Big Names Join FIFA E-Nations Cup Line-Up

With four more countries being added to the roster, we almost have our full line-up for the FIFA eNations Cup™ 2019. The next quartet of big names to joining the line-up for the inaugural event are: Spain, USA, China PR and the Netherlands, with the competition set to take place on 13-14 April.

England has invited the two best English competitors of each platform in the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings to the national Live Finals: ‘Shellz’ and ‘Jas’ on the PlayStation side and ‘F2Tekkz’ and ‘Lyricz vs Luck’ on the Xbox side will compete for a chance to join England’s eFootball team at the FIFA eNations Cup 2019.

Cristiano Ronaldo put on a stunning display as Juventus triumphed over Atletico Madrid in their Champions League second leg clash at the Allianz Stadium, as the forward's hat-trick confirmed a 3-2 win on aggregate.
After a highly frantic start, the home side thought they had got off to the perfect start inside just four minutes, when Giorgio Chiellini pounced on a loose ball at the feet of Jan Oblak, but Ronaldo was adjudged to have fouled the keeper in the seconds before.
But, 22 minutes later, a period which flew by in a blur of intensity and fight, that man Ronaldo rose highest once again against Atletico to meet a wonderfully whipped in ball from Federico Bernardeschi and clatterhis header past Oblak and into the net.
The blood (literally, in the case of Chiellini) and thunder of the first half continued into the second, as I Bianconeri continued to pour forward.
And, this time, they did have a goal awarded inside the first four minutes, as Ronaldo pushed another powerful header towards Oblak, who looked to have improbably clawed it away before goal-line technology intervened.
As the minutes ticked down towards 90 and extra time beckoned, substitute Moise Kean had a glorious chance to win it when he went one-on-one with the Slovenian, but couldn't direct the bouncing ball goalward as he skewed the shot wide.
But that all faded into oblivion when Angel Correa pushed Bernardeschi in the penalty area, and CR7 made no mistake from the spot.

Eminem Reaches Deal With WWE For Smackdown Appearance

Eminem's still riding the wave of his latest album Kamikaze which arrived at the tail end of the summer last year. Since then, he's been doing a ton of shows overseas, engaged in a rap beef with his mini-me, MGK, was recently the focal point of a new POV documentary titled, Marshall From Detroit, and now, it looks like he has some major things planned for the World Wrestling Entertainment league.
WWE has constantly shown love for the hip-hop community over the years. According to Fightful, Eminem's about to be much more involved with the WWE this year. The rapper is set to contribute to the WWE 2K20 soundtrack later this year. However, he's also gearing up to make an appearance in an episode of WWE Smackdown later this year. The rapper and the company reached a deal earlier today which was partially motivated to help promote WWE Smackdown Live on the Fox network. The company's also planning on having a custom championship belt made for Em, as well.
Eminem isn't the first rapper to appear on WWE Smackdown. Snoop Dogg, Diddy and Rick Rosshave made appearances in the WWE in the past. Additionally, several of Eminem's foes have also made cameos including Limp Bizkit, Machine Gun Kelly, and Insane Clown Posse.

Over 100,000 Tickets Sold For FIFA U-20 World Cup

With just over two months to go until the opening match of the FIFA U-20 Word Cup Poland 2019, more than 100,000 tickets have already been sold via the official website FIFA.com/tickets/U20WC.
The most sought-after matches are the final and the three group fixtures of the Polish national team, including the opening on 23 May in Lodz. FIFA encourages all fans to visit FIFA.com/tickets/U20WC and check the traffic light system, which gives an indication of ticket availability per match.
Tickets are available in two categories and start at PLN 10. The full price list is available here.
Fans will be able to print at home, meaning that everyone who has successfully bought tickets on FIFA.com/tickets/U20WC will be able to download and print them from their ticketing account.
Each ticket will include a unique barcode that will be checked and validated at the stadium gate. No tickets will be sold at the stadiums.
The FIFA U-20 World Cup is FIFA’s second-oldest competition and the first FIFA tournament to be hosted by Poland. Previous editions of the tournament have featured such global stars as Messi, Maradona, Iniesta, Griezmann, Salah and Piqué.

