THURSDAY, 8TH AUGUST.

HE CAME TO HELP YOU WIN

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things… (John 14:26 NKJV).

I would to God that every Christian would realize the power and importance of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives! He was sent to help you make a success of your life. He’s your Helper, and His help isn’t restricted; He helps you in all things. No matter what you’re going through in life, with Him, you’ll always win. That’s why there’s no position of disadvantage to you.

Don’t ignore Him. Even if the trouble seems too overwhelming for you as an individual, remember, He’s the One called to walk alongside you. You’re not alone. If you’d listen to Him, He’d grant you the wisdom that you need. If you’d trust Him, He’d rid you of every trouble, irrespective of the cause.
What you need is to train your spirit to listen and discern His voice. He leads you through the Word; therefore, He’d always bring you God’s Word.

Activate your spirit by praying in tongues. That way, your spirit becomes more sensitive to His signals and promptings from within you.

The Holy Spirit is more passionate for your success than you could ever be, but He needs your cooperation. He said in Amos 3:3, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” He doesn’t do His work in you, without you. You have a role, which is to yield to His sway and influence. His work and ministry in your life is manifested and effective to the extent that you allow Him. The more you cooperate with Him and encourage His work in your life, the more He manifests Himself in, and through you.

He’s the wisdom you require. He’s the strength you need. 1 Samuel 2:9 says, “…for by strength shall no man prevail.” Never depend on your own abilities. Do all that you do with the help and power of the Holy Spirit, and you’ll always win.

PRAYER

I’m filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, because the Holy Spirit lives in me. I’m rightly positioned in the centre of God’s perfect will, being yielded to the control, sway, influence, and guidance of the Holy Spirit, every day of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Dear Lord, from the depth of my heart, I acknowledge Your faithfulness towards me! You’ve qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light, having freely given me all grace! Thank You for making my life glorious and making me the effulgence of Your righteousness, beauty, wisdom, and grace.

My life is excellent and full of glory because I am continually filled with the Spirit. I function from a vantage position of boldness, audacity, and victory in Christ Jesus, where I do not struggle but enjoy a blissful life of success, and an unending stream of the miraculous, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

READ: 2 Corinthians 12:1-9

1It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth such an one caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth

4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

MESSAGE

The word “grace” is commonly used in the Bible to describe the demonstration of God’s goodwill towards humanity and its effect on our lives. Grace is simply the unmerited favor of God, the supreme expression of which is the redemption of sinners and the full forgiveness they freely receive through faith in Jesus Christ the grace of God is more than enough to cover every weakness and challenge in the life of anyone who comes to Him through Jesus Christ ( 1 Timothy 1:14). Throughout the Bible, we see God’s grace spoken of in relation to three overlapping terms: goodness, love and mercy. Grace is therefore a product of God’s goodness, love and mercy towards humanity. We all owe the blessings of life to the goodwill of the Almighty God, who makes His sun rise on the evil and good, and sends His rain on the just and the unjust. There is therefore no one who has not tasted of God’s grace. Beyond this, there is a higher level of grace that sets a people apart unto God, granting them privileges which others don’t enjoy. I pray that God will be gracious to you, and you will progressively experience higher levels of His grace throughout your lifetime in Jesus’ Name.

Those who desire to enjoy the benefits of being distinguished by grace need to recognize that God’s grace is made known today in Jesus Christ. John 1:7 says:

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

Truly divine grace is a gift of God that is exceedingly abundant in securing forgiveness and redemption for anyone dead in sin. God’s grace raises sinners up from the dunghill of shame and makes them sit together with Christin heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6). In addition to being more than enough, God’s grace also opens the door to healing from all kinds of sicknesses and deliverance from captivity, breaking down satanic strongholds and transforming lives. Amazingly, even though no one deserves this grace, it is abundantly available to us all for free. Indeed, no one can ever meet the requirements or fulfil the conditions necessary to access the benefits associated with God’s grace. This is why Ephesians 2:8-9 says:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We should therefore always be thankful for grace. The saving grace of Jesus Christ is available to all human beings without exception; please, don’t reject or ignore it! Accept it with thanksgiving to God, and your life will never be the same again. Amen!

ACTION POINT:

Spend time expressing gratitude to God for the many benefits His grace has bestowed on your life.

SEEDS OF DESTINY 

8th August, 2019

TOPIC: *DEPLOYMENT OF POTENTIALS: A KEY TO DESTINY FULFILMENT*

SCRIPTURE : A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. Proverbs 18:16
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY : "The hiding of one’s gifting is the restriction of one’s lifting in life and destiny".

