Hazard bids Chelsea fans goodbye today

Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, is expected to say his goodbyes to Blues fans today, according to Daily Star.
Chelsea will play their last home game of the season against Watford on Sunday.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Despite Chelsea’s chances of booking a place in the top four to qualify for the Champions League and also going through to the final of the Europa League, the Belgian is poised to leave Stamford Bridge.
The Blues last home game of the season will technically be the Europa League semi-final second-leg clash with Frankfurt.
But Chelsea always do their lap of honour after the final home league game of every season.
The forward will be given the opportunity to wave goodbye to the Stamford Bridge faithful after almost seven years at the club.
The Belgian is expected to have his entire family inside the stadium for his final home league game.
Players’ children often take to the pitch for a final walk around the ground as they wave to fans.
Hazard’s three sons will likely be with him as he bids farewell to the Chelsea fans.

Former Liverpool midfielder, Graeme Souness, has slammed Daniel Sturridge, following the Reds 3-2 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
Souness said that the Liverpool striker will ‘finish his career and be angry.’
Souness also suggested that Sturridge’s warm-up routine was partly to blame for some of the many injury problems he has endured over the years.
Sturridge started for Jurgen Klopp’s side against Newcastle on Saturday in the absence of the injured Roberto Firmino.
Souness said that Sturridge was not making the most of his natural talent.
“He’s one of those boys who’ll finish his career, look back and think ‘I didn’t make the most of what god gave me,'” Souness told BT Sport.
“I think he’s wonderfully talented. Great touch. He might be a passenger tonight.
“When you have someone like him, so much ability, on a daily basis in training, you’d think ‘why can’t he have a pint of energy on match days?’
“But he said: ‘I’d have him in front of Origi, but i’m not saying he’s someone you can trust. That boy should be one of the first names on the team sheet, for England as well, but his career’s going to pass him by
“He’ll never fulfill the potential he has. He’s been given a god given talent that few have, but he doesn’t apply himself properly.
“I watched a game a few years ago, warming up, going through the motions in a warm up – no wonder you get injured when you come on as a sub.
“I might be wrong, he might be a demon in training, but he’s a man who’s got so much ability, he’ll finish his career and be angry with himself.”

Chelsea moved into third place in the Premier League as a quick-fire blitz from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and David Luiz inspired a vital 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri’s side were booed off after a sloppy first half, but two goals in three minutes from Loftus-Cheek and Luiz lifted the mood at Stamford Bridge.
Gonzalo Higuain added the third and Chelsea are now one point clear of fourth placed Tottenham after their first win in four games in all competitions.
If the Blues win their last league game of the season at Leicester next Sunday they will be certain to qualify for next season’s Champions League via a top-four finish.
Before heading to Leicester, Chelsea host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday, with the tie poised at 1-1 after the first leg.
Finishing in the top four and winning the Europa League would make Sarri’s troubled first season a relative success.
But even now Sarri, who has struggled to win over his squad, can’t escape murmurs of dissent.
The former Napoli boss awoke to more unrest on Sunday after out-of-favour Blues defender Gary Cahill blasted Sarri.
Cahill has made just eight appearances this season and claims he has been shown a lack of respect by Sarri.
“I see some of the situations with players who won the title with Chelsea, not just myself, and it just hasn’t been right,” the long-serving Cahill told the Sunday Telegraph.
“It makes it very hard for me to have respect for someone who has not respected what some of us have won with the club.”

But Cahill’s outburst might have been on his team-mates’ minds during a lethargic, distracted first half display.

