THURSDAY, 16TH MAY.

HE HAS FAITH IN YOU

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).

The Bible tells us that for the joy, the glory that was set before Him, Jesus endured the Cross, despising the shame (Hebrews 12:2). You’re that joy, the glory that He saw, for which He didn’t mind a criminal’s death. He saw in His mind what you and I would become by virtue of His vicarious sacrifice.

He gave His life to realize His dream for us; His dream of us becoming the glory of God; His dream of us becoming the righteousness of God and partakers of the divine nature. He gave His life so God’s plan for us to have, and enjoy life to the full would be realized. He gave His life so we could live in righteousness, prosperity, health, dominion, victory, and excellence forever. Hallelujah!

Jesus had faith in what He did. He had faith in us, and trusted us with His life. He knew that if we would believe His Gospel, we would become like Him, and now we’re like Him (1 John 4:17). He knew we would become one with Him, filled with divinity. He knew we would become associates of the God-kind and comrades of the divine order. Blessed be God!

Believe in what He did, who He is, and what He’s made you. Decide that you’re going to be happy, prosperous, and successful, winning all the time. Decide that you’re going to be everything He died and came back to life for you to become. Decide that your life will only be excellent and full of glory, to the praise of the One who loved you and gave Himself for you. Live to His dream, and fulfil your destiny in Him, because He has faith in you.

CONFESSION

I’m what God says I am. I’m an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ; I’m living God’s dream and enjoying the fullness of life. I walk in prosperity, health, strength and victory now and evermore, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Dear Father, I thank You for making me to sit together in heavenly places in Christ! Not only does Christ live in me, He’s also my home, and the environment from which I function. Christ is my glory, my health, wealth, wisdom, righteousness, and my all! In Him I live, and move, and have my being.

I am full of divine might; I have the ability to know and understand the mysteries of the Kingdom , because the Lord has enlightened my spirit. Daily, I walk in the light, and manifest the same to my world! Thank You Lord, for being my light, and also making me the light of the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

MESSAGE

Many of us desire the blessing of Abraham
and this is a good thing. However, how
many of us are ready to do the things
Abraham did? Abraham gave gifts that
honored God, so much that God swore by
Himself to bless Him. After Abraham gave his
very best on the altar of sacrifice, God said
to him in Genesis 22:16-17:

“16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith
the LORD, for because thou hast done this
thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine
only son: That in blessing I will bless thee,
and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as
the stars of the heaven, and as the sand
which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed
shall possess the gate of his enemies;”
Our God is not a respecter of persons. If you
can also honor Him with your giving, He is
ready to give you a blessing that has
everlasting value in return.

The most precious thing you can give to
honor God is your life. Just as God
demanded the son of promise as a burnt
sacrifice from Abraham, so does He demand
your life. He says to you today:
My son, give me thine heart, and let thine
eyes observe my ways.

Proverbs 23:26
The devil is also struggling to have your
heart so that he can thwart the great plans
of God for your life. When you choose to
give your heart to God, you have done Him a
great honor, and you will find favor in His
sight and in the sight of men (Proverbs 3:4).
Another form of giving which honors God is
found in today’s memory verse. Giving God
the first fruit of your increase is an act of
faith that brings delight to His heart. There is
no ambiguity as to what we stand to gain
from this. In Proverbs 3:10, He clearly says:
“So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and
thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”
Unfortunately, many Christians still argue
against the doctrine of first fruits. Some say
that it belongs to the Old Testament, and I
ask them whether the Old testament is not
part of God’s word to us. There are some
pleasant promises of God we love which are
only found in the Old Testament. We do not
say we will not key into them because they
are only in the Old Testament, so why ignore
the doctrine of first fruit? Beloved, give God
your best today. Honor Him by offering your
spirit, soul and body to Him as a living
sacrifice in holiness and acceptable service
(Romans 12:1-2). I pray that the Lord will
grant you grace to completely obey His
command like Abraham the father of faith,
did.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please give me a heart of flesh that is
receptive to keeping Your precepts.

I got the mail below in my box and believe that heaven will use it to rearrange some things in your life/ministry today! It reads: “Good morning sir. I am a user of Our Daily Manna. And I have realized that most of the time, what you write on a daily basis is in line with my life. In today’s devotional, in the prayer points’ section, you asked us to pray seriously about the month and also to pray against miscarriages for women. I have been believing God for the fruit of the womb, and each time something is about to happen, *a dream about me eating or sleeping with someone in the dream comes up and after I wake up, I find myself bleeding at the end of the day.*

Last night, I ate meat in my dream again and while still in the dream, I found myself bleeding. Immediately, still in the dream, I anointed myself. I woke up suddenly and anointed myself physically and prayed. The big shocker was that as I picked up Our Daily Manna this morning, I saw what you wrote about this month and miscarriages and I felt that I should write to you and tell you about what has been happening to me so that you can pray with me. Yours in Christ, Mrs. I.O.”

