Gonzalo Higuain has today joined Chelsea on for the remainder of the season.

The 31 year old Higuain moves from Italian side Juventus, though he spend first half of the season on loan at AC Milan where he scored eight goals before joining Chelsea.

Higuain is a proven goalscorer through out his career, and has scored some multiple goals for Argentina.

He arrived with wealth of experience at the highest level having shown his attacking quality during his time in Argentina, Spain and Italy.

Higuain previously play under Chelsea coach Maurizo Sarri at Napoli during 2015/2016, where he finished as a top scorer in Serie A he scored 36 goals that year.

Upon completing his loan move to Chelsea, Higuain, will now wear the number nine shirt.

Higuain in a statement said: ‘When the opportunity to join Chelsea presented itself I had to take it. It’s a team I’ve always liked that has a lot of history, a wonderful stadium and they play in the Premier League, a league I’ve always wanted to play in.

‘I now hope I can give back that trust Chelsea have shown me out on the pitch. I can’t wait to start and I hope to adapt as soon as possible.’

Finally! Controversial footballer Mario Balotelli gets a new club, joins Marseille (Photos)






Controversial Italian footballer, Mario Balotellihas completed a free transfer to Marseille after his fallout with his former boss Patrick Vieira at Nice in France.
The former Inter Milan striker who also played for AC Milan, Liverpool, and Manchester Citywas allowed to leave Nice on a free transfer after scoring a single goal after playing just 10 under Vieira.
According to Sky Sports Italia, Balotelli will earn £2.7million for just 17 games at Marseille after joining the French club until the end of the season.
 

 
At his press conference, Balotelli who has been handed the number 9 jersey, said: 'When this happens the striker is responsible for the situation but sometimes there are external factors. I was supposed to leave at the beginning of the season, then I didn't leave. But I will make up for it.'
 

 
Asked what his ambitions were, he joked: 'My ambition is to finish this news conference, go to training and see if I can play on Friday.'

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry 'set to be sacked by Monaco' just 15 weeks into his managerial career






Thierry Henry's managerial career is reportedly set to be cut short with Monaco ready to sack him just 15 weeks after he landed his first coaching job.
 
The Arsenal legend landed his first manager's job with the French club on October 13 when he signed a three-year contract until the summer of 2021. But he has only won just four of his first 20 matches in charge.
 
According to The Mirror, Monaco is ready to sack Henry and are lining up predecessor Leonardo Jardim as a possible replacement.
 
The 44-year-old took charge of 232 matches and Monaco were victorious in 125 of them, giving him an overall win percentage of 53.88. In comparison, Henry was won just 20 percent of his games so far and the club is not impressed with him.
 
It is claimed that Henry will be told in the next 48 hours that he is no longer the man to lead the Ligue 1 strugglers.

Turkish club Fernerbahce have officially announced the signing of winger Victor Moses from Chelsea on loan. 

The Nigerian penned a contract with The Yellow Canaries after passing a medical following his arrival in Istanbul.

The 28-year-old has moved to Turkey until the end of the 2019-20 season after falling out of favour under Maurizio Sarri.

Moses was converted from a winger to wing-back by Antonio Conte, Sarri's predecessor, playing a key role in the 2016-17 title triumph.

A statement on the club's website read: "Our club has reached an agreement with Chelsea to recruit Victor Moses.

It is with great sadness that I part company with AS Monaco' - Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry



 



Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has confirmed his departure from AS Monaco as the club's first team manager. 
 
This come just 15 weeks after he signed a 3 year deal that was supposed to last until 2021 and has so far won just 4 of his 20 matches.
 
In his parting message Henry said, 'It is with great sadness that I part company with AS Monaco. Despite the struggles and difficulties that we encountered along my short journey, I have still thoroughly enjoyed my time at this wonderful Club'.

He went on to say, 'my ambition and philosophy from the day I joined will always be that the CLUB comes first. I strongly believe in this squad of players and that the team with all the recent new signings is now in a better shape to tackle the second part of the season and to go on a winning run and fulfil its full potential',
'I would particularly like to thank Vadim Vasilyev and Michael Emenalo who afforded me this opportunity at my boyhood Club and of course the fans and staff who have given me such a warm reception during my tenure. Man. U legend Rio Ferdinand blasts Jose Mourinho as the club records eight straight wins after his sacking






Manchester United legend and football pundit, Rio Ferdinand has taken a swipe at Jose Mourinho after the club recorded their eight straight wins against Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round last night. 
Recall that Jose Mourinho was sacked in December 2018 due to the poor run of the club and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a former Manchester United striker was appointed as interim boss to replace him.
 
Since his appointment, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won eight of all his games in charge and his latest win was against Arsenal last night, which was a 3 - 1 victory for the red devil.

Javier Hernandez Willing To Join Valencia

Javier Hernandez is keen on a move to Valencia and West Ham are willing to sell him this month, according to the Spanish side’s manager Marcelino.

Sky Sports News reported earlier this month that Hernandez is eager to leave the Hammers because of his lack of game-time, and that Valencia are interested in bringing him to La Liga.

Ahead of Valencia’s game against Villarreal on Saturday, Marcelino confirmed his interest in the Mexican striker, saying: “Chicharito is an option.


“He is not getting much game-time and he is willing to join us, but the situation is complicated.

Sunderland Hot-Shot Maja Joins Bordeaux

Bordeaux have signed Sunderland striker Josh Maja, the two clubs have announced.

The 20-year-old is the Black Cats’ top scorer this season with 15 goals in League One but has departed for France after signing a four-and-a-half-year deal with Les Girondins.

