Police parade suspected murderer of Catholic priest, 25 others in Imo - Edoman - 03-12-2020 Police parade suspected murderer of Catholic priest, 25 others in Imo  March 12, 2020 The Imo State Police, Wednesday, at the command’s headquarters in Owerri, paraded 26 suspects involved in various crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, unlawful possession of arms, among others. Briefing journalists, the state Commissioner of Police, Olaniyi Fafowora, described the harvest of arrests since his coming on board as a breakthrough. The CP said that each of the cases being presented has reached advanced stages and the suspects will soon be charged to court for immediate prosecution. He further solicited for Imo peoples continued support in the fight against criminality, promising that Imo will soon be a safe heaven to inhabit without any fear of molestation from the men of underworld. DAILY POST learnt that among the suspects paraded was Charles Nnanna, 31 who was among the four-member gang that murdered a Catholic Priest, Rev father Cyriacus Onunkwo of Orlu diocese in 2019. The CP put the total number of exhibits recovered from the suspects at 206, 2 vehicles, 6 motorcycles, 2 AK-47 magazines, N188,500.00 among others.
