Despite the fact that Meghan Markle is expecting her first child, the tabloid press and her opportunistic family have remained relentless in their efforts to denigrate the Duchess of Sussex and cash in on her global fame.
And not surprisingly, the situation is beginning to take a toll on Meghan's mental health.
"Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash and she’s finding the whole situation incredibly stressful,” a source tells The Sun.
Yes, in addition to the ongoing drama involving her birth family, there have been reports of Meghan feuding with Kate Middleton.
The situation has reportedly begun to affect Prince Harry, as insiders say Meghan's husband "feels responsible for Meghan being so miserable" and has become increasingly "frustrated" with what he feels is the unfair treatment of his wife.
Sources say the situation has begun to "put pressure" on the couple's marriage.
"[Prince Harry is] very frustrated with how little can be done" says the insider.
"Keeping [Meghan] away from the negativity and harm has been hard for him," the source continues.
"It's been his purpose in their relationship to keep her away from the negativity."
But there's hope for the future.
The insider says the Royals are hopeful that Meghan Markle's baby "will change everything" between her and Kate Middleton,
Makes sense, we suppose.
The optics of feuding with a pregnant woman aren't exactly ideal, but it might look even worse to lock horns with a new mom.
And apparently, Queen Elizabeth II -- who's said to have been a major Meghan supporter from the start -- has made it clear that Kate and Meg are to put their differences aside after Meghan welcomes her child.
According to The Sun's source, the Queen "reached her limit" with Meghan Markle and Kate and is "relieved" that the end of the feud is in sight.
Of course, none of this will change the fact that Meghan's first year as a member of the royal family has not been all smiles and sunshine.
Meghan will welcome her first child roughly 12 months after she married Harry, and both her in-laws and her birth family have done a great deal to make this period of tremendous change as difficult as possible for the former actress.
Fortunately, the Queen has once again stepped up and proven that she's cooler than all her children and grandkids combined.