God wants you to know that He has a word in season for every situation. That is why I always emphasizes that while putting dates in every edition write-up before we go to press, I do not eat and I do not see any human being. While I was dating that edition, I did not know that someone would have dreamed on that night, but God saw it months ago, and prepared a word of escape (I always write 3 months ahead). *So, there are no coincidences with God!* Secondly, God also wants you to deal with miscarriages of all types.

Pull down biological/physical miscarriages, financial miscarriages, career miscarriages, marital miscarriages, spiritual miscarriages, etc. Use today’s devotional to also pull down the foundation of disappointments at the edge of your breakthroughs! Satan is a liar! The Word says your EXPECTATION will not be CUT OFF (Jeremiah 29:11; Proverbs 24:14)! Miscarriage is not in your FAMILY DNA!

TOPIC: EFFECTIVE GUIDE TO A SOLID PRAYER LIFE 

SCRIPTURE: And he said unto him,"If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Exodus 33":15.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A prayerful person is one who has realised that he is hopeless and useless without God.

Prayer is the expression of human helplessness and insufficiency without God. Prayer is the channel for the realization and the actualization of the promises of God. This means that promises remain unrealised when prayer is not in place in a person’s life. A prayerful person is one who has realised that he is hopeless and useless without God. 

The opposite is true of a prayerless person. Prayerlessness is a declaration of independence and self-sufficiency from God. 

When a person does not have a quality and solid prayer life,"he is declaring his independence of God. Prayerlessness could be an expression of pride and arrogance. And the worst thing that can happen to anyone is living independent of God. Your prayerfulness is the strongest confirmation of your helplessness without God.

Now, what do we do to have a solid prayer life? What are the guides to a solid prayer life?

1. Never be too Busy to Pray (Mathew 6":33). Being too busy to pray is a product of inverted or up-side-down priority. To be too busy to pray is to be too busy to live.

2. Never Delegate your Prayer Responsibility (Matt. 6:9). Prayer is not a delegable responsibility. You must pray for yourself because you are not another person’s responsibility or priority.

3. Never Push Aside the Burden of Prayer (Matt. 26:36-41). Whenever you have the burden to pray,"make sure you pray until that burden is lifted.

4. Maintain a Regular prayer Schedule (1Thes 5":17). Let your prayer schedule be regular and not haphazard (Daniel 6:10).

5. Never give up on God (Phil. 4:6). Never become too discouraged to pray. Your situation cannot make God a liar. It does not matter what you are passing through; others passed through it and came out successfully. You too are coming out if you refuse to give up. 

REMEMBER THIS: A prayerful person is one who has realised that he is hopeless and useless without God.

*TOPIC:**BATTLE OF BREAKTHROUGH*
*Read: Genesis 38:27-29*

*MEMORISE: _And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force_ (Matthew 11:12).*

*EXPOSITION*

Breakthrough is not something you wait for; you need to fight for it before you get it. It is not something we sit around and wait for. 

Breakthrough is God waiting on us to respond to what He has already commanded and promised. Breakthrough, which implies overcoming obstacles against major progress, requires that you pray truly with all prayers *(Eph. 6:18).* You must pray some hindrances out of your way before you arrive at the destination of progress. Jabez prayed sorrow out of his way before his breakthrough emerged *(1 Chro.4:9-10).*

Breakthrough requires dealing with the flesh. The flesh is the power that pushes you to do what you shouldn’t be doing (wrong things). Remember, you can’t get right things by doing the wrong *(Rom. 7:15-20).* Breakthrough also demands that you wrestle against principalities and powers in oppression, where you live and come from. *(Eph. 6:12).* The devil, their lord and master must be vehemently resisted, and this is possible by the power of Jesus Christ *(1 Pet.5:8ff; Rev. 12:11).*
Jesus fought and defeated Satan who claimed to be in charge of all the kingdoms of the world, in the wilderness *(Luke 4:5-8).* It wasn’t as easy as it looked. It was a serious battle, but Satan can never overcome God. That is the more reason you have to align with Christ *(cf. 1 Cor, 15:57).* Angel Gabriel prayed God to rebuke the Prince of Persia who restrained him from visiting Daniel *(Dan. 10:13).*

 There is a battle to fight before you attain the height you desire. That is why we talk of spiritual warfare. So, pray your way out of the battle before you today and always, God helping you.
