WEDNESDAY 21ST OCTOBER.



KNOW HIM AS LORD


Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).


When we say, “Jesus is Lord,” it’s much more than a religious expression; it means He’s One with supreme authority. He’s Master and Ruler; He’s the One to be reverenced and adored! That’s what “Lord” means.


Some have only been acquainted with Him as Saviour, but He’s more than a Saviour. He’s the One that has the pre-eminence, and to whom service and obedience are due. You must know Jesus in this light and walk in this consciousness every day. In your family, business, academics, job, finances and everything that has to do with your life, relate to Him as Lord! In other words, let Him have supremacy and ascendancy. Let Him have the final say in all that concerns you.

Remember, He’s the only wise God; therefore, submit to the supremacy of His will, counsel and wisdom. And if you’ve never been born again, if you haven’t yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, say this prayer and mean it with all your heart: “O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God.


 I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Hallelujah!”



CONFESSION

Lord Jesus, I recognize you as my Lord, Master and Ruler, the One to whom I belong and that has the final say in my life. I believe with all my heart and declare with my mouth that you’re Lord over everything in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth. I walk in the consciousness and revelation of your greatness, dominion and lordship today. Amen.

I affirm that my days are full of joy, grace, pleasure, beauty, and glory. I’m from the government of heaven, I was born right in God’s presence, where there’s fullness of joy, and I dwell with Christ at His right hand; where there’s an endless pleasure.


 I am rightly positioned by the Spirit and the word. Daily, as I consciously meditate and make God’s Word the contemplation of my spirit, my mind is inundated with possibility thoughts, pictures, and ideas; 


I see glory, excellence, success, victory, and abundance only. Hallelujah! The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places for I have a goodly heritage. Hallelujah! I’m invigorated with divine might and ability in my spirit for the supernatural. 


Weakness has no room in me; for my body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, and the joy of the Lord is my strength! I am powered to do the impossible because greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. 


I grow stronger by the day, like a cedar in Lebanon, and I flourish like the palm tree! I am productive and my influence is spreading everywhere. I increase on all sides by the power of the Spirit, and of my increase, progress, and prosperity, there’s no end! I’ve been chosen and ordained by God to be productive in all aspects of my life! 


The circumstances of life bows before me because I function on God’s terms and reason with the mind of Christ. My outlook on life is from the perspective of the Word who gives me wisdom and the mind-set of the righteous. 


I am a champion and a victor forever! Glory to God. Hallelujah!

MEMORISE:

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. Isaiah 55:8

READ: Exodus 33:12-23

12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

MESSAGE:

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Psalm 25:4

The word ‘way’ was used four times in Proverbs 25 (verse 4, 8, 9. 12) while ‘paths’ was used twice (verse 4 and 10). This indicates the importance of depending on God’s ways and having Him direct one’s paths.

As Christians, we can know God’s way by immersing ourselves in His truth. David in Psalm 25:5 pleaded: 
 “Lead me in thy truth, and teach me.” God’s word is where His truth is found. It contains instructions on how to live a fulfilling Christian life. God’s percepts are not hidden; if only we would just read and apply them.

You cannot be a Christian and not study the word of God daily. Christianity is not the same as attending church services. If you don’t have a relationship with Christ, fostered by reading His word and praying daily, then you are not Christ-like.

Children who are close to their parents usually know their parents’ ways. They can tell what food they like, how hot or cold they want their drinks and so on. They know what can make their parents angry and exactly what will make them glad. They know all these because of the constant association they have with their parents. Likewise, when you read your Bible and spend time with God regularly, you will get to know Him more and more daily.

If, on the other hand, you only read your Bible when a Pastor is on the altar, the best you can know of God is what he or she tells you, which would never be sufficient. Imagine someone having to tell you everything about your own father- that is proof that you don’t know Him.

Is a huge privilege to know your Father’s ways. His ways are so distinct and learning them would distinguish you greatly in all you do (Isaiah 55:9). God will show you His ways through His word. Study His word diligently.

KEY POINT:

Meditate on God’s word day and night. It shall be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105).
