SUNDAY 21ST JUNE.



YOU’RE ACTING OUT A SCRIPT

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).


How beautiful and inspiring this is; it shows that predestination is at work in us. As God’s children, our lives have been prearranged; we’re acting out a script written by the best and greatest Scriptwriter of all time—the Holy Spirit.

It reminds of the words of Jesus referenced in Hebrews 10:7; He said, “…Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” His day-to-day life when He walked the earth was a fulfilment of that which was written concerning Him before the world began. In many places in the Scriptures, referring to Jesus, you’d find statements such as, “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the Prophet.” Jesus acted out the script that was already written about Him. It’s the same with us today.

Everything that happens to you, whether good or bad, isn’t an accident; there’s nothing happening to you today that’s a surprise to God. He fashioned all things to work out together for your good (Romans 8:28). As read in our theme verse, your path has been prepared ahead of time. There’s neither defeat nor failure in that script. And the script isn’t going to change.

Yours is to simply play your role, and not try to rewrite the script. Don’t try to make God “do” something; He’s already done everything and given you everything you require for an excellent life. 


That’s what the script (His Word) shows. Live your life according to the script. Accept and declare what He’s said concerning you and you’d live a glorious and excellent life of purpose.


CONFESSION

I know who I am. I’m full of God by the Holy Spirit, doing the works which He planned for me ahead of time. I’m walking in His predestined path for me and in that path, there’s health, abundance, perpetual victory and perfection of all that concerns me. Amen.

My mind is anointed to think the “God-kind” of thoughts. Daily, as I meditate on God’s Word, I build a wealth of thoughts that keep me in the arena of glory, health, and prosperity, causing me to live the best life here on earth.

 I am full of the Spirit. Hallelujah! I have received not the spirit of this world, but the spirit, which is of God, and I know the things that are freely given unto me of God. 

Which things also I speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches. Hallelujah!


 I am a Joint-heir with Christ; the seed of Abraham and the whole world belongs to me. Nothing is permitted to happen to me by chance! Everywhere I go, I make things happen. 

I am not the poor trying to get rich but I am the rich discovering what belongs to me in Christ Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

MEMORIZE:

BIBLE READING: 2 Kings 7:1-2

1. Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

2. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

MESSAGE

God is a specialist in handling situations tagged impossible. He can use your case to demonstrate to the world that there is no situation, no matter how bad that He cannot reverse.

Have you been waiting a long time for that precious promise of God to come to pass? Your season of divine visitation has come in the mighty name of Jesus.

Sarah Abraham’s wife, laughed at the prophecy of her having a baby within a year. She knew her age and the deadness of her husbands fertility system. Indeed, God had to ask them: “Is anything too hard for the Lord? Genesis 18:14”

For those of you who are overwhelmed by the doctors report concerning your case, I am here to let you know that the report of the Lord will override every negative report concerning you in the mighty name of Jesus.

Lazarus was dead and buried; his grave must have started to stink, yet the Lord moved into that hopeless situation and reversed the irreversible (John 11:1-45 ).

Are you struggling with poverty? Have you been labelled a permanent failure? Have you been told that at your age, there is no miracle that can cause you to receive your hearts desire?

If God sees that your season is naturally over, He reminds the world that He changes times and seasons (Daniel 2:21). If the world boasts that they have finished your case, He reminds them that He knows what is in the darkness (Daniel 2:22).

I pray for an expedited reversal of every negative circumstance in your life today. The Christian life is no ordinary natural existence; it is supernatural. It takes supernatural power to reverse the irreversible and move the immovable.

This season, you will encounter the supernatural power of God, to the point where whatever was irreversible will be reversed, and whatever was immovable will be moved in your favour, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, please shake the earth and make the impossible possible in my life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

RESTORATION TODAY

TOPIC: *CHILDREN OF ZION [2]*

"But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance." Obadiah 1:17.

*MESSAGE*
Yesterday, we received God's promises concerning dwellers of Zion. But there is a basic question we did not yet answer: Where was Zion today? The writer of the epistle to the Hebrews help us understand this:

"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel." (Hebrews 12: 22-24).  

Zion is the presence of God in the church and in our hearts. Zion is the experience of a foretaste of our heavenly Jerusalem today—where there will be no more pain, sorrow or sadness. Zion speaks of the access we have as Christians to dispatch angels on assignment on our behalf. Zion is the connection we have with the heroes of faith that has gone ahead of us and the access we have to the power as of old that worked with them. Zion is our access to the blood of Jesus which purchases our redemption and continues to offer protection to us from all evil.

The blessings of Zion are innumerable. It is the exclusive reality that categorises us as the blessed children of God and assures of enjoying the full power of heaven. Have you found your way to Zion?

* When God's favour came upon Joseph, the prison warder gave him divine respect. When the favour of God came upon Esther, Ahasuerus gave her divine respect. When the favour of God came upon the little boy Samuel, men gave him divine respect. 1Samuel 2:26 says that "the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord, and also with men."