Urging his players to “pass, pass, pass”, Sarri’s promptings almost brought a reward when Pedro went close with a 20-yard blast after a neat link-up with Gonzalo Higuain.
It wasn’t enough to prevent half-time jeers.
But Eden Hazard was beginning to warm to his task and the Belgian, without whom Chelsea would be completely toothless, helped Sarri’s men silence the doubters in the 48th minute.
When Hazard took a short corner, he collected Pedro’s return pass and flicked a cross towards the far post, where Loftus-Cheek rose above Nathaniel Chalobah to head home from close-range.
Playing with more verve and belief now, Chelsea struck again from another corner three minutes later as Hazard’s delivery was met by Luiz with a thumping header past Foster.
Higuain put the result beyond doubt when he scored just the fifth goal of his loan spell from Juventus in the 75th minute.
Running onto Pedro’s pass, the Argentine striker clipped a delicate finish over Foster from a tight angle to cap Chelsea’s second half resurgence.

Manchester United’s hopes of Champions League football next season were ended after an embarrassing 1-1 draw at already relegated Huddersfield on Sunday.
United have now won just two of their past 11 games in all competitions as Huddersfield ended a run of eight straight defeats despite goalkeeper Jonas Lossl’s error handing the visitors an early lead through Scott McTominay.
Terrible defending from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men gave the Terriers something to celebrate in their final home game before heading down to the Championship as Isaac Mbenza levelled on the hour mark.
Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Watford means United fall four points outside the top four with just one game of the season to go.
And failure to beat statistically one of the worst teams ever to play in the Premier League will see further questions raised over the decision to hand Solskjaer a three-year contract in March.
The Norwegian has bemoaned United’s lack of goals of late and recalled Alexis Sanchez to his starting line-up for the first time in two months in the search for more firepower.
But the Chilean again failed to live up to his status as the club’s highest earner before limping off just before the hour mark.
Instead, the visitors had to rely on Huddersfield for a helping hand as McTominay’s strike from the edge of the box went straight through Lossl’s legs after just eight minutes.
United quickly got the game restarted as they sought more goals to improve their inferior goal difference compared to their rivals for a top-four finish.
However, even against a Huddersfield side that previously registered just 14 points all season, United could not press home their advantage.

Juan Mata curled inches wide after some neat interplay between Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba before Pogba also saw a looping header come back off the crossbar.
Solskjaer had kept faith with David de Gea in goal despite three high-profile errors leading to goals in his previous four games.
Huddersfield did not even test De Gea’s nerve until five minutes before the break when Karlan Grant broke clear after an errant clearance from Phil Jones.
However, De Gea spread himself well to block a weak finish with his legs.
Huddersfield had only scored nine goals at home all season, but one hopeful punt from Lossl cut United open for the equaliser on the hour mark.
Luke Shaw failed to cut out the Danish goalkeeper’s clearance and allowed Mbenza a clear run on goal to slot between De Gea’s legs.
A lengthy delay then ensued as a new corner flag was found to replace the one Mbenza kicked over and snapped in celebration.
And the wait at least gave United time to awake from their slumber.
Rashford and teenager Tahith Chong, who replaced Sanchez, forced Lossl into saves low to his left.
Pogba then hit the crossbar for the second time in the game with a curling effort from the edge of the area.

Chelsea secured their place in the Champions League next season with victory over Watford at Stamford Bridge.

