MONDAY, 18TH FEBRUARY.

SPEAKING WISDOM.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect…we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory (1 Corinthians 2:6-7).

God expects you to constantly renew your mind with the Word, so you can think, talk, and live the higher life in Christ. In this higher life, we speak wisdom; and the wisdom of God is the Word of God.

For example, you may be feeling stressed or faint, yet you affirm, “I have the life of God in me!” The people of the world and the spiritually immature can’t get in on this kind of talk; they don’t understand the wisdom of God that we speak, because it’s not in their plane.

Consider this: God said to Abraham, “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee” (Genesis 17:5). The man knew those words were the wisdom of God for it was naturally impossible for him to have a child, being almost one hundred years old, with an equally old, barren wife.
Nevertheless, he immediately aligned his confession with the wisdom of God and started introducing himself to everyone by his new name, “Abraham,” which means “father of many.” He didn’t care if the people laughed him to scorn; he maintained his confession of God’s wisdom and sure enough, Isaac was born.

As you meditate on God’s Word, continue to declare the things He has said concerning you, irrespective of the prevalent natural circumstances. It makes no difference if the theorists have said the disease is incurable; keep affirming, “Christ is my life! Christ makes me whole; Christ makes me sound! Christ in me means divine health! His divine presence makes me indomitable, refreshed, invigorated, and energised.”

Do this every day, interjecting it with speaking in tongues; and I guarantee you, that sickness will pass out of your body in no time. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m what God says I am! I’m like a tree planted by the riverside, bringing forth fruits in and out of season! I’m more than a conqueror, because the greater One lives in me. Christ is my life, and His glory is revealed in, and through me. Hallelujah.

Dear Lord, I am so glad You made me fit to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light. I thank You for the anointing of Your Spirit and manifestation of Your grace in my life. I thank You for anointing my mind with divine wisdom to affect the lives of people all over the world. I am the seed of Abraham.

My thoughts are anointed, and I implement those ideas by the ability of Your Spirit at work in me. I have within me the inherent dynamic ability to cause changes. I take full advantage of my divine abilities in Christ and effect changes in and around me today. I am full of God’s might, and function by His power and glory today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: PRINCIPLE OF DIVINE MULTIPLICATION.


MEMORISE:

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

MESSAGE

From the beginning of creation, multiplication has been central to the purpose and agenda of God for humanity. The Lord in His infinite wisdom specifically chose His words when He proclaimed His first blessing upon mankind in Genesis 1:28, saying:

“Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

God deliberately started His proclamation with “Be fruitful”. What does it mean to be fruitful? Fruitfulness is actually a form of multiplication, because when a single seed of corn or a tiny portion of some other crop is planted, at the time of harvest it usually brings forth multiple folds of what was planted. Amazingly, after God proclaimed “Be fruitful”, He thereafter commanded the multiplied fruits to be multiplied again, culminating in what is known as progressive multiplication. Surprisingly, God didn’t stop there; He went ahead to make another related decree, saying “Replenish the earth”. This implies that after getting to the end of a process, there is a need to make preparations for beginning the process all over again. To replenish the earth is to nourish and prepare the ground to produce and accommodate future harvests successfully.

Consequently, God’s principle of divine multiplication can be said to be multidimensional. Let’s consider a few of the dimensions that can usher one into the realm of divine multiplication. The first of these is thanksgiving. If you want to be blessed, learn to offer quality thanksgiving to God for His love and mercy, goodness and favor. Sing praises to God for who He is: the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Ancient of days, and the Lord of Hosts. You cannot praise and worship God enough; therefore, keep spending quality time praising Him. The second aspect of the principle of multiplication is giving. Giving involves paying tithes and offerings, sponsoring the propagation of the gospel of Jesus, and getting involved in the work of ministry. Giving is a time tested aspect of the principle of multiplication, confirmed by the Lord Himself in Luke 6:38. The third dimension of multiplication is to be a diligent worker. God promised in several passages of the Bible to bless the work of our hands (Deuteronomy 12:7, Psalm 1:3)! Christians must have a livelihood and be committed to working hard before they can hope for multiplication. The fourth dimension of the principle of multiplication is holy living and prayer (Philippians 4:6). Finally, do not be satisfied with the grace that you already have. Be thankful for it but don’t go to sleep over past successes. Believe God and serve Him in holiness, and God’s principle of progressive multiplication will begin to operate in your life today in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, let Your principle of progressive multiplication begin to work for me in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: DON’T USE YOUR HEAD TO STOP THE BALL THIS YEAR!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 10:6-11;
2CORINTHIANS 5:7

Dr Bennett Omalu, a 49 year-old Nigerian-born naturalized American brain specialist said this very recently: “No child under the age of 18 should be heading the ball in soccer. Kids under the age of 12 to 14 should play a less contact form of soccer which we would develop for them. Kids between 12 and 18 can play but should not head the ball.

I know this is very difficult for many people but science evolves. We change with time. Society changes! It is time for some of us to change our ways. It does not make sense to control an object travelling at a high velocity with your head. I believe eventually, at the professional level, we need to restrict heading of the ball. It is dangerous.

