Hushpuppi was on Wednesday June 10 arrested in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) alongside his colleagues by International Police (INTERPOL) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for alleged fraud.

Quote:“We are not all about arresting, prosecuting and chasing of internet fraudsters, and taking away the proceeds of their crime, but we are also trying to see wether we can rehabilitate them. Because most of this boys are either undergraduate or graduate from higher institutions, so they can be better people to our country.

The menace of Yahoo boys is also a course of concern, we are collaborating with other law enforcement agencies.
Yahoo boys have an association with their mothers who do not feel what their children are doing is a crime actually. It is called the “Yahoo Yahoo Mothers Association, a suitation where the mother would go abroad and the child would stay there and help them syphon funds from credit card fraud.

INTERPOL confirms Hushpuppi's arrest, plans to extradite him and two others to Nigeria

The International Police (INTERPOL) Nigeria has confirmed the arrest of Instagram celebrity Raymond Igbalode a.k.a. Hushpuppi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Commissioner of Police (CP) INTERPOL in Nigeria, Garba Umar, confirmed his arrest to The Nation, He said plans are on the way to extradite him to Nigeria.

Quote:“It is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by the INTERPOL. We are currently working on bringing him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud. Some of the offences were committed here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them. He is not alone in it; there are accomplices in the country who we are currently on their trail” he said

Hushpuppi and two of his associates, Mr Woodberry and Efe, were arrested three days ago, June 10, for allegedly hacking into the United States (US) unemployed database and impersonating citizens qualified for unemployment funds. According to The Nation, Huspuppi and his accomplices in Nigeria, Dubai and other countries allegedly defrauded the US government of over $100 million meant for Native Americans in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

They were arrested after weeks of investigation by the US Secret Service, following the alarm raised in May about a crime ring of suspected Nigerians who broke into the personal information of citizens and used false unemployment claims to cart away hundreds of millions of dollars reserved to help jobless American people.

They were alleged to have filed in so many names of Americans who were still working to various state unemployment offices and collected money from the system. They were alleged to have used information stolen from first responders, government personnel, and school employees.

Hushpuppi: You dine with fraudsters but abuse pastors – Nigerians attack Daddy Freeze

 June 26, 2020

[Image: 40B2DBA1-D9E5-495E-9F55-18F92241649B.jpeg]

Controversial Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has come under attack following the arrest of Hushpuppi.
A video on Thursday went viral on social media showing Daddy Freeze sometime in 2019 dining with Hushpuppi and his gang who are currently being charged for allegedly defrauding over 1.9 million victims to the tune of $435.6 million.

In the video, Daddy Freeze could be heard laughing and mocking legit income earners after Hushpuppi said his driver collects N700,000 monthly salary.

“Hushpuppi’s driver collects 700,000 in a month, yet people abusing him on social media are working as houseboys with a pay of N35,000,” Freeze said.
His comment has since stirred reactions from Nigerians especially since the vocal OAP known for criticizing pastors for their wealthy lifestyle has maintained silence over Hushpuppi’s arrest.

Here are some reactions gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter:

@OgbeniDipo “If it is to abuse RCCG and Winners Chapel, Daddy Freeze would have been everywhere today dancing and singing like Dino Melaye. Today, he is silent. Not even a simple condemnation of fraud.”
@Olufemiolubodun “I do not know what is more hypocritical than drag pastors for collecting offerings and then dine with internet fraudster.”

@TheIfedolapo “Daddy Freeze who is a lion when it comes to attacking pastors became camera-hypeman for Hushpuppi. Two type of frauds; different loyalties.”
@IamRouvafe “Let it be on record that Daddy Freeze who goes about criticizing everyone gave Hushpuppi a platform to showcase his ill-gotten wealth and even talked down on hardworking men & women. It is also on record that Daddy Freeze ate from the proceeds of Hushpuppi’s crime; literally.”

@DrOlufunmilayo “Daddy Freeze will drag pastors for fraud. Same person is in this video laughing with Hushpuppi. We must drag fraudsters, whether pastors, politicians or yahoo boys.”

“Since all of you are scared, I will help you say it.
”Daddy Freeze is a complete disgrace.”

@Waffiran “Daddy Freeze was eating and drinking with Hushpuppi, he would still use that same mouth to drag some pastors. Blood Hypocrite.”

@NeduNaija “Daddy Freeze calls himself “Founder of the Free Nation in Christ. He’s far worse than the pastors he tears into pieces everyday.”

@OwuhKingsley “Where are you now Daddy Freeze? Laughing and insulting hard-working people not begging HUSHPUPPI for job. Where is the driver and cleaner now?