Juve Bought Me To Win Champions League, Says Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo was signed to win Juventus the Champions League – and he might yet do just that, writes BBC.com. The Portuguese produced his latest masterclass in Europe’s elite competition to bring the Italian side back from the brink of a last-16 exit against Atletico Madrid and book their place in the quarter-finals.
Trailing 2-0 from the first leg in Spain, Ronaldo was facing up to the prospect of failing to reach at least the semi-finals for the first time since 2010 – and only the second time in 12 seasons. But then this happened…
Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid last summer in a £99.2m deal, becoming one of the most expensive players of all time in the process.His remit was, in large part, to help the Turin club win the Champions League.
“This was why Juventus brought me here, to help do things that they have never done before,” said Ronaldo, who has now scored 18 goals in his past 14 Champions League knockout appearances and has been directly involved in 76 goals in 77 knockout matches (62 goals, 14 assists).
“It was always going to be a special night and it was – not only for the goals but for the team. “This is the mentality you need to win in the Champions League. We enjoyed a magical night. Atletico were a difficult team but we were strong too. We will see what will happen.”
Rio Ferdinand, a team-mate of Ronaldo’s during their time together at Manchester United, told BT Sport: “Cristiano is a living football god and it is ridiculous what he is doing.“In the Champions League he has got every record you can imagine. And it was also against an Atletico team that is renowned for having a great defence.”
Atletico think he’s a real pain in the backside. They have now been knocked out of the Champions League by a team containing Cristiano in every season they’ve competed in it since 2013-14. He scored against them in Real’s 4-1 win in the 2014 Champions League final. Real knocked them out in the 2014-15 quarterfinals and beat them on penalties in the 2016 final (with Ronaldo scoring the decisive kick). In 2016-17, Ronaldo scored a first leg hat-trick against them in the semi-finals. Atletico ended up in the Europa League last season but have now returned to the top table and been done by Ronaldo once again.Ronaldo has now scored 25 goals in 31 matches against Atletico for Real and Juventus. Only Sevilla have suffered more at the hands of Ronaldo (27 goals).

Neymar To Face UEFA Disciplinary Panel For Slamming Mat Officials After PSG Loss
Last week, in what seemed like a miracle, Manchester United inspired an unbelievable comeback against PSG at the Le Parc des Princes to scale through the UEFA Champions League round of 16. The win came after a 2-0 deficit at the Old Trafford in favor of PSG. However, Man U defeated the French giants with 3 goals to 1, setting them on a 3-3 aggregate and the Reds won on away goals.
PSG forward, Neymar Jr. who was sidelined during the two games due to a broken bone in his foot, reacted badly to the loss after Man U was awarded a last minute penalty that Rashford converted.
It was a controversial penalty from a handball which the referee had to consult VAR before taking his decision. Reacting to the loss, Neymar took to his social media handle, Instagram, to vent his disappointment at the decision of the officials. He wrote:
“This is a disgrace, they put four people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR.
There is no penalty. How can it be a handball when it hits his back?! Go f**k yourselves!”
However, on Wednesday, after deliberating on his social media outburst, the UEFA is set to investigate Neymar’s behavior and if found guilty, he will face possible fine or ban from further UEFA games in the future. The statement reads below:

Chelsea Manager, Maurizio Sarri has revealed why his side may not win Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Europa League last 16 second-leg tie in Ukraine on Thursday night.
According to Sarri, the pitch at Kiev’s NSC Olympic Stadium is not good and that can really affect the Blues performance against the hosts.
Sarri’s men, who won last week’s first leg encounter at Stamford Bridge with 3-0, trained at the stadium on Wednesday.
“The pitch is not good and I think that it’s really dangerous to play any football here. It’s really very dangerous for injuries,” Sarri was quoted by NAN as telling reporters.
“I don’t know the reason, probably winter, because I played here two years ago and the pitch was wonderful (but it is now) very, very dangerous.”
The NSC Olympic Stadium hosted last season’s UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool, which the Spanish side won 3-1.

