RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 

MONDAY 3RD FEBRUARY.

RIGHTEOUSNESS—A GIFT OF GRACE.


For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

When you received Christ into your heart, eternal life was imparted into your spirit, and with it came righteousness. Righteousness is the nature of God that produces in you the rightness of God, and gives you right-standing with God. It’s God’s gift to you in Christ; a gift of grace delivered to you by Christ Jesus. John 1:17 says, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
Romans 5:17 says, “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” In other words, those who take a hold of that righteousness shall reign; that is, exercise dominion in life. 

So, it’s your responsibility to take a hold of your righteousness in Christ by being conscious of it! Being conscious that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus gives you boldness and confidence to pray and expect answers. It gives you mastery over the devil, his accusations, and the circumstances of life.

This is so beautiful, because it has nothing to do with your works or “performance” before God. Your righteousness is simply the result of Christ’s vicarious suffering and triumphant resurrection.

 Therefore, it makes no difference how wicked or wayward you think you’ve been; it makes no difference how far you think you’ve gone away from God; all you need is to embrace His righteousness.
Accept the gift that He’s made available to you, and say, “Blessed Jesus, you’re my righteousness. 

I believe you died for me and that God raised you from the dead for my justification.” Hallelujah! Remember, you didn’t ask Him before He gave you His righteousness. And His righteousness can’t be improved upon, being the righteousness of the man, Christ Jesus, the only sinless one to walk the face of the earth. Thus, we’re not going to be more righteous in heaven than we already are in Him.


So, in God’s presence, we’re at liberty; no fear, no condemnation, no inferiority! We’re free to express ourselves and to be ourselves as we worship and fellowship with Him, because we have right standing with Him. All these and more are the result of His superabundant grace; the gift of His perfect righteousness. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Blessed Father, I thank you for giving me your righteousness as a gift, thus inspiring in me the consciousness of dominion—to reign and rule as a king in life. I’m held in the grip of your grace, enjoying my regal liberty through the gift of my perfect righteousness in Christ Jesus. Amen.


FURTHER STUDY: Romans 5:20-21 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for receiving my worship, praise, and thanksgiving, sanctifying them by Your Spirit. You’re magnified in my life, and Your glory has increased in my life. 

Thank You for an outstanding month of January, and for Your grace that is piloting me into the great future, You have for me. 

Thank You for granting me absolute and exact knowledge of Your Word, far removed from assumptions, doubts, and uncertainties. I function by the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge in all my endeavours, and the results are evident in me. 

I am a master over circumstances, for I know that the greater One lives in me. His life and nature are at work in me, in every fibre of my being, in every cell of my blood and in every bone of my body. 

I am thus an overcomer, victorious and triumphant over sickness, disease, and circumstances. I am superior to the devil and the negative system of this world. Hallelujah! 

I walk in absolute victory and dominion, knowing that the Father had already perfected all that concerns me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

MEMORISE:

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Philippians 4:5

READ: Deuteronomy 4: 23-24

23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

MESSAGE 

This generation is generally called the digital age because with a handheld device, you can connect with anyone in the world. This is actually very good but the concern is in such device taking total control of you. These days, many are so preoccupied with their phones that they do not have time for God and what matters to Him. For some, the first thing they pick when they wake in the morning is the phone and not the Bible. Others can spend one hour on social media yet cannot spend same studying God’s word or praying. This shows that such hearts are more drawn to the phone than God. Don’t give the devil the liberty to rob you of God’s blessing.

Are you not already giving a phone the place of God? Have you observed that the position many take when using a phone is such that their heads are bowed? (Exodus 34:14). Exodus 20:2-3 says:

“I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

If you have to delete applications on your phone that you are addicted to, do so. If it will take you to place a Bible over your phone at night so when you reach out for the latter in the morning, it is the former you would pick instead, do so. Put measures in place to ensure you prioritize activities that will make you grow spiritually.

Many Christians now prefer electronic Bibles. However, with the Bible applications on the phones and tablets, there would be distractions from other applications on the device and the Spirit in the word of God cannot minister to a distracted mind. If you must use the electronic Bible, it would be best to go offline to cut off distractions from calls and messages. I play the audio Bible before I go to bed so that all night, God’s word is being read aloud in my room while I am sleeping. You can do so too.

REFLECTION:

Which one takes more of your time daily, you Bible or social media? If it is the later, repent and commit to amending your ways.

