Causes of cavitation in centrifugal pump
Centrifugal pump is widely used in industry and daily life because of its simple operation, stable operation, high cost performance and easy maintenance and care. However, mechanical equipment, after a long time of continuous work, it is inevitable that equipment damage and failure problems, centrifugal pump cavitation phenomenon is one of the common faults of centrifugal pump.
Once cavitation occurs in the pump, its flow and head performance will not only decline, but also show obvious high noise and vibration. In serious cases, the liquid flow in the pump will be interrupted and can not work normally. Cavitation will also damage the flow passage parts of the pump, and even affect the pipeline system.
There are many reasons for cavitation phenomenon, such as centrifugal pump product quality problems, improper use of operators and so on. Before leaving the factory, the product will go through multiple procedures of quality inspection, so the influence ratio of human factors is greater. In the working state, the working environment and operating factors of centrifugal pump account for the vast majority of the proportion of centrifugal pump cavitation phenomenon.