The human brain floats like a balloon inside your skull, so when you head the ball, you suffer brain damage.” Dr Omalu made this statement following his discovery of how American footballers suffer from a brain disease called CHRONIC TRAUMATIC ENCEPHALOPATHY (CTE). His discovery arose from his autopsy of former Pittsburgh player, Steeler Mike Webster, in 2002. This was corroborated by inquest into the death of former England and West Brom Striker, Jeff Astle. The inquest concluded that Jeff died from brain trauma caused by old, heavy leather footballs. Autopsies of other high profile footballers also proved that they had dementia linked to heading football! Wow! Don’t tell me I will not be seeing award-winning goal-scoring headers any more, but what the Holy Ghost wants you to know is that JUST AS IN THE PHYSICAL, WHEN YOU CANNOT USE YOUR HEAD (BRAIN) TO STOP HIGH SPEED OBJECTS WHEN YOUNG, SO IT IS IN THE SPIRITUAL! Stop using your head to stop enemy bullets! Stop using your head to IMAGINE how God will do what He had PROMISED TO DO! Stop using your head to imagine how you will marry! Stop using your head to joggle your STORY TO GLORY testimony! Yes! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that the just shall walk BY FAITH and not BY BRAIN (their heads)! If Moses had used his HEAD – his BRAIN, he would have drowned in the RED SEA BATTLE! 2Corinthians 5:7 makes it very clear: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” You cannot figure out God or serve Him with your HEAD (your brain or eyes)! In this year 2019, determined that you will not be moved by SIGHT but by FAITH! Faith is all about believing. You don’t know how it will happen. But you know it will! Faith is like WiFi.

It’s invisible, but it has the power to connect you to what you need! Your faith can move mountains but your doubt can create them! Faith does not make things easy, it makes them possible! Sometimes the best thing you can do is not think, not wonder, NOT IMAGINE (using your HEAD), but just breathe, trust and have faith that everything you will work out for the best concerning your life and family!

1. Thank God and pray about today’s word as led now.
2. Repent from using your head – your brain to judge your God in the past!
3. Oh God, from today, I choose to walk more by faith and less by circumstances around my life, family and ministry! Pray about today now!

TOPIC: The Exemption Power of the Blessing
SCRIPTURE: Then Isaac sowed in that land,"and received in the same year an hundredfold": and the Lord blessed him. Genesis 26:12

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be blessed is to be exempted from the negative situations of life.
The Blessing of God carries the force of exemption; exemption from negative circumstances or situations. One of the things the blessing of God does to the blessed is that it makes their case to be different from those of others in the land. When a common calamity befalls everyone in the land, the blessed are exempted. This was what happened to Isaac in Genesis 26; while there was famine in the land, he was richly blessed by God with abundant harvest.

This implies that when people around you are being confronted with negative situations like chronic singleness, barrenness, poverty, stagnation, failure, premature deaths, etc., your case is different because you are a carrier of God’s Blessing.

Sometime ago, I met a young man who came from an idolatrous family; almost everyone was a native doctor in his family. He tried every effort to go to the university but it was not possible. I prayed for him and that limitation was broken by the power of the Blessing. He went on to study Accounting in the university. That was what no one in his family has ever achieved.

Beloved,"the Blessing carries an exemption power; to be blessed is to be exempted from the negative situations of life; to be blessed is to be exempted from generational curses and ancestral limitations. A blessed person is not a victim of evil. Abraham was exempted from the ancestral limitation of his family by the power of the Blessing (Genesis 12":1-5).

My counsel is, press into God until He blesses you.
Remember this: To be blessed is to be exempted from the negative situations of life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Press into God for the impartation of the Blessing.
2. Value the channels of God’s Blessings in order to be blessed by God.
PRAYER: O Lord, I ask for the impartation of Your Blessing on my life; let your blessing exempt me from every negative situation of life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE GRACE OF GOD (III)
Read: Ephesians 1:5-8

MEMORISE: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

EXPOSITION

In continuation of our study on the grace of God, we need to take a critical look at the roles grace and mercy play in our salvation. God’s grace and mercy are closely related. The two of them have their different parts in our salvation. Although, they are similar expressions of His favour and love, yet they possess a clear distinction. God shows both mercy and grace, but they are not the same. We need the two of them as far as our salvation is concerned.

Mercy is God’s choice not to punish us as sins deserve, and grace is God’s choice of blessing us despite the fact that we do not deserve it. Mercy is deliverance from judgement. Grace is extending kindness to the unworthy. When we experience God’s mercy, we are spared punishment that we deserve (Tit 3:5). When we experience God’s grace, we receive favour that we do not deserve (Eph. 2:8). We ought to appreciate God for His loving-kindness toward us.

As earlier mentioned, the two of them have their specific parts in our salvation. As human beings, we deserve judgement, but if we receive Jesus Christ as our saviour, we receive mercy from God and we are delivered from judgement. We now receive salvation, forgiveness of sins, and abundant life by grace, instead of judgement (John 10:10). If there is anything we need to express our gratitude to God everyday of our lives, it should be for His mercy and grace upon our lives.

Conclusively, if you have not yet repented of your sins, and put your trust in Jesus, the only Saviour, you will face His bitter judgement someday (Rev. 20: 11-15). The wrath of God remains on you and you are storing up wrath every single day (Rom. 2:5). It is better that you receive grace and mercy from God today, so that you will not receive the deserved wrath of God some unexpected day.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, let Your mercy and grace abound in my life everyday, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, let Your mercy always speak for me whenever I go wrong before You as a man, in Jesus’ name.
3. Give me, oh Lord, the grace to grow higher in all aspects of my life, in Jesus’ name.
