A police officer in the Abia state police command has been accused of extrajudicial killing.
 
Twitter user simply identified as Amaka in a series of tweets, said the police officer identified as Collins Akpugo, allegedly shot the victim, Christian Onuoha, dead along the Okwulaga Afara-Ukwu, Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia state.
 
The state police command is yet to react to the allegation.

Last night Afara-ukwu, Ibeku, in Umuahia, Abia State was on fire as youths burn down police vehicle over the death of young man who was shoot by an identified police officer.

According to an eye witness who forwarded thess pictures to orjisblog, said that the boy whose name was "Christian Onuoha" was shot by a policeman whose name is "Collins Akpugo" over an argument. According to her she said Christian was shoot because he asked the police men to dime the lights of their car and the policeman threatened and fired a shot at the boy.

These lead to the setting of the police car on fire by the angry youths who chased the security men away. More details about this later..

Photo has emerged of the face of the police officer who shot a boy dead in Umuahia for asking who flashed the light.A friend of the deceased shared the photo of the policeman and the corpse of the deceased while mourning him.

Sergeant Collins Apugo Wanted By Police For Killing Man In Umuahia (Graphic)


The Abia State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a police officer, Sergeant Collins Apugo, who allegedly shot and killed a young man, Chibuike Onuoha in Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state.

The 24-year-old man was reportedly shot dead by Sergeant Apugo in the Okwulagha Afara community in Umuahia, the state capital on Monday night, during an argument.
The policeman allegedly took to his heels and abandoned his patrol vehicle, after the shooting, and angry residents of the area immediately set it ablaze in protest.

Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Ene Okon said a five-man committee including an Assistant Commissioner of Police, the Area Commander, and the Security Adviser to State Government, has been set up to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

While condemning the action of the policeman, Okon admitted that the officer failed to adhere to the rules of engagement and vowed to leave no stone unturned to apprehend the culprit.
