The Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said no person was trapped in the collapsed building. He said that the building which is located at No. 15, Ansarudeen St., by Ile Epo Bus stop, Iyana Ejigbo had been under lock since March due to the coronavirus induced restrictions. According to him, the collapsed building is part of a conjoined (twin) three-storey building. He said that the building collapsed due to “visible distress”, adding that the collapsed portion affected the second wing.