After a quiet first half, Chelsea scored twice within three minutes early in the second period through headers by Ruben Loftus-Cheek and David Luiz.
Gonzalo Higuain sealed the points with a neat finish from Pedro's pass for his fifth goal for the club.
The win moves Chelsea up to third, one point ahead of Tottenham and four points clear of the fifth-placed Gunners.
FA Cup finalists Watford started brightly, going close through Troy Deeney and Gerard Deulofeu, but were left to rue their slow start to the second half that saw Chelsea quickly take the game away from them.
The Hornets, who stay 10th, have now won just one of their past five Premier League games since their FA Cup semi-final victory over Wolves last month.
Chelsea seal top four going into critical week
Chelsea's Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt is finely poised at 1-1 after the first leg, but Maurizio Sarri could not afford to rest players as he looked to maintain their push for a top-four finish.
The Chelsea boss says that he wants to treat all his remaining games "with the same importance".
It is a delicate balancing act for the Italian, who said he left Eden Hazard out of the starting line-up in Frankfurt on Thursday to keep him fresh for their bid to qualify for the Champions League.
Despite the presence of the influential Belgian against Watford, Chelsea began the game sluggishly, with their only shot in target in the first half a chip from Jorginho that was awkwardly palmed away by Ben Foster.
Chelsea also suffered a blow early on when N'Golo Kante was forced off through injury and had to be replaced by Loftus-Cheek.
There was a smattering of boos from the home fans at the half-time whistle. But whatever Sarri said at the break had the desired effect as his side scored two quick-fire goals to take command of the game.
Hazard was the architect of both, his searching cross from the right following a short corner finding the head of Loftus-Cheek, who headed home his ninth goal of the season. Three minutes later, Hazard's corner found the unmarked Luiz, who powered another header past Foster.
Pedro and Higuain both drew smart stops from the Watford goalkeeper before the Argentine finished the game with 15 minutes left, running onto Pedro's sharp through-pass before chipping the onrushing Foster from a tight angle.
With speculation linking him with a summer departure, this could have been Hazard's final Premier League game for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
If that is the case then it was a fine way to bow out, though it also gave Chelsea a sharp reminder of what they will be missing if the Belgian leaves.
Gary Cahill was brought on in the final stages for his first competitive appearance since November before his expected departure from the club at the end of the season.

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has decided to sell midfielder, Luka Modric this summer.
Modric, who has drawn interest from Inter Milan, has just less than a year remaining on his Los Blancos’ contract.
AS reports that Zidane is not happy with Modric’s poor form this season and he is willing to sell the 33-year-old at the end of the season.
The report claimed that the Frenchman wants to rebuild Real Madrid squad this summer transfer window and will consider offers for the Croatian international.
Modric has lost form since winning the 2018 Ballon d’Or award ahead of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo.
He joined Real Madrid from Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur, in 2014.

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has predicted that his side’s Premier League clash against Brighton this weekend will be a “tough” match.
Guardiola said this following Man City’s Premier League 1-0 win over Leicester City on Monday night at Etihad.
The first half ended goalless, before captain, Vincent Kompany unleashed an unstoppable effort to seal all three points for Guardiola’s men against the visitors.
“One game left – it will be so tough like today – we are away and we saw Brighton had a good game at Arsenal,” Guardiola told BBC Sport.
“But it is in our hands, don’t forget but we could have been 10 points behind if we lost to Liverpool here [on January 3].
“We were seven points behind, but we are in the last game and it is in our hands. We are going to prepare well.
“We’ll see if Brighton defend deep or will be more offensive. It will be tough, but hopefully, we will have the performance to be champions.”

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is ready to force his way out of the club after they failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League, ESPN reports.
Pogba, who joined from Juventus for a then-record €100million three years ago, is under contract at United until June 2021.
But the Red Devils retain an option for an extra year which could be triggered solely by the club.
However, with United set to feature in the Europa League next season, the 2018 World Cup winner wants a new challenge.
It is understood that his agent, Mino Raiola, is likely to begin talking to the United hierarchy, once the Premier League season is over next week.
The Old Trafford club have publicly insisted that Pogba is not for sale, but they privately value him at €160m.
Real Madrid, who are the only club Pogba is considering joining, will try to lower a potential transfer fee to around €120m.

Leicester manager, Brendan Rodgers, has said Kelechi Iheanacho should have scored a late goal, to dent Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes.
Iheanacho came off the bench with 10 minutes to go at the Etihad Stadium on Monday, with Leicester trailing 1-0.
The Super Eagles forward, who was sold by Pep Guardiola, wasted a glorious opportunity to earn the Foxes a draw, which would have left Liverpool in top spot in the table.
Iheanacho has scored a single Premier League goal this season and Rodgers feels he should have done better with the chance.
“He should score, I said that to him afterwards, in the big games there are not many moments.
“It was tight, we were very, very good in our defensive organisations. They didn’t have many chances and we didn’t have many. But the one that came, you have to score that. He knows.
“It’s moments when you can come into the game and make an impact, he’s a great boy, works very, very hard in training.
“He’s got in front of him a top-class operator in Jamie [Vardy] so it’s difficult for him to find rhythm. However, it’s moments like that where you can make an impact. He’s actually done that in the other games.
“It was a big chance for him. The ball was there and it was on his good side. But it wasn’t to be. He got himself in the position … I felt we would have deserved that at least,” Rodgers told a news conference after the match.