“This is how cheap and low you have become because of worldly wealth. FBI will soon come for you, because you ate from 1.9 victims sweat.”

Dencia took to Instagram to gloat after Hushpuppi was arrested by Dubai police.

At the start of June, when the Black Lives Matter protest was at its peak, Hushpuppi condemned skin bleaching, writing: "Don't post black lives matter if you're bleaching."

Apparently, Dencia, who sells skin lightening products, was offended by the post. Following Hushpuppi's arrest, she decided to get back at him.

She reshared Hushpuppi's post condemning skin bleaching and added: "At least bleaching is legal, we buy and sell legal bleaching without fear of arrest. He was arrested a day after this post. How can you be so loud, old, acting childish and doing illegal sh*t but always talking sh*t, demeaning and insulting hardworking folks on top of their money you are stealing?

"If you gonna be a criminal, be a smooth one. You can't be smart and be dumb at the same time. N*ggahs ain't street smart, they are social media smart".

The report read in part, “Mr Abbas started out as a secondhand-clothes trader in Lagos before claiming to be a billionaire property developer in Dubai.”

There were also reports by some of his old friends that his father was a taxi driver in Nigeria. The PUNCH could, however, not independently verify this.

Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai last month for allegedly diverting over half a billion dollars from private accounts through a series of fraudulent activities.

He alongside others were subsequently extradited from the United Arab Emirates to the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation to face charges.

The alleged fraudster, who boasts of over 2.4 million followers on social media, was known to always put his ostentatious lifestyle on display.

Huhspuppi boasts of many luxury cars including two Rolls Royce, a Maybach, a Bentley, a Ferarri, Mercedes G Wagon, and many more.

He used strictly private jets for international travel where he videos himself consuming expensive champagne and food.

The suspect usually puts inspirational captions beneath his posts in a bid to “encourage hard work among youths.”

Little is known of his personal life but he admitted to fathering a child in 2013 who he said he would like to set up an account for “in case anything happened to me tomorrow.”

Exposition On Hushpuppi, Flashy Lifestyle Of A Society Of Nobody Holy Pass

EXPOSITION ON HUSHPUPPI, FLASHY LIFESTYLE OF A SOCIETY OF NOBODY HOLY PASS.

Just like all social vices, fraud is addictive and the more you get into it, the more you are captivated to get more until you are caught then you realize how messed up you have ended.

Nobody holy pass because you never can tell how your actions have pushed someone into crime.
When I broke the news of hushpuppi’s arrest to my goons that have every genuine reason in the world to continue in the lavish lifestyle of fraud, to my greatest surprise, none of these folks supported their own or felt any remorse for their nefarious activities, they rather began to cast aspersions on their senior colleague (a one time mentor) who their gist about his achievements forced me to follow him on IG since 2017 in search for contents for my blog. By the way, he was always in the news and once wrote an epic letter to the youths (some parts are referenced before this post).

“Kamani, Hushpuppi too do... I go done stop yahoo if I get even one quarter of wetin Hushpuppi don make from yahoo.” one of them replied.

When I asked how much you don chop so far from street, dude suddenly went mute. Why? Because he was unable to account for the several thousands of dollars he had received, both shared with others and personal. It’s the same scenario of unaccounted accumulation that played out with Hushpuppi because the lavish lifestyle made him to lose count of the several millions he has received and shared. I am pretty sure he’d be shocked when the charges of his exploits are read to him.

THE SYSTEM

There’s never a one man squad in fraud or if there ever is, it will be the petty one called 419 and sooner than later, there must be a recruitment to advance the scam. Often times, there’s a subtle competition among scammers on who don blow pass and puppi’s greatest rival seems to be Mompha.
Hushpuppi today happens to be the bad egg and even the hens that lay and nurture them are also clucking in condemnation but I still maintain that nobody holy pass.

No matter how you try to feign holiness, fraud has so eaten deep into our system that the many business tycoons and politicians that we look up to in town may not necessarily press computers at odd hours to bomb or hack but are the greatest beneficiaries at the forefront to receive greater proceeds in percentage by providing accounts for receiving this stolen funds mostly through money laundering and influence. A few CSOs and NGOs are not left out.

Hushpuppi is not the evil, he is a reflection of the society we live in and because Interpol/FBI understand that for every dancing bird on a footpath, there’s definitely a drummer in the bush, they are doing everything naturally possible to blacklist even the few legit ones among us because they can’t fathom how long it will take us to compromise standard and adopt fraudulent practices. The principles you preach on social media have a watering price tag that even if you wish to decline the offer, someone will pass behind your back to do it on your behalf through impersonation to soil your reputation.
Kindly channel your energy to the system and not the product.

My humble opinion.
