According to his manager, Umenka Uzoma Day revealed that he was seriously ill and is presently at a medical facility in London. "Majek Fashek is very sick as we are currently at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolich in England.

The sad news was announced recently by popular music producer Samklef on his page on IG. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Nigerians on woke up on Tuesday morning to the sad news of the death of reggae music icon Majekodunmi Fashaeke popularly known by many as Majek Fashek.

Fashek, known for his hit song 'send down the rain' in the 90s reportedly died in New York on Monday. Nigerians have taken to social media to mourn his death.
