Carlo Ancelotti Gets Red Card, Sent Off By Referee In Match(Photos)


Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti was shown a red card and sent to the stands as Atalanta twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at the San Paolo Stadium, MySportDab reports.

Napoli took an early lead through Nikola Maksimovic, only for Remo Freuler to level with a clever shot through the legs of goalkeeper Alex Meret.

The home side regained the lead through an Arkadiusz Milik strike at the start of the second half and looked to be heading for all three points before Josip Ilicic's 86th-minute equaliser.

The Napoli players and coaches were incensed by the referee's decision not to award their side a penalty just after the equaliser, and manager Ancelotti was shown a red card.

Heavyweight boxer, Tyson Fury, on Thursday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marked his professional wrestling debut with victory over heavyweight WWE wrestler, Braun Strowman, backing up weeks of bragging and mouth-making by the British fighter.
 
                        
 
Fury, who is still nursing an eye injury sustained during his last fight with Otto Wallin, defeated Strowman with a right hand and won by count-out, after entering the stadium dressed in native Arabian thobe and keffiyeh headdress.
                      
 
Early in October, Tyson Fury agreed to engage in a financially mouth-watering fight with Strowman after the wrestler nicknamed 'monster among men' provoked Fury while he was sitting in the crowd with his family watching a WWE match Strowman was involved in. Fury promised to deal with Strowman when they meet in the ring and on Thursday night delivered on his words by connecting with Strowman, who could not make it back into the ring in time before the referee's 10-count ended. 
 
                    
 
With Fury's healing eye uninjured during the WWE bout, he is now set to face Deontay Wilder in February 2020 for the WBC heavyweight title as long as Wilder doesn't lose to Luis Ortiz later in November.

Etebo awaits new boss as struggling Stoke sacks Manager

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo and his teammates are to await a new boss following the sacking of Stoke Manager Nathan Jones after barely 10 months in the saddle.

The former Luton boss won only six of his 38 games in charge, having succeeded Gary Rowett in January.

He leaves with the club second from bottom in the English Championship.
Assistant manager Paul Hart and first-team coach Joaquin Gomez have also reportedly left the club.

Etebo, who joined the Championship side in June 2018 from Portuguese side Feirense for €7.2million, has made over 45 appearances for the side with two goals to his credit.

Etebo, who has been left out in Gernot Rohr 23-man squad for the 2021 Nations cup qualifier against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively, was in action for about 21 minutes in Stoke’s lone goal defeat by Sheffield Wednesday, was however not in action in the last match against Millwall that ended in another 2-0 defeat.

The former Warri Wolves ace will however be hoping to be part of the team when Stoke host West Brom on Monday with team coach Nathan Jones and his assistants all missing from the technical bench.
Stoke have only garnered eight points in 14 matches and remain in the relegation zone with Middlesbrough and Barnsley.

GOLDEN Eaglets ‘ Head Coach Manu  Garba  has vowed  to press his wards to  go all out for  victory  when they come up against Australia in their last Group B match slated for Estadio Bezerrao in Brasilia.

The Nigerian contingent arrived  Brasilia on Wednesday  ahead of today’s game against the Aussies who are looking for their first win  of the series after they lost previously to Ecuador (1-2) and drew with Hungary (1-1).

But  Garba has hinted that the Golden Eaglets  already through to the Round of 16, would show Australia no  favour in order to claim their third successive wins after their spirited 4-2 win against Hungary as well as the 3-2 win against Ecuador on Tuesday.

“The game against Australia is like any other World Cup match; and we want to win and keep on the winning mentality and also be sure to top our group so we can play at Goiania,” Garba who will be 55 on December 31 told NationSport.

The Golden Eaglets have bowled over  Nigerians with their energetic  play  and have remarkably scored seven goals in two matches sans none from  the talismanic Olakunle Olusegun  who was the  leading  scorer before the team berthed in Brazil for the Mundial.

But Garba is hopeful  that the 17-year- old Olusegun would overcome his scoring difficulties:“ For Kunle, we have been working on goal scoring exercises and psychological test for him. He needs  to be calm, concentrate and composed and most importantly, focused on the team work.”

Meanwhile, Garba  who previously supervised two of Nigeria’s  U-17 World Cup title in 2007 and 2013  has yet pleaded with mischief-maker to stay clear of his team as  the Golden Eaglets bid for a record six title in Brazil.

