Lady Beats 10-Year-Old Househelp To Death In Enugu (Photos) - Edoman - 03-11-2021 A woman identified as Madam Nmesoma has been accused of beating her 10-year-old househelp to death in Enugu, IgbereTV reports. Rights activist, Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison alleged that the househelp was brutally tortured and died before arriving the hospital for treatment on February 16. He also claimed that there is a plan to cover up the househelp's death. Gwamnishu wrote; Quote:"THEY WANT TO COVER UP HER DEATH. https://www.facebook.com/1000004793 Another Facebook user, Abanifi Phoebe Ijeoma also alleged that the incident occurred 3 months after Mmesonma gave birth to her own child. The police command in a statement released by its spokeperson Haruna Mohammed, described the allegation made by activist Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison as false. Haruna said the 25-year-old woman identified as Madam Nmesoma Okafor, is still in police custody and would be charged to court on Monday 15/3/2021 after an autopsy has been conducted. The statement read; Quote:The attention of the Anambra State Police Command has been drawn to a misleading report on Instagram credited to one Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison that Police have refused to charge to Court one Madam Nmesoma Okafor 'f' aged 25years of Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State over alleged torture and murder of her teenage house help who died in the hospital while receiving treatment on 16th February,2021. |