Belgian striker, Divock Origi was the unlikely hero as Liverpool pulled off the greatest semi-final comeback in Champions League history with a 4-0 second-leg victory to complete a stunning 4-3 aggregate triumph against Barcelona.
Before the game, the odds were stacked heavily against Liverpool after both Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were ruled out with injury following a 3-0 first-leg defeat last week in Spain.
Divock Origi however gave Liverpool hope with a seventh-minute goal at Anfield before Georginio Wijnaldum scored two quick second-half goals to level the tie, setting the stage for the Belgian to strike the decisive goal 11 minutes from time.

'I do not know how it's going to affect me. Here we are, the coach has to take responsibility,' Valverde said in the aftermath of the defeat.
'It's very painful for us, especially for our people, it's the second year they've come back like that.
'Things got on top of us after those two quick goals [from Wijnaldum]. We didn't manage to get on the scoresheet and they rolled us over really.
'They surprised us with the fourth goal - presumably my players weren't looking. Liverpool were street smart and they scored.'
He added: 'It's happened again, it happened last year.
'It's true that it has been different games, the first leg, and second leg.
'They started really well, and they pinned us back. Early goal, we reacted well after that.
'We managed to control things a little bit in the second half of the first half. We had half chances to score.
'I think that we conceded two goals and then they really kind of got on top of us after those two quick concessions.
'We haven't managed to get on the scoresheet tonight. They scored two in two and they kind of us rolled us over, really.
'They have been really strong, they played really well. We've got to congratulate them on the performance they put up in the tie as a whole.
'It is a terrible result for our fans and for ourselves. We didn't expect a situation like this. This is what has happened to us.
'It is really, really unfortunate but credit is due to Liverpool.'

Argentine superstar, Lionel Messi reportedly broke down in tears after his dream of winning the Champions League for a fifth time with Barcelona was wrecked by Liverpool.
According to British media, Messi, who had made it his mission to win 'that trophy' was inconsolable in the Barcelona dressing room following the 4-0 defeat at Anfield, after his team won the first leg 3-0 at the Camp Nou.
To add to the public shame, Messi was selected to do the random drugs test by anti-doping officials and the team coach departed for Liverpool John Lennon Airport without him as a consequence.
Reports in the Spanish media have also claimed that, on Messi's arrival at the airport, he was involved in an angry confrontation with a group of Barcelona supporters over their team’s latest collapse in the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspot overcame a 1-0 home defeat to Ajax, to qualify for the final of the Champions League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s travelled to Holland, knowing that they had to beat the flying Dutch upstarts, who eliminated Real Madrid and Juventus from the competition.
However, they got off to a bad start, after Matthijs De Ligt headed the hosts in front.
Hakim Ziyech then doubled their advantage, finishing off a fine team move.
Pochettino reacted after the break, bringing on Fernando Llorente, to add more presence upfront.
But it was Lucas Moura who scored twice in quick succession and added a late, late goal, to send Spurs to the final, where they will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Chelsea vs Frankfurt: Sarri confirms major injury blow ahead of Europa League semi

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has confirmed that midfielder N’Golo Kante will miss the second leg of their Europa League semi-final fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
Kante faces a further two weeks out with a hamstring problem.
The France international left the field early, in the first half of last Sunday’s 3-0 Premier League win over Watford.
Chelsea, who drew the first leg 1-1, are hopeful the 28-year-old can feature if they reach the final of the competition on May 29.
“He had a problem with his hamstring. It is not very serious but he needs to rest for a couple of weeks.
“We can try to recover him for only the final match if we get there. I’m not sure if he can, but we can try,” Sarri told reporters on Wednesday.
