*TOPIC: ARE YOU READY?*
“Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” James 5:8
*MESSAGE*
One very important question to ask ourselves at this crucial time of life is this: “Are you ready?” In case you are asking, “Ready for what?” the answer is “The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Our text today talks about the imminence of the return of Jesus. Many of the signs that would signify His coming—false prophets deceiving many, rumors of wars, pestilence, and abundance of lawlessness (see Matthew 24) are all happening already. It is said that it will be just like the days of Noah when everyone will be living carefree without thinking about the consequences of their actions.
As children of God, we are expected to hold fast that which we have received. Examine your life. Do you truly know the Lord? Is your relationship with Him thriving or gasping for air? Are you constantly fellowshipping with Him or relying on your weekly attendance on Sundays? Are you ready for the coming of your Saviour? If your answer is no, then you have work to do. Return to your Maker and be reunited with Him. If your answer is yes, you also have work to do. Hold fast your faith and conviction and when He comes, He will say to you "well-done good and faithful servant, come into the joy of your Lord."
*ACTION POINT*
?️ Examine yourself today to know where you truly stand. The arms of Jesus are wide open. He is waiting for you.
*SCRIPTURES*
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Matthew 24:3-44; Luke 12:37-40; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father I thank You for the gift of salvation and the privilege to be called Your son;
2. I ask for grace to serve You with all of my heart; help me to truly love You in the name of Jesus;
3. Father, I pray for my extended family members, that you draw them to Your love, in the name of Jesus.