Zidane Set To Make First Signing As Real Madrid Agrees €50m Deal
Real Madrid have agreed a €5million (£42.6m) deal to sign Porto defender Eder Militao, Globo reports.
The 21-year-old has impressed for Porto, since arriving in a €4m (£3.5m) deal from Sao Paulo last summer.
He will now become Madrid’s first summer signing for Zinedine Zidane, after the Spanish club agreed to pay his €5m buyout clause.
The report also claims that the Brazilian defender has agreed a six-year contract with the LaLiga giants and had a medical in Portugal on Monday.
Zidane returned to Madrid on Monday for his second stint as manager, following talks with the club’s president Florentino Perez.
It is understood that in order to convince Zidane to come back to the Santiago Bernabeu, Perez has agreed to overhaul the squad in the summer transfer window and has promised to spend in the region of £3m on new players.

Maradona describes Ronaldo in two words
Argentine football icon, Diego Maradona has hailed Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo as a “sorcerer.”
Maradona stated this after the magical Juventus star fulfilled his pre-match prediction by scoring a hat-trick against Spanish side, Atletico Madrid.
Juventus share price shot up by 20% after reaching the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday to pay back another chunk of Ronaldo’s £85m transfer fee.
Reacting to the player’s performance, Maradona told Marca, “There are players who have been touched by a magic wand. We Argentines are proud that Lionel Messi is Argentinian.
“The other one is an animal. Ronaldo is pure power, and now he’s also a sorcerer. He said he’d score three goals and he scored three goals.”
The Portuguese captain netted his eighth Champions League hat-trick to draw level with Messi and to extend his record tally to 124 goals in 160 matches. He has scored 63 times in the knockout stages.

Paul Scholes has resigned from Oldham Athletic with immediate effect, after just 31 days in charge of the League Two club.
The former Manchester United midfielder was appointed as boss of the Latics on February 11, but remarkably after just over a month in charge he has called time on his first managerial experience.
The 44-year-old, who supported Oldham as boy, has claimed he has been forced to walk away from the role as he feels he is unable to "operate as intended" and has stated he was misled before taking job.
Scholes won his first match at the helm of his hometown club, but subsequently drew three and lost three games during his brief spell in charge.
The 44-year-old issued a statement, that read:
'It is with great regret that I have decided to leave the club with immediate effect.
"I hoped to at the very least, see out my initial term of 18 months as the manager of a club I've supported all my life. The fans, players, my friends and family all knew how proud and excited I was to take this role.
"In the short period since I took on the role it unfortunately became clear that I would not be able to operate as I intended and was led to believe prior to taking on the role.
"I wish the fans, the players and the staff - who have been tremendous - all the best for the rest of the season and will continue to watch and support the club as a fan."

The Europa League round of 32 was concluded last night around Europe.
Chelsea (ENG), Napoli (ITA), Valencia (ESP), Frankfurt (GER), Benfica (POR), Slavia Prague (CZE), Arsenal (ENG) and Villarreal (ESP) are the eight teams left in the competition.
Arsenal overcame a 3-1 defeat to Rennes in the first leg, to secure a 3-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.
Chelsea had a more comfortable path to the quarter-finals, as they followed up a 3-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv at Stamford Bridge, with a 5-0 win in Ukraine on Thursday.
Both Premier League sides could face each other in the last eight of the Europa League, as the draw is now open and teams are no longer seeded or protected from playing another side from the same country.
Napoli are the only Serie A left, following Inter’s 1-0 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt at San Siro.
Valencia have booked their place following a 1-1 draw with Krasnodar, but Sevilla crashed out to Slavia Prague in extra time.
Benfica also needed extra time to see off Dinamo Zagreb with a 3-0 victory in Lisbon.

