels), followed by the Forcados Terminal (720,000 barrels).

The Abo, Egina and Bonny terminals also recorded crude oil losses, as they could not produce 400,000 barrels, 600,000 barrels and 590,000 barrels respectively.

Industry figures on the price of Brent, the crude against which Nigeria’s oil is priced, showed that the average cost of the commodity in March this year was $65.41 per barrel.

Therefore, for the 3,310,000 barrels of crude oil that was not produced during the review month, Nigeria lost about $216.51m (N88.768bn at the official N410/$ exchange rate).

Explaining the setbacks that affected crude oil production in the latest report, the corporation stated that at the Forcados Terminal, injection into the facility was curtailed due to repairs at Oteghele, Eresiggbere and Chanomi/Odid.

It added that receipts were curtailed at Forcados due to leaks observed along the Trans Forcados Pipeline and subsequent repairs of the TFP.

“The cumulative loss for the period was 720,000 bbls (barrels),” the oil firm stated.

At the Abo Terminal, it said production shut down occurred due to COVID-19 outbreak at the terminal, as this amounted to a cumulative loss of 400,000 barrels.

On what happened at the Bonga Terminal, the corporation said, “Power outage resulted in a shutdown on January 1. This gave an aggregate loss of 1,000,000 barrels.”

For the Egina Terminal, it stated that there was production shut-in due to pigging activities, resulting in a cumulative loss of production within the period of 600,000 barrels.

At the Bonny Terminal, NNPC said, “Aiteo closed in some wells due to flow line leak and Ohaji was shut down due to leak on Egbema/Assa trunk line. These amounted to aggregate loss of 590,000 barrels.”

On products theft and pipeline security, it stated that these issues had continued to destroy value and put NNPC at disadvantaged competitive position.

“A total of 500 vandalised points have been recorded between March 2020 to March 2021,” the corporation stated.

NNPC’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Kennie Obateru, said the oil firm was in collaboration with the local communities and other stakeholders on how to address the menace.

He said the corporation and its partners had continuously strived to reduce and eventually eliminate pipeline vandalism and other acts that impact negatively on production.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the assault of a Nigerian diplomat by immigration officials in Indonesia.

The victim, whose name was not mentioned, was manhandled and arrested by immigration officials on Saturday in front of his official quarters in the Asian country.

A viral video of the event shows at least three men in a vehicle assaulting the official, ignoring his screams of pain.

While two of the men held his hands and pinned him down in the backseat, another freely assaulted his unprotected head as he cried out in pain.

“The unfortunate incident is against international law and the Vienna Conventions governing Diplomatic and Consular Relations between states,” the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

A screenshot taken on August 9, 2021, shows the Nigerian diplomat being assaulted by immigration officials in Indonesia in a moving vehicle.

“The Nigerian Government has complained strongly to the Government of Indonesia, and the Ambassador of Indonesia to Nigeria was summoned by the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“The Ambassador explained what he understood happened and apologised unreservedly on behalf of the Government of Indonesia. The Nigerian Government has sent an official protest to the Government of Indonesia.”

In addition to the Indonesian Ambassador’s apology, the immigration officials responsible for the assault have also apologised to the victim.

“The Ambassador of Nigeria to Indonesia has confirmed that the immigration official involved had since come to the Nigerian Embassy to apologise to the Ambassador and the diplomat concerned,” the Foreign Ministry added.

WHO confirms first-ever case of ‘highly infectious’ Marburg virus disease in West Africa

A first case of Marburg virus disease have been confirmed by Health authorities in Guinea, in the southern Gueckedou prefecture.

This is the first time Marburg, a highly infectious disease that causes haemorrhagic fever and in the same family as the virus that causes Ebola has been identified in the country and in West Africa.

This is coming less than two months after Guinea declared an end to an Ebola outbreak that erupted earlier this year.

It was gathered that the patient had sought treatment at a local clinic in Koundou area of Gueckedou, where a medical investigation team had been dispatched to probe his worsening symptoms.

Samples taken from a now-deceased patient and tested by a field laboratory in Gueckedou as well as Guinea’s national haemorrhagic fever laboratory, turned out positive for the Marburg virus. Further analysis by the Institut Pasteur in Senegal confirmed the result.

Dr Matshidiso Moeti, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Africa said;

Quote:“We applaud the alertness and the quick investigative action by Guinea’s health workers. The potential for the Marburg virus to spread far and wide means we need to stop it in its tracks.
“We are working with the health authorities to implement a swift response that builds on Guinea’s past experience and expertise in managing Ebola, which is transmitted in a similar way.”

Efforts are underway to find the people who may have been in contact with the patient. As the disease is appearing for the first time in the country, health authorities are launching public education and community mobilization to raise awareness and galvanize support to help curb widespread infection.

According to WHO, Marburg virus is transmitted to people from fruit bats, and it spreads among humans through direct contact with the bodily fluids of infected people, surfaces and materials. Illness begins with high fever, severe headache and general discomfort.

