19 Nigerians Arrested In Nairobi Over Electronic Fraud (photos) - Edoman - 08-24-2018

Nineteen Nigerians living in Nairobi, Kenya have been arrested for engaging in electronic frauds targeting Kenyans.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kenya, the Nigerians start by befriending you on social media(Facebook) and once you accept the friend request they initiate a friendly chat that promises the victim goodies to be sent through DHL at the airport.

After that, a call will be made impersonating a worker at DHL, who will ask the victim to pay clearance fees for the parcel they fraudsters claim to have sent. After that, another call for yet another call for yet another fee, this time for documentation, is made. When the last payment has been made, the victims calls demanding for his/her parcel will no longer be picked.
Only then will victims understand they’ve been duped.

The Fraudsters, who according to the DCI, reside in Umoja, Kasarani and Roysambu Estates within Nairobi have now arrested.