Sunderland announced the news in a brief statement on their website which read: “Josh Maja has completed a move to Bordeaux. The 20-year old Sunderland AFC academy graduate has joined the French Ligue 1 side on a permanent basis.”


Bordeaux confirmed the length of the contract and added: “Everyone here at the club is delighted to welcome such an exciting young talent to Bordeaux. Welcome to Bordeaux Josh!”

The fee was undisclosed but was reported to be around £3.5m. Maja will wear the number 27 shirt with his new club.

Nigerian transfer guru Michael Emenalo sacked as Monaco sporting director 24 hours after Thierry Henry's dismissal as manager

 



Nigerian transfer guru, Michael Emenalo has been sacked by Monaco from his role as sporting director just a day after Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was dismissed as the club's manager.
 
The 53-year-old who joined Monaco in 2017 after quitting his role as technical director at Chelsea was dismissed by the Ligue 1 side after just 20 games with the club. 
Emenalo had reportedly fallen out with Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyevfollowing Monaco's poor run of form in the league which has seen them sitting one point off the bottom of the table.
 
The French club have now reappointed Leonardo Jardim who was initially sacked for Theirry Henry to come in. He is now expected to save the club from relegation.

Sarri blasted Hazard after 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, pointed the finger at Eden Hazard, during his 50-minute long dressing room inquest, after Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday night.


Sarri kept the players locked in the dressing room after the 4-0 loss, even asking the rest of the coaching staff and physios to leave, so he could be alone with the players.

Speaking afterwards, the Italian said he “wanted to talk to them alone, without anybody else” as he attempted to “understand” why they had performed so badly in the second half.


Now details of what Sarri said to the squad have started to emerge, with The UK Telegraph reporting that Sarri singled out Hazard for his role in the defeat.

Sarri accused the Belgian of not following his instructions and playing how he wanted to, rather than doing what he had been told.

The former Napoli boss hinted at his unhappiness with Hazard’s recent displays earlier this month, saying he was “more an individual player than a leader.”

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, has joined the female team of FC Barcelona of Spain.


The Dalian Quanjian player will be at the Spanish club until the end of the 2018/2019 season.

Barcelona issued a statement with details of her loan signing on Thursday.


“The Nigerian footballer, 24 years old, arrived in Barcelona this morning.

“Subsequently, she carried out the relevant medical tests and signed the contract in the Office of the President of the Camp Nou, with the presence of the director responsible for the section, Maria Teixidor, and sports manager, Markel Zubizarreta,” the statement read.

Oshoala, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, said she’s excited about joining “one of the best clubs in the world”.


She said: “Obviously this is one of the best clubs in the world, the team has a great history and a good football mentality.

“I am very excited to play again with Vicky Losada, a great midfielder, with a lot of energy and technique, I have also met Fabiana in China and she has helped me make this decision.

“My goal is to strengthen the team and help you win and make history; it’s a great opportunity because I know something big is going to happen.”

Oshoala joined Chinese club, Dalian Quanjian, from Liverpool in February 2017.

Chelsea to replace Sarri with Pochettino

Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, has reportedly notified Maurizio Sarri his future is in jeopardy and is ready to rival Manchester United for the services of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to the UK Express.

The Blues returned to winning ways with a 5-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday, following their 4-0 humiliation at Bournemouth.

However, Abramovich is already losing patience with Sarri, whose side are locked in a three-way battle with Arsenal and United, for the final Champions League qualifying spot.


Chelsea were reported to be interested in Pochettino last summer, before appointing Sarri to succeed Antonio Conte.

Sarri made an instant impact at Stamford Bridge, but results and performances have dipped, since he suffered the first defeat of his reign against Pochettino’s Spurs side back in November.

It would cost Abramovich around £50million in compensation, to prise the Argentine from North London and the former Southampton manager’s preference remains United.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has confirmed an underwater video footage shows one occupant visible in the wreckage of the plane which was carrying Cardiff City footballer Emiliano Sala. 

The wreckage of the plane which was carrying the footballerwas found in the English Channelon Sunday morning after almost two weeks.

A private underwater search team located the aircraft and informed the families of Sala and pilot David Ibbotson.

David Mearns, who led the privately-funded search, confirmed the plane was identified by sonar off Guernsey at around 9am on Sunday.

MySportDab report AAIB officials arrived at the site to inspect the wreckage and have nowissued a statement.

They said: "Having identified a priority search area last week, the AAIB agreed a search strategy with Blue Water Recoveries Ltd to maximise the chance of locating the aircraft wreckage.

"The AAIB commissioned specialistvessel Geo Ocean III and Blue Water Recoveries Ltd commissioned FPV Morven and thesearch area was divided between the vessels. Both vessels began their search on the morning of Sunday 3 February.

"Early in the search, the Morven identified an object of interest on the seabed using its side-scan sonar equipment. It cleared the immediate area for the Geo Ocean III to use its underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to survey the area of the seabed in which the object was located. Based on analysis of ROV video footage, the AAIB investigators on board the vessel concluded that the object is wreckage from the missing Piper Malibu aircraft, registration N264DB.

"The ROV carried out a further search of the area overnight, but did not identify any additional pieces of wreckage.

"Tragically, in video footage from the ROV, one occupant is visible amidst the wreckage. The AAIB is now considering the next steps, in consultation with the families of thepilot and passenger, and the police.

"The image shows the rear left side of the fuselage including part of theaircraft registration.


"We intend to publish an interim report within one month of the accident occurring."

NewPort Goalkeeper Joe Day cut short his team's celebrations to race to his wife's side as she gave birth during the match.

Joe was seen on live television running off the pitch after his side beat Middlesbrough 2-0, sending team-mates and fans into a frenzy.

The 28-year-old knew the birth was imminent but had his phone turned off during the win on Tuesday night.
