‘My life has been shattered’ – Pastor Ituah Ighodalo breaks silence on wife’s death [VIDEO]

The Senior Pastor of Trinity House Church, Lagos, Ituah Ighodalo, has broken silence on the death of his wife, Ibidun.

DAILY POST reported that Ibidun died on Sunday morning in Port Harcourt after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest.

Ibidun, before her death was working in Bayelsa and Rivers States, assisting with the building of isolation centres for COVID-19 patients.

Speaking on her death, Pastor Ighodalo, while officiating a burial service in his church, said the news of his wife’s death at 2am shattered his life.
He went further describing life as a mystery which no one would ever understand.
In a video, he said: “At 2am, I received a call that shattered my entire life.

“We do not have control over most things in life, how you were born, which womb you came from and your race.

“Life is a deep mystery no one even as wise as Solomon can tell you they understand life

“Nobody has control over life, this time yesterday if anyone had told me this is how it will be i would have said it is impossible. Life is nothing.”

President Buhari, Oby Ezekwesili, Dele Momodu, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Toke Makinwa, others mourn Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo

President Buhari has joined other Nigerians to mourn Mrs. Ibidun Ituah-Ighodalo, wife of Pastor Itua Ighodalo of Trinity House, who passed away today June 14.
 
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the President said he shares the pain and sorrow of the family over the sudden death and prays God’s comfort for the entire family, friends, and members of Trinity House.
 
He recalled that Pastor Ighodalo is one person who faithfully prays for the country, and the government, noting that he sent him a personal letter of condolence when his former Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, passed away in April.

“Please accept my condolence. May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss, and strengthen you at this trying time,” President Buhari said in the statement
 
Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili,  took to her Twitter handle to express her disbelief to Ibidun's death. She wrote “Life! Ibidun Ighodalo? Just gone ……. like a candle in the wind. May God comfort our very dear Pastor Ituah and rest of family in the way that only He can in Jesus name.”

Atiku reacts to death of Ibidun, wife of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo

Vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the death of Mrs. Ibidun Ituah-Ighodalo, wife of Pastor Itua Ighodalo of Trinity House, based in Lagos.

DAILY POST reported the demise of the cleric’s wife earlier on Sunday.

In a statement by Asue Ighodalo, her family requested for privacy while mourning the late beauty queen.

Reacting, Atiku in a tweet on his official Twitter account, said the late wife of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, may have been short, but it was impactful.

He said: “The life of Pastor (Mrs) Ibidun Ituah-Ighodalo, late wife of Head Pastor, @trinityhouseng, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, may have been short, but it was impactful.

“Her Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation (IIF), a non-profit organisation, was a source of blessing to many women.

“My deepest condolences to the Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families. May her soul rest in peace.”

Dangote Drives Himself To Pastor Ituah's Place On Condolence Visit 

Unlike lots of rich people, Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, seems to like driving himself.

Chairman of Ovation media group, Dele Momodu, has shared videos of the billionaire paying a condolence visit to Pastor Ituah Ighodalo over the death of his wife, Ibidunni, who died on Sunday, June 14th.

The video shows him making his way to his gray G-Wagon car, with no aide in sight.

Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo to be buried on Saturday, June 20

The funeral of former beauty queen and event planner extraordinaire, Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo, has been slated for Saturday, June 20.
 
Ibidun died on Sunday, June 14 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state where she had gone to erect some COVID19 Isolation centers.
 
She will be buried in Lagos state.
 
May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

A Candle light service in honour of Late Ibidun Ighodalo who died on June 13, 2020 held today with her daughter rendering a heart melting song for the mum.

The service was a very sober and reflective one with everyone in attendance moved to tears.

A night of tribute was held in honor of former beauty queen and business woman, late Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo, in Lagos today June 19.
 
Her family members, in-laws, workers, and church members all paid glowing tributes to her at the service.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who joined the tribute night virtually, said he and his wife, Dolapo, were shocked when they heard the news of Ibidun's passing. He remembered her for her kindness, love, generosity, and commitment to family, friends, and the Christian faith. He said she will live in the hearts of everyone.

Babatunde Fashola, Nigeria's Minister of Works and Housing, described Ibidun as a Butterfly that brought color to the life of everyone that came in contact with her.

Late Ibidun's daughter, Keke, also got a moment to speak about her late mother. She described her mother as a ''Beautiful woman'', ''very strong'' and someone who ''felt everyone's pain''.
 
Others who also spoke at the night of Tribute include Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Mrs. Titi Adenuga, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, and others.
 
Ibidun, 39, will be buried tomorrow Saturday, June 20. Her funeral service will start at 2pm.