Destiny is God’s design and picture for a person’s future. To capture this picture of God for your future,"you must understand your purpose for existence". When you capture the picture of the future God has for you, and have become everything God created you to be in life, you have fulfilled destiny.

The worst form of failure on earth is not the failure to make money, it is not the failure to make friends; it is the failure to become everything God wants you to become.

Now, we shall be looking at factors that confirm that destiny is being fulfilled. Today, we shall look at one of those factors, which is the Full Deployment of Potential.

Full deployment of potential involves stretching to reach the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus according to Paul the Apostle (Philippians 3:14). It is squeezing out your content until nothing is left. It is the determination to squeeze yourself until no content is buried with you at the end of your life on earth.

*It is important to know that the hoarding of potential is the wastage of life and destiny.* Those who hoard their gifts waste their lives. The hiding of your gifting is the restriction of your lifting. When a person is fully discharging what God has deposited in him and holds nothing back, it confirms the fact that he is not wasting his life on earth.

Beloved, *make up your mind to deploy all your potentials no matter where you find yourself in life.*
Remember this : "The hiding of your gifting is the restriction of your lifting".

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Release your potentials for both the advancement of God’s Kingdom and the benefit of humanity.
2. Refuse to hoard your potentials.

*TOPIC: THE “GOOD ROBBER”*
*BASIC SCRIPTURE: REVELATION 3:14-22*

Be reminded that a thief in South Africa safely returned a seven week-old baby he discovered in a car he had stolen in a real-life incident that could come out of the local Oscar-Winning movie, “TSOTSI.” The man sped off in the car with baby boy JP in the backseat after the mother had stepped out of the vehicle to open the gate to their Johannesburg home. 

The police caught up with the thief by calling the mother’s cell phone that was inside her handbag in the car. The thief answered the phone and said he had been waiting for a call so that he could say where the baby could be found. Truly, the man told the police that he would leave the baby at a primary school where his parents later found him fast asleep in a classroom. This robber was then popularly called, *“A THIEF WITH HALF A HEART.”*

But what the Holy Ghost is telling a user of today’s devotional is that: *A fountain cannot bring forth both sweet and bitter water!* It is not possible in this race of life to be on the side of good and on the side of evil at the same time! There is nothing like a good armed robber, a good prostitute, a good liar, a good miser, a good witch, a good backslider, a good gossip, etc. Yes! There is nothing like good stagnant business or good barren womb/life! Also as far as God is concerned, you either become very cold or very hot for Him! You are either prayer warrior or a playing warrior! 

*God hates lukewarm people! You cannot tie up a dog with the intestine of a pig. Enough is not a feast – it is only enough!* So, visit the Laodicean church and learn: “…I would thou wert cold or hot… So then because thou art lukewarm, I will spue thee out…” When God spits you out, you do not become hot or cold. You become DEAD! Lukewarmness irritates God! Choose to be very hot (fervent) in your faith in God this year! *ODM is the best gift item for all occasions!*

Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

EXPOSITION

Are you like many today who believe in a “religious” God? Do you believe that God is against you when you fall short, that He is angry with you when you fail, and that fellowship with Him is cut off when you make mistakes? It is no wonder then that instead of running to the one true solution, many sincere folks run in the opposite direction when they are hurting. So, there is a great deception, a powerful, wrong belief about God that has trapped many in the vicious cycle of condemnation, guilt, fear, defeat, and addiction.

Dearly beloved, God is God of infinite grace. He is repugnant to the “religious”, but gracious to the hurting. No matter what you are going through now, whatever addictions may be binding you, believing right can, and will set you free. Start with believing this powerful truth: God is the God of grace and forgiveness. He loves you very much, and doesn’t hold your mistakes against you, most especially, when you have confessed and forsaken them.

Don’t let the mistakes you made in the past hold you back from reaching out to God and receiving His forgiveness for all your failures. Begin to believe right about the Lord, believe right about His heart and love for you, and your entire life will be transformed. Right believing always leads to right living.

PRAYER POINTS

1. O Lord, help me to run to You whenever I fail and feel discouraged, in Jesus name.
2. O Lord, keep caring for me, when I am hurting and supply my needs in every situation, in Jesus' name.
2. Pray for as many as possible brothers/ sisters/
ministers around you who spiritually fell in a way or the other, that the God of grace should restore them, speedily.