Indeed, *WHEN YOU ARE IN FAVOUR WITH GOD, YOU WILL HAVE FAVOUR WITH MEN TOO because God does not follow PROTOCOL.* Don't write yourself off! *DON’T ALLOW SATAN IN YOUR SPIRIT*
*Read Proverbs 20:27*

27. The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart.

*EXPOSITION*

It is believed in several quarters that man is tripartite, i.e. comprises body, soul and spirit. The spirit of man is so important in his makeup. It has been variously described as man’s essence, life-force, and inner self. Basically, it is what sustains man (Pro. 15:13; 16:32; 17:22; 18:14; 20:27; 25:28), and the medium of communication between him and the Divine (God). 

When a man’s spirit is under the devil’s control, it is a great disaster, because the following will be happening:

1. Becoming the devil’s image, since the devil is hovering over his spirit, thus replicating himself in the man; and
2. There will be absence of light on the candle of the person’s spirit (cf. Prov. 20:27; 1 Jn. 3:13ff). He who loses his light loses his destiny. This accounts for why some people blindly launch out before their times, thus resulting in burn-out before getting to their destinies. May that not be your lot. Amen.

But, how do people get under this dangerous and disastrous control of the devil? Basically, he who doesn’t surrender his life to Christ would have to be tormented by the devil (Jas. 4:7). Also, sin locks one’s spirit under the devil’s bondage (Rom. 6:16; Heb. 2:15; 1 Jn. 3:8,9). For instance, sinful relationships and unholy sexual intercourse (premarital and extramarital) result in terrible blood covenants that have destroyed so many lives and destinies. 

These sinful involvements put people under satanic kingdom in the forms of demonic possession, consciously and unconsciously (cf. Mk. 16:9; Lk. 8:2), demonic obsession (the devilish disturbances), demonic vexation, e.g. insanity, convulsion, etc. (Matt. 17:15-18), and demonic oppression, e.g. Perpetual sicknesses, barrenness, etc. (cf. Matt. 12:22).

The only way out is to come to Jesus who has the power to deliver from the devil’s control (Acts 4:12; 10:38; 1 Cor. 15:57; 1 Jn. 3:8). Have you accepted His Lordship? If not, do that now!

*PRAYER POINTS:*

1. Because I have accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour, I withdraw my spirit from the control of the devil and his demons, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, take total charge of my life, in every respect, in Jesus’ name.
3. Pray against the operations of the devil in our schools, from the pre-elementary to the tertiary institutions.

TOPIC: KEY FACTS ABOUT THE WISDOM OF GOD
The wisdom of God is a major sponsor of the works of God


SCRIPTURE: Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: Daniel 2:20

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The wisdom of God is the secret of stardom, royalty and blessing in the Kingdom.

We serve a God of wisdom. He operates by unsearchable dimensions of wisdom. Scriptures make it clear that the wisdom of God is a major sponsor of the works of God (Psalm 104:24; Proverbs 3:19-20; Jeremiah 10:12).

Now, we are going to look at five critical facts regarding the wisdom of God:

1. The Creation of the Earth
The wisdom of God created the earth. Proverbs 3:19 confirms this: The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Psalm 104:24 also corroborates it: Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all…. So, wisdom has creative capacity.

2. The Personality of the Master
The wisdom of God is the personality of the Master, Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:24). Jesus is both the power of God and the wisdom of God.

3. One of the Products Calvary Offered for us
The wisdom of God is one of the products of Calvary; one of the things Christ died to purchase for us is wisdom (Revelation 5:12). Jesus was crucified on Calvary, not only to save us from sin but to purchase for us wisdom.

4. A Principal Asset of the Child of God
The wisdom of God is a principal asset of the child of God (Proverbs 4:7).

5. The Secret of Stardom

The wisdom of God is the secret of stardom, royalty and blessing in the Kingdom (Proverbs 8:15,16).

Jacob attained stardom at the frequency of Divine wisdom (Genesis 30:37-43). He was a man who was maltreated and dubiously exploited by Laban. His condition of service was changed ten times until he had to connect with the mind of God on what to do to survive the wickedness of Laban. He connected with a revelation by the wisdom of God and that bailed him out (Genesis 30:31-43).

Now, there are two things to note from the life of Jacob regarding wisdom:

1. The wisdom of God caused Jacob to survive and out-smart the cunningness of a friendly adversary (Genesis 31:5-10)
It takes the wisdom of God to beat the world’s system; it takes wisdom to survive and succeed without compromise in our world today.
2. The wisdom of God caused Jacob to flourish under impossible circumstances (Genesis 30:35-43).
That shall be your portion in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: The wisdom of God is the secret of stardom, royalty and blessing in the kingdom.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Engage your mind and trust God to help you become an expert in providing creative and innovative solutions.
2. Behave like a true Kingdom royalty and star; refuse to look pitiable.
3. Irrigate your mind with the Word of God and wisdom-impacting books and materials.
