There is a feeling that the Jorginho to City deal could be unlocked next week. Jorginho has already told Napoli he will not renew his contract, which expires in 2020. City have refused to improve a bid of €47m + €5-6m in bonuses. [Corriere del Mezzogiorno]

If Jorginho to City doesn't happen, the reason is more likely to be because Napoli couldn't find a replacement in time than money, with Txiki Begiristain getting impatient. Torreira and Lemina are two candidates to replace Jorginho. [Tuttosport]

Wage demands are holding up Napoli's move for Lucas Torreira, who they want to replace Jorginho. This is slowing down Jorginho to City, who have started to explore a deal for Mateo Kovacic of Real Madrid. [@CalcioNapoli24]
