Coronavirus: Nurses step over dead bodies piled up on hospital floor - Edoman - 01-24-2020 Coronavirus: Nurses step over dead bodies piled up on hospital floor as medical facilities are overrun by outbreak (disturbing video) Disturbing footage shared online shows dead bodies piled up on the floor of a hospital in Wuhan, China. The video, allegedly recorded at a hospital in Wuhan where the coronavirus outbreak started, shows 3 dead bodies under white sheets and workers wearing protective suits in a packed corridor. Nurses and others are seen stepping around the bodies in a corridor packed with people apparently infected with the SARS-like virus. The video was posted by a woman claiming to be a nurse at a Wuhan hospital and it is already making the rounds on Weibo, a social media network in China. The woman who shared the video wrote that staff and patients were "stuck" with the bodies of three patients because no-one was available to take them away. In another clip, a man wearing a mask over his face lay on a floor in agony as people stand around him. At least 26 people have died and more than 800 others have been infected since the coronavirus broke out last month. Hospitals in Wuhan - where the outbreak began late last month - are running out of masks, goggles and protective suits as the number of cases soars. Hospitals in Wuhan are filled to capacity. Workers are racing to build a 1,000-bed hospital from scratch in less than a week to cope with the rising number of patients. At one overwhelmed hospital, tents had to be set up in a car park to treat patients because there is no room inside. Watch the video below. RE: Coronavirus: Nurses step over dead bodies piled up on hospital floor - Edoman - 01-26-2020 Coronavirus : US arranging charter flight to evacuate American diplomats and citizens out of China The United States has started plans to evacuate it's citizens and diplomats living in Wuhan, the Chinese city from which the deadly strain of Coronavirus originated from. Coronavirus, a SARS like disease, has killed over 50 people in China already with 2000 cases of infection confirmed already, with the Chinese government putting the city of Wuhan under lockdown as they try to contain the deadly virus. But the US, in keeping with principles of protecting it's diplomats and citizen all over the world, has finalized plans to evacuate about three dozen diplomats and their families from the US consulate in Wuhan, China and even though the city is in lockdown the Chinese government has been very supportive of the US' move. According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the US Consulate in Wuhan reached out to Diplomats living there to inform them they'll be given free tickets on a plane back home but informed non-diplomat Americans interested in going home that they will be billed for the flight. On Thursday, the US State Department ordered non-emergency personnel and their families to depart the Hubei Province of China, of which Wuhan is the provincial capital, due to the coronavirus epidemic, it also raised the travel advisory for the Hubei province to "Level 4: Do Not Travel," warning that the "U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Hubei province." The coronavirus is turning to a global epidemic with new cases reported in France, UK, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and the US. No case has been reported in Nigeria yet. RE: Coronavirus: Nurses step over dead bodies piled up on hospital floor - Edoman - 01-26-2020 Third case of coronavirus confirmed in the US A third case of the deadly coronavirus has been confirmed in the United States, health officials have revealed. The Centers for Disease Control said the patient in Orange County, southern California, tested positive for the disease which has killed 56 in China and infected 2,000 worldwide. The patient had traveled to the US from Wuhan, the city where the killer virus broke out from and was taken into isolation where he remains in good condition. He was actually the one who contacted local health officials, that provided him guidance to reduce exposure to the public while awaiting laboratory confirmation from the CDC. The Orange County agency has consulted with the CDC and the California Department of Health and will follow up with people who have had close contact with the patient. Guidance from the CDC advises that people who have had casual contact with the patient are at "minimal risk" for developing infection. Although, there's no evidence that person-to-person transmission occurred in Orange County, and the risk of local transmission remains low, the release said. The comes days after the diagnoses of a 30-something man in Washington state on Tuesday and 60-something woman in Chicago on Friday. Both patients had also traveled to China. The US Consulate in Wuhan have announced that it would evacuate its personnel and some private citizens aboard a charter flight, as they expect more Americans to be diagnosed with the newly discovered virus, which is believed to have an incubation period of about two weeks. The CDC is screening passengers on direct and connecting flights from Wuhan at five major airports in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Australia, France, and Canada all have reported confirmed cases of the virus, which Chinese state officials today warned was growing stronger.
