The Kano State Government has extended the two-week total lockdown imposed on the state by President Buhari. The President on April 27 announced a two-week lockdown in the state as part of measures to curtail the spread of the ravaging Coronavirus in the state.

A statement released by the state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, says the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has extended the lockdown by one more week to further curb the spread of Coronavirus.

The extension comes as the state recorded six more COVID-19 related deaths on Monday May 11, bringing the death toll to 32.
