As Simi’s pregnancy approaches delivery, Adekunle Gold prays God shouldn’t give him a troublesome child
As Simi, celebrity wife of Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, nears child labour, her husband has begged God not to give him a child that will “kill him”.
It all started when Adekunle tweeted down memory lane, recalling how he once sold his full grown dog for N400, used the money to buy game console and lied to his father about the source of the money.
A console is a game pad which is used to play all kinds of programmed games either on Tv screen or with laptop and desktops.
Recounting on this vile experience, the singer recalled how his father “almost killed him” when he found out he actually sold his grown up dog for just four hundred naira (N400) and lied to him.
He tweeted: ““One of the vilest thing I did as a kid was selling my dog to a 404 Kitchen for N400 just to buy family con.
I was there when they killed the dog and I didn’t flinch. I went home with my console and lied about how I got it…My father almost killed me when he found out,” he wrote.“
This drew the attention of thousand of his Twitter family as they engaged with the thread he created.
After observing the various reactions of his fans and followers, he came to the conclusion that people should not think they know how best to train up a child but should rather seek God and pray He doesn’t give them children that will “kill them”.
“Forget story, some children will frustrate your life. Make God give us children wey no go kill us.” He wrote.
