Suspected killer of Afenifere’s daughter tests positive for Coronavirus - Edoman - 04-26-2020 Suspected killer of Afenifere’s daughter tests positive for Coronavirus April 26, 2020 Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has confirmed that one of the suspected killers of Afenifere’s daughter has tested positive for Coronavirus. The confirmation was made known by the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in a tweet via his Twitter account, stating that one of the three cases confirmed involved one of the recently arraigned suspects in the murder of Mrs Funke Olakunrin, Pa Fasoranti’s Daughter. He said, ”We have confirmed three other cases in Ondo State. “One of the cases involves one of the recently arraigned suspects in the murder of Mrs Funke Olakunrin, Pa Fasoranti’s Daughter. “The suspect has been isolated from others and will be moved to IDH for treatment. “The commissioner of police has assured the state that there will be adequate security around the IDH premises to prevent his escape and while on treatment, he will be manacled to the bed.” “I will expatiate on all cases in my weekly press briefing tomorrow,” he added. Recall that the first coronavirus case which was recorded in the state on April 3, 2020, involved a military officer who arrived in the state from official duty in India. Olakunrin was attacked and killed by gunmen on July 12, 2019 between Kajola and Ore along Ondo-Ore Road in Ondo State. Four of the suspected killers were arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Akure, the state capital on Friday April 24th. Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, disclosed the COVID19 status of one of the suspects via his Twitter handle this morning while confirming two more cases in the state.
