Soldier Shoot SS1 student for Refusing sexual Advances - Edoman - 11-06-2017 As shared by activist Friday Bako.... 'Rep ID Gyang was at the Plateau Specialist Hospital at 8:00am on Saturday 4/11/17 to visit and sympathize with victims of gunshots including Simi Danladi, a 17 year old SS1 student of GSS Sopp in Riyom LGA. She was shot on the thigh at  close range by one of soldiers manning the checkpoint at Sopp because she allegedly refused his lustful advances. On the 19th of October this year during a protest by the community against the soldiers for causing the dead of two boys, this particular soldier singled out Simi and shot her. He wanted to finish her off with another shot but was stopped by a fellow soldier who was more sympathetic. He proceeded to kick her several times in the face and body. Eventually Simi and two others, Danjuma Kaze and his son Irimiya who were shot on the leg and jaw respectively are currently receiving medical attention at the Plateau Specialist Hospital, Jos.