“ I think every good Nigerian that has the country at heart should pray for the success of the National U17 team and not try to cause distractions,” he said.“ Here we are well focused on using our strength and all we can to defend the image of our great country, Nigeria.”

GERMAN coach Gernot Rohr is pained that national team players on international duty for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)  Match Day 2 tie against Lesotho in Maseru risk getting injured since the match will be on an artificial pitch.

The Eagles face the Crocodiles of Lesotho on November 17th three days after hosting Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo and Rohr is reportedly miffed with CAF based on the arrangement.

“I have spoken to @CAF_Online about these issues. But I am not getting any positive reply from them. It is not right. After the Benin game in Uyo, we travel to Lesotho and must be ready that Sunday. And we are playing on an artificial surface. This really does not help us,” Rohr was quoted as saying by London -based journalist Osasu Obayiuwana on his Twitter handle.

“I know there are many people that prefer that I don’t talk about this situation and just keep quiet. But the principles of football must be defended. Players like @Ndidi25 and @J_Aribo19 come from winter conditions. Without proper adaptation, they risk getting injured.”

The 66-year-old coach has threatened to take up the matter with the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro) to avoid future occurrence.

“They are being asked to play under impossible conditions by @CAFOnline. This AFCON schedule is putting them at risk of injury. I am taking this matter up with @FIFPro and Philippe Piat, its president.

They must be concerned about players being put in this situation,” Obayiuwana further stated on his Twitter handle.

Jamaican international female footballer, Tarania Clarke, killed in stabbing incident






 



Jamaica women's international, Tarania Clarke has been killed in a stabbing incident in the capital city, Kingston.
 
The 20-year-old footballer who recently represented Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz during the Olympic Caribbean qualifiers was stabbed to death in Kingston on Thursday, October 31, 2019. 
 
Police said the student died after a dispute over a mobile phone at about 8.50pm. The midfielder was pronounced dead in hospital.
 
Officers have arrested a woman over the death of Clarke, who played for Waterhouse FC and scored on her international debut in September's 12-1 win over Cuba in the Olympic qualifiers.
 
Confirming her death, Jamaica Football Federation President Michael Ricketts said: “I am deeply saddened. This was a young lady who has shown much potential and was very pleasant, warm and had real potential to make it at the highest level.” 
 
“She was very much a part of the Reggae Girlz squad during the recent Olympic qualifiers and did make an impact. I offer condolences to the family and friends of young Clarke.”
 
In a statement published by the Jamaica Observer, the federation added: "In the year when our senior Reggae Girlz participated in the Women' s World Cup and the nation celebrated, the country must now mourn the tragic passing of one of its most talented players, Tarania 'Plum Plum' Clarke.
 
"The Jamaica Football Federation is lost for words in expressing its profoundest sadness at the passing of Tarania, who last represented the country in the Caribbean leg of the Olympic qualifiers in October."

Watford vs Chelsea: Lampard, Rudiger disagree over defender’s fitness

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, has rejected suggestions that Antonio Rudiger, could make his comeback from injury against Watford this weekend.
Rudiger seemed to declare himself fit for the Premier League fixture earlier this week, after suffering a freak groin injury in September.

The German defender has returned to training, but Lampard downplayed any notion of any immediate place in the squad.
Lampard told reporters on Friday: “No, he’s not fit. There was a miscommunication. He’s seeing a consultant on Monday over an ongoing pelvic issue.
“We’ll have to wait for the consultant appointment to see how long he’ll be out. Himself and N’Golo carried over injuries from last season and it’s been a domino effect.

“The players will be frustrated. Disappointing for me because I want to select them but it brings opportunities for other players.”

Cameroonian football legend, Samuel Eto'o has declared himself the best African player to ever play football.
 
The 38-year-old began his career with Real Madrid and went on to play for 13 clubs including Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Everton, and Sampdoria. 
 
He won one Champions League with Inter Milan. But while at Barcelona, Eto'o won three La Liga titles and two Champions League trouphies and also helped his country to win Olympic gold at the 2000 Games in Australia, the Africa Cup of Nations in 2000 and 2002.
 
"I don't need to lay claim to anything, it's just a fact. Whether you accept it or not, it's a fact," Eto who retired in September told AFP.

