TUESDAY, 24TH DECEMBER.

DISCOVER CHRIST IN YOU


To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

There’re too many of God’s children who are still looking up to God for one blessing or the other. They’re looking up to God to heal them, to touch them, to provide for them, to answer their prayers. But the truth is, there’s no other blessing that’ll come to you from heaven until the second coming of the Lord Himself.

There’s no prayer that the answer will come to you from heaven. Everything you’d ever need in life is in Christ, and Christ is in you, and to have Christ is to have everything. Colossians 1:27 says, “...Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Have you been desiring or expecting to see the glory of God revealed in your finances, your health, business, or family? The glory has already been revealed. That’s the meaning and reason for Christmas; that’s why we’re so full of joy that Christ was born into this world, to live in our hearts.


Christ in you is your assurance of divine health, prosperity, success, victory and dominion. Hallelujah! What you need is to discover Christ in you. If Christ isn’t in a man, then his sufferings are justified; his pains are “excusable.” But not so with you; you’ve been brought into the “glory life.”

This Christ-consciousness will inspire an extraordinary boldness in your life. It’ll cause you to live every day, exuding joy indescribable, and full of glory. When you discover Christ in you, there’ll be no place for any disease in your body; that’ll be the end of darkness and lack. Glory to God!

The revelation of Christianity is Christ IN YOU; not in heaven. Don’t start fasting and asking Him to pour something out from heaven; don’t ask Him to give you a blessing from heaven. He’s blessed you already with Himself; with all the blessings that are in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Consciously take some time today to meditate on Christ: who He is, who you are in Him, and all that He’s accomplished for you. It’ll transform your life. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

What a privilege it is to be a member of His body, of His flesh and of His bones! Christ in me, the hope of glory! I’ve been granted the grace and ability in Christ to reign and rule over all circumstances! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Christ in me is my assurance of a life of continuous victory and unending success. Blessed be God!

MESSAGE


When our Lord Jesus Christ was leaving the earth, He promised that He would send us a comforter who would teach us all things (John 14:26). That Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, came on a certain day of Pentecost, and He has been with the Body of Christ ever since then (Acts 2). The Lord sent Him to serve as His representative in our lives, and His ministry in us is so invaluable. His presence in man’s life is transformative and empowering, so much so that those who don’t have Him or who are not full of His presence do not know what they are missing. He is such a precious partner in accomplishing the will of God for our lives in this world.

When a person becomes born again, the fellow suddenly begins to feel an unusual peace within. That is the effect of the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is that person also begins to sound an alarm whenever he or she is about to commit a sin. Such a fellow has a choice to either ignore this warning or take heed. If you are a child of God, I am sure you experience this whenever you are about to commit a sin. My advice is that you yield to His warning, because the Holy Spirit can be displaced from a person’s heart. If you often ignore His voice, you will soon realize that you cannot hear Him anymore. If you continue living in sin, He will leave and other spirits will take His place (Matthew 12:43-45). May you never experience this in Jesus’ Name.

Not only does the Holy Spirit help us to live a holy life, He also teaches and helps us to pray (Romans 8:26). Prayer is a way of communicating with our heavenly Father. If you don’t communicate often with your Father, your relationship with Him will become strained, and you will soon find yourself doing things that are contrary to His will. Hence, it is important to pray regularly. However, many Christians would rather talk about prayer than pray. The Holy Spirit always nudge us to pray. Whenever you feel this nudge, please go to a separate place and pray. Sometimes, it’s not that you don’t want to pray, you just don’t know what to say when you start. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you in such moments. Lastly, what distinguishes our lives as Christians is the fruit of our character. The Holy Spirit influences our character through the manifestation of His fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23). He helps us to live a life filled with love, joy faith, patience, peace, gentleness, meekness and temperance. Consciously cultivate a relationship with Him and He will manifest more of His precious works in your life.

ACTION POINT:

In this festive season, let the Holy Spirit guide your steps speech, actions and motives.

TOPIC: FREEDOM – KEY TO MOTION

Your acceleration is connected to your liberation; destruction is the destiny of the transgressor.
SCRIPTURE: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your acceleration is connected to your liberation; destruction is the destiny of the transgressor.

Freedom is the state of being unrestricted and able to move freely. It is also the state of liberation from confinement, captivity or bondage.

Know this: Freedom is key to motion; your acceleration is connected to your liberation; liberty determines audacity; liberty fuels authority; freedom is key to stardom; on the other hand, to exist in captivity is to be buried in timidity; captivity is the enemy of opportunity.

