38yr-old Yahoo Yahoo boy arrested with coffin - Edoman - 03-03-2020 38yr-old Yahoo Yahoo boy arrested with coffin  March 3, 2020 A 38 year old suspected internet fraudster, Azeez Adebowale, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), in Ibadan. ROYAL NEWS reports that the suspects home was raided on Monday and a mini coffin suspected to be containing fetish materials was found with him . It was learnt that Adebowale, who claimed to be using the coffin as soap rack, was among the six persons arrested following weeks of piecing together tips on intelligence received on their alleged involvement in internet fraud. The suspects which included a lady, Toyinsola Bolumole, were picked up by men of the Commission’s Ibadan zonal office at locations around Oluyole and Alao-Akala Estates of the ancient city. Others are; Ifelowo Ololade, Sonuyi Ayodeji, Folarin Oladele Olayinka and Aluko Olawale. Items recovered from them include four cars, various brands of sophisticated phones and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card. RE: 38yr-old Yahoo Yahoo boy arrested with coffin - Edoman - 03-03-2020 EFCC arrests suspected internet fraudsters with mini coffin Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested six suspected internet fraudster with a mini coffin in Ibadan, Oyo State.   The suspects are Azeez Adebowale, Toyinsola Bolumole, Ifelowo Ololade, Sonuyi Ayodeji, Folarin Olayinka, and Aluko Olawale.     They were arrested during a raid by EFCC operatives of Oluyole and Alao-Akala estates in Ibadan.    EFCC acting spokesperson, Tony Orilade, in a statement on Tuesday, March 3, said the operatives recovered from the suspects items including four cars, various brands of sophisticated phones and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card.   Mr Orilade said one of the suspects, Mr Adebowale, 38; claimed to be using the coffin as a soap rack to hypnotise his victims.     The EFCC has taken huge steps to curb financial crimes and ritual killings in Nigeria, Mr Orilade said. In October 2019, the Commission arrested about 200 suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys.  The Ibadan zone of EFCC alone secured 171 convictions,167 of which are cybercrime offenders in 2019.