Infected patients also develop severe haemorrhagic signs within seven days. Case fatality rates have varied from 24 percent to 88 percent in past outbreaks, depending on virus strain and case management.

She later spent the night at her boyfriend’s house, gave him Sh1000 and the mobile phone she had stolen from Abdi and she left for Eldoret.

Abdi had gone to a hospital in South C when she received a phone call and was informed that Embule had left.

Daily Devotional for Tuesday 10th August

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

TUESDAY 10TH AUGUST.

SEPARATED FROM JUDGEMENT

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

There’s a word of judgement and condemnation that’s already working in the world. Anyone who’s born into this world inherits that judgement. But when you’re born again, a new life begins with acquittal: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). Romans 8:1 declares: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

It parallels the words of Jesus in our opening verse; anyone who believes in Him is severed from judgement. You’re not numbered amongst them that perish; there’s a divine decree to that effect. All the negativities in the world: the darkness, diseases, sicknesses, infirmities, poverty, defeat and failure are a result of the curse, the judgement that’s at work in the world. But you’re not of this world (John 17:16); you’re from above; from a heavenly kingdom.

Keep yourself separated from, and in dominion over, all the negative influences and elements of this world through your faith-filled words. 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 says “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak….” Keep declaring the Word of victory over your life.

Every so often, affirm that you live above this world and have overcome its failing systems! Your life is for the glory of God, for the expression of His righteousness, dominion and excellence. No sickness, disease or infirmity should be allowed to thrive in your body, because the Spirit of Him that raised Christ from the dead lives and perambulates in you! He’s invigorated your whole being with the divine life. Have this consciousness and make these affirmations always.

CONFESSION

My life is the expression of God’s righteousness, dominion and excellence. No sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive in my body, because the Spirit of Him that raised Christ from the dead, lives and perambulates in me. I’m far removed from the destruction or judgement that works in this present world of darkness, because I belong and live in the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Amen.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that the Word of God is for my progress, blessings, and promotion! My heart is opened to receive God’s Word and live by it today. I walk day after day by the light of God’s Word. I am not moved by the natural circumstances that exist in the world. God’s Word is the light by which I operate in my job, finances, family, and everything that concerns me.

I am aware of God’s bountiful provisions for me, and I am enjoying them because I see by the greater light of His Word. I refuse to be swayed by the many contrary voices in the world; rather, I make a deliberate choice to look away from everything else and focus my gaze on the Word. By this, I continuously function in the realities of the Kingdom. Hallelujah! I am rooted and grounded in the Word; therefore, grace and peace are multiplied in my life.

I have the grace to face challenging situations and still come out victorious! I am powered by the Spirit, and the strength of the Spirit wells up within me each time I am faced with adverse circumstances that challenge my faith! God’s indwelling and abiding presence is my guarantee that, come what may, I will always be a winner. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

Tinubu Undergoes Second Surgery In US Hospital, Returns To UK On Crutches - SR
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-09-2021, 08:53 PM - No Replies

Quote:The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has undergone another knee surgery at the John Hopkins University Hospital in Maryland, the United States, SaharaReporters has gathered.

The APC chieftain, it was learnt, left the US for the United Kingdom on crutches, a few days after the surgery.

Sources close to Tinubu told SaharaReporters that he wanted the surgery in Paris, France but changed his plan over rumour of his death.

“Tinubu had his second surgery at John Hopkins University in Maryland recently. He was accompanied by a popular Nigerian doctor in Chicago. He had wanted the surgery in Paris but when rumour was rife about his death, he hurriedly left for Nigeria and went to John Hopkins,” one of the sources said.

"He left the US for the UK on crutches," another source revealed.

SaharaReporters had on July 31 reported that Tinubu, who has had several medical trips this year alone, had a surgery about two weeks earlier and could be billed for another one.

The APC National Leader has been off official and party functions in the country for a while, amidst talks that he is being positioned for the 2023 presidency to succeed the incumbent repressive regime of Muhammadu Buhari.

“Tinubu is hospitalised in Maryland, US. His health is failing. He couldn’t participate in launching his Arewa library, and he couldn’t participate in the Local Government Area elections last week. He could not attend today’s APC congress due to health reasons.

“He had a surgery last week,” an authoritative source had disclosed.

A few days after the story, photographs of Tinubu hosting Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state in London surfaced where the duo were seen together in a room.

Reports have it that the meeting was held to put an end to speculations surrounding the APC National Leader’s health status.

In January 2021, Tinubu was also reported sick and hospitalised in Paris, France.

Tinubu had earlier complained of exhaustion and travelled out to rest before the news of his collapse went viral.

He was flown to Paris for medical attention in the first week of January.

SaharaReporters had on June 15 reported that Tinubu was also in Paris, battling some old age ailment.

“Tinubu is in Paris, France for a medical checkup. His health is deteriorating. Old age and other stuff, but he still wants to be president. This could mean another medical tourism presidency for our country,” a top source had at that time revealed.

SaharaReporters had reported the conspicuous absence of Tinubu during the one-day working visit of President Buhari to inaugurate various projects in Lagos State.

