We have lost one of our own, Oluwatoyin Salau in Tallahassee. Her story as you'll see is the more similar to the disgusting trend of abuse and rape permeating our current culture now.

I saw her name trending so I had to look deep and this could become a lead story. She was found dead last night and she was a Black lives matter protester.

Police release mugshot of Oluwatoyin Salau’s suspected killer 







The Tallahassee Police Department has released the mugshot of Oluwatoyin Salau’s suspected killer after he was arrested on Sunday in connection to the killing of the Black Lives Matter activist.

According to arrest records in Orange County, Florida, 49-year-old Aaron Glee Jr., was arrested in Orlando on June 14 on an out-of-county warrant from Leon County on charges of homicide-felony murder.
 

 
Police said at approximately 9:15 pm Saturday night, TPD investigators arrived in 2100 block of Monday Road to follow up investigation on a missing person case. During the course of the investigation, two deceased people were located in the area.
 

The TPD identified 19-year-old Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Salau and  Victoria Sims, 75, a AARP volunteer as victims of a double-homicide. Both women were reported missing before being found dead in the area.
 


Before Toyin went missing, she tweeted about being sexually assaulted by a black man who offered her a ride when she was stranded after the Black Lives Matter protest. (Read here. )

Toyin, a Nigerian race activist, took part in a Black Lives Matter demonstration in the Tallahassee area on June 6. She was last seen in a CCTV footage on June 10 at about 7:03 pm at Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida.

American rapper, Common has demanded justice for Oluwatoyin Salau, the Nigerian Black Lives Matter activist who was murdered after she tweeted about being sexually assaulted by a black man who offered her a ride after attending a Black Lives Matter protest in Tallahassee.
 
The 19-year-old was found dead on Saturday night alongside an AARP volunteer, Victoria Sims, 75. Both women were reported missing before being found dead around 2100 block of Monday Road in Tallahassee.
 
Reacting to Toyin's death on Twitter, Common demanded justice for the activist, who he says 'spent the last days of her life fighting for justice for her people.'
 
Sharing photos of Toyin via his Twitter page, the rapper wrote: '#JusticeForToyin: She spent the last days of her life fighting for justice for her people. It shouldn't be lost on us that Black Women have been at the forefront of these Movements. We have to stand up against violence happening to our Black Women and Girls. God Bless her soul.'
 

 
Common's post comes after Police confirmed they have arrested 49-year-old Aaron Glee Jr. in connection to the killing of the Black Lives Matter activist.

Killing Of Toyin Salau In US: Abike Dabiri Calls For Thorough Investigation

ALLEGED KILLING OF TOYIN SALAU IN THE US, DABIRI-EREWA CALLS FOR THOROUGH INVESTIGATION

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has described the alleged murder of 19-year- old Nigerian-American Activist, Toyin Salau in the US as highly depressing and cruel.

She therefore urged the US government to conduct a thorough investigation on the circumstances leading to Miss Salau's death.

The NIDCOM boss condoled with the immediate family of Ms Salau who died while advocating against oppression and injustice.

Toyin Salau, a 19-year-old lady of Nigerian origin, was found dead days after she was declared missing in the city of  Tallahassee, Florida, the United States.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, Toyin, who spoke at Black Lives Matters protests in the city, was last seen June 6 near Wahnish Way and Orange Avenue, Tallahassee.

Salau was declared missing hours after she tweeted she was sexually assaulted.

Toyin tweeted that a man molested her that morning around Park Avenue and Richview Road, Tallahassee, Florida.

She said the man offered to give her a ride back to a church where she had sought “refuge” because of “unjust living conditions.”

“He came disguised as a man of God and ended up picking me up from nearby Saxon Street,” she tweeted. “I trusted the holy spirit to keep me safe.”

According to reports, the Tallahassee Community Action Agency conducted a search party on Wednesday night, starting at Bethel AME Church.

The demonstrators searched for hours. They carried flashlights and asked for medics to join them in case she was hurt.

Salau on June 15, after a week of her abduction, was found dead.

Before her confirmed death, she was very passionate about government policies, fighting racism and other issues affecting the society.

Florida man arrested for the death of Black Lives Matter activist, Toyin Salau, confesses and reveals how he killed her







The Florida man accused of killing Black Lives Matter activist Oluwatoyin Salau has reportedly admitted to killing her and another woman.
 
He made this admission to his mother during a phone call. He also revealed how he killed Toyin.
 
49-year-old Aaron Glee Jr. was arrested after the bodies of Toyin and another woman, identified as 75-year-old Victoria Sims, were found in a home he rented in Tallahassee.
 
Aaron tried to flee after the murders, but police were able to capture him on a bus in Orlando by Sunday, June 14th.
 
Aaron’s mother, Sandra Cutliff, revealed to the Daily Mail her son called her Sunday and confessed to the killings. She told the publication that her son said he met Toyin on a bus and invited her to his house so she could shower. He told his mother Toyin asked him for drugs after her shower and when he refused, she allegedly bit him and called him a “n*gger” and this sent him into a rage.
 
Sandra  Cutliff said: "He told me that after she got out of the shower she wanted ‘molly'. He told her he wasn’t going to buy it. He said she called him a f—ass n—-r and bit him. That’s what triggered him off.”
 
It's reported Aaron strangled Toyin to death.
 
He also admitted to his mother that he killed Victoria Sims last week after she called him a "slob." He became enraged and killed her.
 
Aaron and Victoria have known each other for years. 75-year-old Victoria is a long-time volunteer for AARP Florida and member of Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church. She was friends with Aaron and helped him look after himself and get government services, Cutliff told Daily Mail. She said Aaron referred to Sims as "Miss Vicky" and his "white grandmother" and would sometimes cook for her. 
 
Cutliff said her son confessed to her that sometime after the first alleged murder, Sims came to his house to check on him. That was when she called him a slob and he killed her.
 
Salau was last seen on June 6, and Sims on June 11.
 

 
Days before Salau was found dead, she tweeted about being sexually assaulted by a man who posed as a church member. 
 
Police have not said whether or not Aaron is the same man Salau accused of molesting her before she disappeared. Cutliff said her son did not sexually assault Salau and does not have a vehicle. It has also emerged that Aaron was arrested two weeks ago on May 30 for aggravated battery causing bodily harm and released on a $2,500 bond two days later.
 
His mother told Daily Mail that the arrest occurred after Aaron attacked a woman at a bus stop when she called him the n-word.
 
Cutliff, 67, said her son suffered from mental health problems and had been on a downward spiral into a psychotic break over the past few weeks. 
 
Prison records show Aaron has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1989, including convictions for robbery, grand theft auto, credit card fraud, throwing a "deadly missile" at a building and forging bills.