Bournemouth 1-0 Manchester United: Josh King goal sinks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side[/size]





[b]Manchester United suffered their fourth Premier League defeat of the season away at Bournemouth on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon at the Vitaly Stadium.[/b]

The Red Devils came into this fixture off the back of three straight away wins - over Partizan, Norwich City and Chelsea in the Europa League, Premier League and Carabao Cup, respectively - but they were unable to make it four victories on the bounce on the south coast.

A goal on the stroke of half-time from former United youngster Josh King was enough to earn the Cherries all three points.

The result lifts Bournemouth above United, who slip to eighth, in the Premier League table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could find themselves back inside the bottom half of the table by the end of the weekend if other results go against them, as their disappointing start to the season continues.

In atrocious conditions, both teams struggled to get going during the early stages of the match.


Daniel James went close with a powerful effort from outside the box, while Ryan Fraser and Anthony Martial both had appeals for penalties waved away by referee Chris Kavanagh, but clear-cut chances were non-existent until King finally broke the deadlock moments before the half-time whistle.

The Norwegian striker, who was at Man Utd between 2008-2013, did brilliantly to turn in between Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka before slamming the ball past David de Gea.

United needed to up the tempo in the second half in order to salvage something from this match, but breaking down their opponents was proving difficult for Solskjaer’s men.

Pereira tested Ramsdale with a shot from the edge of the box and was substituted shortly afterwards for Jesse Lingard, who still has no goals or assists in 2019.

Manchester United suffered a surprise defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon. 
The Red Devils were beaten 1-0 with Josh King's goal on the stroke of half-time enough to resign United to their fourth of the season. 

After another loss, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now also reached a rather disappointing personal milestone. 

He's now suffered defeat in more Premier League matches than Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
What makes that statistic even more embarrassing is that Solskjaer has taken charge of 104 fewer games. Unbelievable. [/size]

The United manager, who also had a spell at Cardiff City, has now lost 21 Premier League games out of 50. 
Klopp, on the other hand, has just 20 defeats in 154 matches. 
That certainly won't make good reading for United supporters and coming away from Bournemouth with nothing is the latest of this season's disappointments.

Solskjaer's side have just three wins from their opening 11 league fixtures, with four draws and four defeats.

Thierry Henry: How I Benched Nwankwo Kanu At Arsenal


France legend, Thierry Henry has revealed how he managed to keep Nigeria hero, Kanu Nwankwo on the bench during their time at Arsenal.

Kanu and Dennis Bergkamp were initially ahead of Henry in Arsene Wenger’s pecking order of strikers when he joined the North London club from Juventus in the 1999-2000 season.

The former France striker and 1998 World Cup winner admitted that he struggled in his first few months at Arsenal before forcing his way into the starting line-up.

The Frenchman became untouchable world class striker at Arsenal, scoring a remarkable 228 goals over the course of 377 games which made him the club’s record goalscorer in history.

Speaking on Jamie Carragher’s Greatest Game podcast, Henry said, ”The game that changed everything for me was Middlesbrough at home in November, my first season.

Mario Balotelli played the ball into the crowd and almost stormed off the pitch after suffering racist abuse while playing for Brescia against Verona, MySportDab Reports.

Balotelli's Brescia team-mates and opponents rushed over to calm him down whilst the referee urged a statement to be read out on the speakers.

He was eventually persuaded to return by his teammates.

The referee also temporarily suspended the game in accordance with FIFA's protocol.

Balotelli later finished the game, even scoring a consolation goal in the 84th minute to silence the crowd.

Brescia fell to a 2-1 defeat against Verona, who picked up all three points thanks to goals from Eddie Salcedo and Matteo Pessina, but the vulgar racist abuse overshadowed the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo's hairdresser' stabbed to death in Swiss hotel room






A celebrity hairdresser has been stabbed to death in a Swiss hotel room.
 
Ricardo Marques Ferreira who Portugal's tabloid Correio da Manha described as 'Cristiano Ronaldo's hairdresser' was named as the murder victim. 
 
His body was reportedly found by a cleaner at a business hotel in Zurich's Albisrieden neighbourhood around 2pm on Friday, November 1, 2019. Mr. Ricardo was found in bed with multiple stab wounds. 

The celebrity hairdresser nicknamed Caju had been living in Zurich for the past two years and had been staying at the hotel where he was killed for around a week, according to Mail Online. 