Earlier, the President’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, had tried to downplay the obvious rift between the two leaders and their camps, saying the interview the President granted to Arise Interview where he mentioned Lagos was not about Buhari.

“You cannot sit there in Lagos, for instance, and decide on the fate of APC on zoning,” Buhari had said while responding to a question during the interview.

“The hope of this administration is to see APC last beyond it. Therefore we should allow the party to decide. The restructuring of the party has begun from the bottom to the top with the membership card registration. Every member of the party must be involved. We will soon conduct our convention. No single member of the party will be allowed to go against the wish of the party.”

Shehu had maintained that there was no rift between the two leaders and the reference to Lagos was not to Tinubu.

Buni In CCB Asset Declaration Scandal - Saharareporters
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-09-2021, 08:51 PM - No Replies

Quote:Governor Mai-Mala Buni of Yobe state is currently enmeshed in a multi-billion naira asset declaration scandal at the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), SaharaReporters has gathered.

The Nigerian constitution and the CCB/Code of Conduct Tribunal Act make it mandatory for public officers and civil servants across the levels of government to periodically declare their assets.

SaharaReporters gathered that the scandal is being discussed in hush tones in the Yobe State Government House and National Secretariat of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abuja.

Buni has been chairing the caretaker committee of the ruling party since the sacking of Adams Oshiomole in June 2020.

Spirited efforts by the governor and his backers to cover up the scandal however failed last week when his pre-tenure form (form CC81), which was deposited at CCB on May 23, 2019, got leaked to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Department of State Security Services (DSS) and National Intelligence Agency, a source told SaharaReporters.

Buni, who was the National Secretary of the APC until his election as Yobe state governor in 2019, was involved in anticipatory declaration, a criminal offence under the CCB law.

“Though he has immunity but he committed offences contrary to Section 15 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act, Cap C15 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 which are punishable under Section 23 (2) of the same Act,” a Government House source told SaharaReporters.

An analysis of the document submitted by the governor showed he declared having N2 billion as cash in six Nigerian banks.

Further checks showed that the accounts are being operated by one firm, MDG Construction and General Company Limited.

Buni, in the document however claimed to have no cash in foreign accounts.

Despite claiming his two main sources of income were farming and business, a closer look at the document revealed that the governor declared 25 buildings in Abuja, Kano and Yobe states valued at N3.1 billion.

Also, Buni declared that he has six farms valued at N591 million in Abuja and Yobe states.

Similarly, the APC National Caretaker Chairman declared that he has three filling stations valued at N425 million.

Disbelief is trailing the governor’s claim that he earns N42 million from a farm worth N7 million in Damaturu in the face of Boko Haram insurgency. Three of his cars he claimed are also worth N58.5 million.

A source at the CCB told SaharaReporters that investigation of the governor’s anticipatory declaration has gone far at the agency.

“They are doing everything to cover the scandal up but investigation is really ongoing. Even though his associates are doing everything to cover up the scandal, we believe President Muhammad Buhari won’t interfere and ensure proper probe of the scandal in line with his claims of zero tolerance for corruption,” the source told SaharaReporters.

Miracle money is real, Jesus started it. Leave Apostle Johnson Suleman alone, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin tells critics

The founder and senior prophet of Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry, Warri Delta State,  billionaire Prophet, Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has insisted that there is miracle money across churches in the country.
Fufeyin said even Jesus performed wonder of miracle money by locating money in the mouth of a fish to settle taxes.

He backed his statement by making reference to John 14:12:  "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
According to him, if Jesus did it and said his followers will do greater works, only spiritually ignorant people criticizes such spiritual things they have no explanation to.

Fufeyin said there were enormous powers loaded within believers which could be comprehend without ignorant.

Fufeyin, who was responding to a trending allegation against Apostle Johnson Suleman, a televangelist and the senior pastor and general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International said it would be difficult for someone without spiritual understanding to know how miracle money works.

“This is not the first time that miracle money started. Jesus Christ got miracle money when he was confronted by tax collectors. He sent his disciples into the river telling them that they will catch a fish. He told them to open the mouth of the fish for the  miracle money. He used that money to pay tax,” he said.

Fufeyin clarified that miracle money is however not stealing or robbing a financial institution but praying to reality what already belongs to an individual but obstructed by spiritual forces.

He said people could even get much more than they ever bargain with prayer, noting that if people could get jobs miraculously and get healing by prayers, the same prayer could produce favour in form of money.

“Many prophets and pastors have been doing it before today. It did not start with Apostle Suleman.

“Miracle money doesn’t come from CBN or jump down from no where. They are monies that rightly belong to you. There are people who should favour you but are not willing to. It takes miracle for God to compel them to release much more than what they should give you,” Fufeyin said in a video made available online.

According to him, miracle is real and people must be convinced because the angel of God, on account of prayer will go trouble some people to release certain financial blessings.

Using a practical example, Fufeyin asked people to consider how they may not be willing to help some people even when they have what the person is looking or asking for.

He added that it is only the favour and angel of God that could make people to be remembered and provided with much more than what they ever imagined or asked for.
