 March 13, 2020
Liverpool are expected to lose over ÂŁ30million, after failing to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in three years, the Daily Mail reports.
The Reds lost 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in Spain and were beaten 3-2 by the LaLiga side at Anfield on Wednesday.
Before then, Jurgen Klopp had won all 10 of his previous knockout fixtures as Liverpool manager.
Last season, the Reds received ÂŁ54.7million in prize money for winning the trophy.
However, elimination during this year’s last-16 stage will have a considerable impact on their finances.
Klopp’s men have also crashed out of the FA Cup, but are poised to win the Premier League for the first time in 30 years.
