Man arrested for allegedly defiling seven year old girl in Anambra, blames the devil - Edoman - 10-07-2020 Man arrested for allegedly defiling seven year old girl in Anambra, blames the devil 33-year-old Ejike Kanu, pictured above, has been arrested by the police in Anambra state for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old girl inside his wife's shop in Umuobom street Okpoko, a suburb in the state on Tuesday, October 6.   According to reports, Ejike, a native of Elugwu mkporo in Ohafia LGA of Abia State, allegedly lured the victim who is his neighbor's daughter and had unlawful carnal knowledge with her inside his wife's shop. Police detectives visited the scene and took the victim to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed by the medical doctor.   Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed, said the suspect voluntarily confessed and attributed his act to the devil's influence. He said the case would be transferred to the State criminal investigation department for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang after which the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.
