The CEO and founder of the group, Seyi Oluyole said in an interview that she uses dance to take children from broken homes off the street and at the same time enroll them in school.
Ever since they got featured by Rihanna on her Instagram page, the Dream Catchers‘ Dance Crew has moved from total oblivion to world wide popularity.
They went ahead to perform for Naomi Campbell on her recent visit to Nigeria.

In her words:
When I first started this project I started in my own little way. I started teaching the kids how to dance and as they realize the importance of dance, I will say to them ‘if you don’t do well in school, you can’t dance again’. Because of the love they have for dance they started doing great in their academics
I do not just take in any child. One of both parents have to sign and give their consent to let them live with me in turn, they will be enrolled in school
When I first met these children they could barely speak English, now You will be amazed at how fluently they speak English, it becomes easy to forget where they’re from
In my own little way of helping them with their academics, they will grow brighter
My mother is always concerned about me getting married, she wonders if I would ever find a man who can put up with all these because in this part of the world if a woman lives alone, that’s a problem. Then she has children living in Utah her…even the man in question will think he’s going bankrupt since he has to take care of everyone
All these children from poor or broken homes didn’t choose that for themselves. If we’re really allowed to decide which family we want to be born in, nobody will be born poor. I will encourage everyone out there who can afford to help support a less privileged child, please do so, because by doing that we are growing the next generation who will not need to steal to survive
