Earnings for RS3 comes from subscriptions
#1
I don't like how the 100% 10 key opportunity tricks people into believing they overlooked RS gold another black stone rarity thing, such as the 100mil or shadow gem items. Why are 10 treasure hunter keys a black gem thing if the opportunity to get them is 100% on your initial key for the marketing? I really don't like the way that it's given to you as 100% with the beginning of this promotion yet it's not indicated at all in the'perspective probabilities' screen. As if anyone really needed proof that you shouldn't be trusting whatever probabilities they tell youpersonally, but hey. Bears repeating. Some people really are not aware of that.

I think that the complaint is more about the manipulative character of this rather then the truth it's"free keys". It is a frequent tactic referred to as"the first ones free" in which you give someone a free hit on something you know could be considered addictive in order to get the ball rolling in hopes they'll spend more. While the keys that are free are known by lots of us are a 100% drop because of events that are previous. You will find people STILL who don't and presume they have super lucky. And individuals who have gambling addictions will 100 percent chase that winners high despite the fact that they basically won nothing.

Especally when this promo has ever worked like this, such a complaint tbh. They provide frankly, and 10thk first roll thats the prize to you. Why do I want gp or darts when I keep going and could win a 10 more keys? Employ the"keep moving" logic to somebody hooked on TH and spending IRL cash on it. Doesn't look like an ethical point. There is a reason why more than 90% of MTX revenue comes from less than 10 percent of the participant base.If you take away the junkies, then the price goes up significantly or the match shuts down. You are able to spew that"ethical" shit whatever you need, but with no you do not have a game to playwith.

If MTX is indeed important and sub prices are useless then I don't see what is stopping Jagex from getting rid of sub fees for RS3 on rsgoldfast and let the whales pay for running the game like almost all MMOs these days. Mandatory subscriptions have been a thing of the past, GW2 and ESO ditched concealing game content behind a monthly paywall to get MTX.Half the earnings for RS3 comes from subscriptions. Sub fees are not unworthy, but MTX can be clearly helping the match. It would be ridiculous for Jagex to make the choice to cut RS3's revenue in half (this goes for removing MTX or subscriptions).
