Over 50 armed gunmen kidnap doctor’s wife, children, others - Edoman - 01-25-2020 Over 50 armed gunmen kidnap doctor’s wife, children, others  January 25, 2020 By Simon Ujah, Kaduna Over 50 heavily armed gunmen reportedly laid siege on Juji Community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Friday night. The armed gunmen in the process allegedly abducted the wife, children and security guard of popular Kaduna medical doctor and owner of Chris Joja Lounge, Dr. Ataga on Saturday morning. Eyewitness said that the bandits stormed the community at about 10:30pm on Friday night in an attempt to overpower the police personnel manning the police post in the area, but could only succeed after six hours of exchange of gunfire. They were said to have gained access to Dr. Ataga’s residence at about 4am, taking away his wife, children and a security guard. The source also said that in the process, a vigilantes from the community was shot dead. When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Kaduna State Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo said that he was yet to be briefed on the situation but promised to get back to journalists when he details.