The Blues, who were all but assured of their place after a 3-0 win over Dynamo Kiev, won 5-0 in Ukraine.
Olivier Giroud scored a hat-trick, while Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi also got on the score sheet for Maurizio Sarri’s men.
Arsenal overcame a 3-1 deficit, to beat Rennes 3-0 at at the Emirates.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored in each half and set up a goal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The draw for the last eight will be conducted Friday afternoon in Nyon, Switzerland.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning hat-trick against Atletico Madrid, not only sealed Juventus’ place in the Champions League quarter-finals, it also earned his former club Real Madrid a whopping £540,000, the UK Sun reports.
The Portuguese’s performance had major financial implications for his former club, thanks to the methods used by UEFA to divide prize money.
Champions League prize money is distributed in accordance with the proportional value of each TV market, also known as the market pool, represented by clubs taking part.
Spanish teams receive around 15% of the total figure and that is then paid out to teams based on their position in LaLiga in the previous season.
Diego Simeone’s side finished above Real last season and were therefore allocated more money than their city rivals, who were beaten by Ajax at the Bernabeu last week.
Ronaldo’s hat-trick saw Atletico’s share of the prize money heavily reduce and Real earn an additional £540,000 more than they had previously expected.

Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has explained that last night's Black Panther celebration was a nod towards his national team and his identity, after scoring twice against Rennes to send Arsenal into the quarter finals of the 2019 Europa league.
The Gunners thumped Rennes out of the Europa League, thanks to a 3-0 win at the Emirates on Thursday, to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg. Aubameyang scored twice during the win and treated fans to a new masked celebration for his second goal.

Pep Guardiola accepts his Manchester City tenure is likely to be judged on whether he succeeds in the Champions League or not.
The City boss has set extraordinarily high standards for himself having previously guided Barcelona to victory in the competition twice.
In comparison to that his spell in charge of Bayern Munich, where he was a three-time losing semi-finalist, is generally regarded as a disappointment, despite winning three Bundesliga titles and two German Cups.
Already at City, Guardiola has won the Premier League by a record margin and the League Cup twice, but he expects Europe to be the barometer of whether his reign is a success or failure.
He said: “I was judged in Munich in that way so I will be judged here as well. My period in Munich was not good for most people because we didn’t get one final. We got semi-finals but we didn’t get a final and we were judged.
“So, I’m a lucky guy. My standards are high. I have to reach it.”

Manchester City came from two goals down, to defeat Swansea City 3-2 and qualify for the semi-final of this year’s FA Cup.
The Premier League champions were stunned in Wales, after Matt Grimes and Bersant Celina put the hosts 2-0 up within 10 minutes in the first half.

Napoli goalkeeper, David Ospina was taken to hospital on Sunday after collapsing unconscious on the pitch following a knock to the head during a Serie A game against Udinese.
The Colombia international received treatment after colliding with striker Ignacio Pussetto ten minutes into the game at the Stadio San Paolo. The 30-year-old, who is on loan from Arsenal, was treated on the pitch and returned to play with bandages around his head.
Howeverr, 41 minutes later, Ospina collapsed to the ground as medics rushed onto the pitch, with the player stretchered off and transferred to hospital in an ambulance for tests.
Reports later said that the goalkeeper had regained consciousness and was undergoing an MRI scan.

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has blamed his players for the Blues’ 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
Goals from Rcharlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson ensured Everton defeated Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Sarri, who refused to take the blame for Chelsea’s disappointing defeat to Everton, questioned his players’ mentality and insisted they would have lost, regardless of what tactics he used.
Asked why Chelsea lost, Sarri told Sky Sports: “I don’t know. The player don’t know what happened. At the moment I don’t really explain the change.
“We played in my opinion the best first half of the season. We could have scored four or five times. Suddenly we stopped to play. It’s very strange.
“We stopped to defend, to counter-attack, to everything. We had only to continue, I think. We were in control of the match.
“We played very well and needed to continue. at the beginning of the second half we didn’t play. It’s strange. I cannot understand.
“Tactically, if you don’t play, you don’t play. We changed the system but it was the same. It’s very difficult but I think the problem was mental. If you have a mental problem suddenly on the pitch, the system, the tactics is not enough.”