TOPIC: THEY PUSHED HIM TO THE BAR! – 1
BASIC SCRIPTURE: (John 13:20-38)

Imagine this: A visitor walks into a church and sits down in a pew, only to be told by another member: “Oh, that’s my seat.” What do you think will happen? That new “member” may NEVER return again. Also consider this scenario: A phone rings during church service by accident during prayers.
The Pastor scolded the phone owner.

 The worshipers admonished him after prayers for interrupting. His wife kept on nagging him on his carelessness all the way home. His co-vineyard workers shook their heads in disgust.

You could see the shame, embarrassment and humiliation on his face. He never stepped foot in the church again. That evening, he went to a bar. He was still nervous and trembling.

He spilled his drink on the table, the bottle fell by accident and it splashed on some people. Those it touched rushed towards him. He closed his eyes expecting the bashing of words or slaps. Instead they cared to know if he didn’t get a cut from the broken bottle. The waiter apologized and gave him a napkin to clean himself.

The janitor cleaned the floor. The female manager offered him a complimentary drink. She also gave him a huge hug and a peck while saying, “Don’t worry man. Who doesn’t make mistakes?” He has not stopped going to that bar since then. HOW CAN THERE BE MORE LOVE IN THE WORLD THAN IN THE CHURCH? Amazing! The Holy Ghost lesson is that in this year 2020, let your lifestyle and attitude draw men to Christ!

Do you know that many believers’ lifestyle PUSH PEOPLE AWAY from Christ and finally to HELL? Make a difference by how you treat people especially when they don’t fit into your doctrines. Stop acting like a bureaucrat and insisting that people obey the law by the letter!

By doing this, the church, which is a mother, turns into a mother-in-law for many people. Please always make people feel that the Church is a mother, not a mother-in-law! (By the way, not all mother-in-laws are partial in their love). Stop any HOLIER-THAN-THOU attitude! It has scared many from THE MASTER!

Listen to John 13:35: “By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.” BY THIS SHALL ALL MEN KNOW! It is BY LOVE not by laws! Use this year to show love without LIMITS and let nothing you do drive men from the Savior of their souls!

Stay with God! Walk with God! Move at His pace! Even when the storms seem to rage, don’t panic! Get a word from God before any action! Never move until He moves! Never rest until He rests! Let your hands be in His hands! You will excel!
PRAYER POINTS: Take Song 2: My Faith Looks Up…

1. In your own words, pray about today’s word as led now.
2. They pushed him to the bar! REPENT from any lifestyle that acts as a MINUS to the kingdom of God. Decree that your life and ministry will not become TOLLGATES to the kingdom.
3. Lord, USE ME! Make me a bridge to CONNECT MEN to You in all i do this year in Jesus name.
4. I refuse to be a WALL that separates men or women from the kingdom.
5. LORD, shake away anything that BLOCKS my light from shining Your LOVE to the world. LORD, take away anything that brings SHAME to You THROUGH my life and ministry. Pray about today!

TOPIC: DOMINION IN DISCOVERY

SCRIPTURE: And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:17-18

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The level of dominion you have exercised so far is a function of your discoveries.

Many years ago, Paul Yonggi Cho was trying to cast out a demon from someone. He said he did everything he could but the devil remained. All of a sudden, he got a flash of light in his spirit and he told the demon: “demon, you have to go out now! 

Two thousand years ago, my elder brother, Jesus Christ defeated you on my behalf and I stand in His shoes to ask you to get out.” The devil replied with something like, “Hold on, hold on! I will go but please do not tell anyone this secret because many people are not aware of it.” Then the demon left.

Beloved, it is the knowledge of whose you are and who you are that gives you dominion in life. Search the Scripture and let God reveal you to you.

When Jesus said to His disciples, who do men say I am? Peter said, you are the Christ the son of the Living God (Matthew 16:15-16). By that discovery, Jesus said to Peter, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. That is, step into dominion by what you have just discovered.

Beloved, there is something you can see out of Scripture that will make you shift in power, authority, audacity, and boldness. The level of dominion you have exercised so far is a function of the discoveries you have made. Light is reflective. When you carry light, you do not beg darkness; darkness naturally excuses itself as light arrives. So, if you are lacking in power or dominion, then you must step up in discoveries, discoveries from Scripture.

REMEMBER THIS: The level of dominion you have exercised so far is a function of your discoveries.
ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Locate Scriptures that will position you as an authority in the realms you desire, and meditate on them.
2. Surrender your will completely to God so that your dominion and audacity can be established.
FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: KEYS TO DESTINY FULFILMENT.
