UNDERSTANDING GOD’S TIMING


Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard... (Daniel 10:12).

We’re in a very special dispensation in God’s Kingdom. Through the knowledge of the Word, we’re guided by the Spirit to walk in accordance with His plan and timing.

For example, in Daniel 9, the Bible tells us that Daniel, while in exile with the children of Israel, understood God’s timing as he studied the writings of Jeremiah the Prophet. He found out they were meant to be in that captivity for seventy years and had almost exhausted their time in captivity. 

However, as nothing seemed to be changing, Daniel decided to seek the Lord in fasting and prayer to bring God’s programme into reality.

In the closing days of Jesus’ ministry in Israel, He wept over Jerusalem because they didn’t know the “time” of their visitation. The Lord whom they had been waiting for had come to them, but they didn’t know it. Many are like that today.


Make it your priority to be in sync with God’s will and timing for your life. Study the Scriptures avidly, and give time to prayer. We’re sent by God to enforce His will in the earth, using the Name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.


But if you don’t know God’s will and timing, things will happen in the earth that are neither in your interest nor in the Lord’s interest. This is why you must pray in the Spirit for the nations, for the Church of God, and for ministers of the Gospel around the world. Pray as though the kingdom depended on you, for it does. Hallelujah!



PRAYER

Precious Father, thank you for seasons of the miraculous and manifestations of your works and blessings like never before, which will culminate in the rapture of the Church. I pray for the saints around the world who are facing severe persecutions and injustice, that they be strengthened to stand firm in all the will of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I pray that He will cause you to increase, in every way, cause you to make progress in your life, in the Name of Jesus! May He continually reveal Himself to you, in a greater measure, may His purpose be fulfilled in you.I speak in the Name of Jesus, 

that the power of the Spirit of God will move you from where you are today to the next and higher level of success. I decree in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, 


that circumstances, men, materials, finances, will fall into place to cause you to move to the next and higher level of success. The grace of God is working in you, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. 


Doors are opening for you now, opportunities are opening for you now, in the Name of Jesus. I speak by the power of God, your name is coming up for opportunities now, your file is coming up in the Name of Jesus.


 They have to remember you in the right place now, in that place of opportunity they remember you now in the Name of Jesus.

MEMORISE:

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Isaiah 49:16

READ:  Luke 5:1-9

 1And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

MESSAGE:

God has designed life such that as men, we are dependent on each other. Once in a while, we might need help and may become weary if it does not come (Proverbs 13:12). I have experienced this countless of times but God has always helped me. He is the ever-present help in time of need (Psalm 46:1).

Sometimes, there may be nobody to help. At other times, those you have trusted may just decide against helping you, but not God. David, in Psalm 27:10 said:
 “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.”

Even if everybody were to forsake you in your time of need, God would never do so. The Yorubas say that when fire burns a parent and his/her child at the same time, the parent would naturally focus on saving him/herself first irrespective of the depth of love towards that child. However, with God, He will put you first. In Isaiah 49:15, God asked a vital question:
“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”

Can you remember the explosion that occurred in Lagos in 2001? Many people were so scared that they left their children behind and ran for their lives. When such things happen. Mothers forget their suckling children. May we never experience such again in the mighty name of Jesus.

At other times too, those who want to help, may have tries their best, but unable to save the situation. Doctors are great but once in a while, even they do not have solutions to some health problems. Although some ailments have been termed incurable by man, there is no such thing with God. He does the impossible.

Set your love upon God, then call upon Him today. He will answer you (Psalm 91:14-15).

ACTION POINT:

I join my faith with yours now. Ask for God’s intervention in that area where you need help desperately.

*TODAY’S WORD ?*
I’d love to tell you that if you stay in faith, if you believe, GOD will always answer your prayer within twenty-four hours, or at least within the first week. But we know that’s not reality. GOD promises He will be true to His Word, but He never puts a timeframe on it. In fact, He tells us that we need patience to see the promises come to pass. Sure, it would be a lot easier if GOD told us when we were going to get well, when we would meet the right person, or when our child would straighten up. But the truth is, that wouldn’t take any faith. It takes faith to say, “GOD, I don’t know when You are going to do it, but I trust You enough to believe that You will do it, that the answer is already in my future.” 

Today and every day let this be your prayer: “GOD, give me the grace to accept Your timing.” That means you’re asking for GOD’s strength, His supernatural empowerment to stand strong while you are waiting. Choose to keep believing, choose to praise Him, and choose to accept His timing, whether it’s twenty minutes or twenty years, knowing that what GOD promised He will bring to pass.

Father, thank You for Your hand of favor, blessing and mercy on my life. You are good and faithful. Because of that I trust You. I trust Your love, and I trust Your timing in *JESUS*’ name. Amen.