Police have since arrested a 39-year-old suspect who is understood to be a Brazilian national. 

Authorities described the scene as 'horrific', with reports the room he was in smelt intensely of alcohol.

Back in September 2015, Ricardo Marques Ferreira from the island of Madeira shared a photo on social media of him putting the final touches to the Cristiano's look during a photoshoot.

Portuguese media reports say he also worked with models and Portuguese actresses as well.

Yaya Toure Sent Off After 10 Seconds Of Final Football Match In China (Photos)


Man City legend Yaya Toure was sent off after just 10 seconds in what could be the last professional game of his career, MySportDab reports.

The 36-year-old was shown a red card after aiming a kick at his opponent, and was dismissed following a VAR review.

The match was said to be the final game of Toure's career as a professional footballer for Chinese Division 1 side Qingdao Huangha, with his side eventually going on to lose 2-1 to Nantong Zhiyun.

The incident occurred after Qingdao started an early attack which ended with a shot on goal.

Toure ended up tussling with his opponent and ended up kicking out at him.

Andre Gomes Injured, Leg Breaks, Players Devastated (Photos)



Everton midfielder Andre Gomes suffered an horrific leg injury during the Toffees' 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Sunday, MySportDab reports.

The Portugal international was tackled by Son Heung-min, who was sent off, before landing awkwardly and falling into Serge Aurier.

The South Korean was shown a straight red and was immediately reduced to tears after seeing the damage his challenge had caused the midfielder.

Tottenham and Everton players were left distressed by the incident as Gomes needed immediate medical attention.

He left the field on a stretcher to the applause of Goodison Park.

Akin Famewo Signs New Deal With Norwich


Norwich City are delighted to announce that centre-back Akin Famewo has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with the Club, extending his stay at Carrow Road until June 2023.

Famewo joined City’s academy in January 2019 from Luton Town and became the captain of David Wright’s Under-23s team for the 2019-20 season.

The defender has also been involved in Daniel Farke’s first-team setup in training and matchday squads this season.

Speaking exclusively to canaries.co.uk, he said: “It’s hard to describe how I’m feeling right now because there’s a lot of excitement and good vibes.

“It’s been a big step up to working with the first-team because the intensity of the Premier League is a lot faster and stronger, but I feel like I’m learning and adapting to it.”

Famewo was first named on the bench for City’s first-team squad in October’s Premier League game at home to Aston Villa, and travelled to the south-coast for the following game against AFC Bournemouth.



“The first time I went into training with the first-team I was very excited,” he said. “It’s where I want to be, and it was just a good feeling. I’m excited to learn and develop.

“It’s not as easy to boss people about now but no-one takes anything personally in games! It’s all about helping each other out and playing as a unit.

“The aim is to play and eventually be involved in the first-team, so I’m taking good steps. I want to represent the club for as long as possible.

“My mum’s side of the family are from Norwich so they’re extremely happy and my dad’s very proud as well!”

Head Coach Daniel Farke said: “I’m delighted for Akin. He’s developed a lot over the last period and his new deal is well deserved.

“Akin has recently stepped up to first team training and has adapted very well. We know he still needs time to develop, but he is very much on the right track. He’s a good person and has a good presence and energy around him.”

Klopp fires back at Guardiola ahead of Premier League clash



Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has hit back at Pep Guardiola, after the Manchester City manager accused Sadio Mane of diving.

City face title rivals Liverpool this weekend and Guardiola has already started the mind-games ahead of the fixture.

Speaking over the weekend, Guardiola said: “It’s happened a lot for Liverpool in the last years [scoring late on].
“It’s because [Mane] is a special talent. Sometimes he’s diving, sometimes he has this talent to score incredible goals in the last minute. He’s a talent.”
Klopp has leapt to the defence of Mane, however, and insists the in-form Liverpool attack is “not a diver”.

Asked about Guardiola’s comments on Monday afternoon, the Reds boss told a press conference: “I am not in a Man City mood at the moment. I am not 100 per cent sure he only talks about Sadio.
“I don’t know how he could have known about the incident so soon after the game. But I can say, Sadio is not a diver.

“There was contact at Aston Villa, no penalty but there was contact. It’s not like he jumped over someone’s leg. All the other situations were penalties.
“If they happened for City they would want a penalty.”
