A Bell 206-3 helicopter with registration number 5N-BQW belonging to Quorum Aviation crashed into a wall between two buildings at 16 A Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja this afternoon. A statement from the company said all three occupants were crew members who flew in from Port Harcourt. Two of the crew members died at the scene of the incident while the third one survived and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH. There were three crew members in the helicopter belonging to Quorom aviation, that flew into Lagos from Rivers state. While two of the crew members died at the scene, one of them who happens to be the pilot, Chika Ernest, was found alive and was rushed to the hospital. Taking to her page to mourn him, Gloria said the pilot died as the hospital waited for a police report. Sanwo-Olu said he met with the residents of the buildings, thanked God for his abiding grace. He orded an immediate integrity test conduct on both of the affected buildings to know the level of impact, and plegde to renovate them and provide all the necessary support to cushion the effects of this tragic incident . In his words: I was at the site of the helicopter crash at Opebi for an on-the-spot assessment. We sincerely sympathize with the families of the victims. I met with the residents of the buildings and we all thanked God for his abiding grace.
