The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Efe Samtex Pharmacy Ltd, Mrs Christy Efede has died exactly eight days after she was released by kidnappers in Delta State.

Recall that the mother of five was ambushed and abducted by gunmen at around 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20 in Warri.  She was said to be hypertensive, had other underlying health conditions and suffered a partial stroke. The kidnappers later contacted the family demanding N50 million ransom. Read Here

It was gathered that Mrs Efede was released on October 27 and reunited with her family after paying an undisclosed amount. Sadly, she died around 11:00 p.m on Monday, November 2.

According to reports, her sudden death could have been facilitated by a lack of continuation of her daily medication while in the custody of her abductors.
