You will find far more things to restrain in mlb franchise since they have more moving parts such as multiple degrees below the majors and multiple drafts/more prospects, whereas 2k just has the g league which doesnt function a great deal of function in sport, however also the cpu in 2k does not appear to make as many questionable moves as from the show franchise or rtts, As an example in 1 season, the braves flipped fried and a prospect of morton in the beginning of the year, then ahead of the deadline while holding a wild card place and competing for the division, decided to dump morton and soroka for little return.
I've never seen any similar moves like that in at least 50 franchises on 2k So yes there is more to perform and control mlb the show which can make it even more pleasurable, but it demonstrates that SDS put far more time in their money making mode than franchise or RTTS. IMO trades in franchise are totally broken. Possible matters far more than anything else. As an Example, last year I exchanged Mitch Keller Starling Marte, and Cole Tucker to get Mike Trout. A NBA 2K player past his prime and two guys you have never heard about for the best baseball NBA 2K participant in 100 years. Also, there is a good deal of depth in the owner mode for 2k.
You get to employ you own team (Yes you can in The Display as well), but you can have conversations with such folks and they will give you advice on who to scout, draft, etc.. It is also possible to have conversations and interviews until they are drafted by you. NBA 2K players possess a sin and it goes if they don't perform well or get less playing time, but you can talk to your NBA 2K players and attempt to cheer them up. 2k also reveals social media's that is an wonderful thing in itself. It has much more depth than The Show.
Franchise isn't quite as bad although As I mentioned in another comment 2K has the benefit of a studio. If you don't like trades then don't make them. The 2K stuff you mention is more fluff than substance. It could be considered fluff but it makes the experience much better. If I did like playing with The Show OOTP and I'd be enjoying. Why folks simulate franchise seasons it blows my mind. That appears mind. On the topic of fluff, The Show's RTTS experience is so barebones. It's hard to cheap nba 2k20 mt explain it without using 1000 characters but I promise if every The Show NBA 2K player spent some time playing with MyCareer on 2k17 they would never be satisfied playing RTTS.