So, you must refuse to be confined to a spot. Resist aggressively whatever wants to deny you freedom because the loss of freedom is the reason for motionlessness in life.

Now, what must you do to experience freedom?
1. Avoid iniquity or Sin (Psalm 24:3-4) - Iniquity is the enemy of liberty; destruction is the destiny of the transgressor. Sin is a weight and weight is the enemy of speed.
2. Access revelation from the Scripture (John 8:32) - Truth sponsors freedom. To know the truth (the Word) is to be set free.
3. Connect with the prophetic mantle (Hosea 12:13) - Prophets are instruments for the termination of captivity. With your prophet lies your profit of freedom from captivity.
Today, by the prophetic mantle on my life, I decree your total freedom from every form of captivity that has hitherto limited your motion in life, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: Your acceleration is connected to your liberation but destruction is the destiny of the transgressor.

1. Do all it takes to ensure that nothing tampers with your freedom.
2. Take action steps as spelt out in the keys to freedom to establish your liberty in God and in life.

TOPIC: WINGS OF THE FUTURE: YOUR FAITH!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: (JAMES 1:2-11)

Indecision is one of the biggest prayer thieves! That’s why today’s scripture, Verse 6 says that if any man prays and asks God for anything, he should “ask in faith, NOTHING WAVERING. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”

Then see Verse 8, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” In these last days of 2019, if the devil can introduce a second thought into your mind about your desire or about your 2019 prayers, then he can stop you from receiving your answers!

Notice that Verse 7 says, “let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.” In other words, a mind that is not focused on, “IT IS DONE; IT IS SETTLED! DELAY IS NOT A DENIAL,” cannot receive anything from the LORD! Think about the many answers to prayers that God has given you in times past, but you just have not seen them probably because of DOUBLE MINDEDNESS!

Refuse to doubt! to get angry with God! Refuse depression! Refuse to compare yourself to others! Refuse to quit trusting this God! Refuse to WAVER and stop thinking about working things out in your own ways remember that HURRY LEADS TO SORRY! Oh, it was M. Barrie who noted. The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.”

Have faith and turn them into your wings of faith to fly to the future you desire! When you pray, be resolute that: Since You Prayed According To His Will, He Heard You And He Granted Your Request! Sometimes, you may not see any physical sign of that answer, but you must HOLD ON and keep declaring that IT IS DONE!

Close with Tom Bodett: “They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.” Yes! Keep HOPE ALIVE because you will never, NEVER end up in shame! Amen and amen and amen!

TOPIC: THE TRUTH THAT FREES US
Read John 8:30-32

EXPOSITION

Merry Christmas, in advance. As we remember the sacrificial birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, what a time to remind ourselves of the fact that true freedom comes from Him!

The Jews of Jesus' days, from an early age, grew up studying and learning the Law. Yet, in ways very similar to us today, they still battled with fears, anxieties, sicknesses, and all kinds of oppression, bondages and addictions. The 'truth' that Jesus was talking about couldn't have been the Law, which the people couldn't find freedom in. The truth that makes free is the truth of God's grace - the truth that He came to give us. His Word proclaims, '...grace and truth came through Jesus Christ' (Jn. 1:17).

The good news is that, grace came to set you free from the curse of the law. Grace is not a doctrine, or a theological subject. When Jesus talks about grace, He is talking about Himself. Grace is a person. Grace is Jesus Himself. The truth that has the power to fling wide open your prison's doors is His grace. His grace is the antidote to counteract every poison in your mind! When you encounter Jesus, taste His love and savour His lovingkindness and tender mercies, every wrong belief dissolves in the glory of His love. And every dark thought and evil addiction that may have held you captive cannot but scatter, when it is exposed to the light of His grace!

Your freedom is found in rightly believing in Jesus - His favour and His love in your life. When you believe right about His grace, you will begin to live right. The more you see in His Word what His grace has done for you, the more fears, condemnation, depression and destructive habits will lose their grip on you. The more you believe and enjoy His grace and love, the more you will find the Lord's wisdom, stability and peace guiding your decisions and actions. Right believing always produces right living and right results.

PRAYER POINTS

1. I receive rest in Your love and grace for me, today and always, O Lord, in Jesus' name.
2. Let the truth of Your Word, O Lord, pervade every sector of my life.
3. Lord, deal with and restore those trying to water down the truth of Your Word in order to gain more membership and make more money in churches.
