Three injured after police, Shiites clash in Abuja - Edoman - 01-14-2020 Three injured after police, Shiites clash in Abuja Three members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria aka Shiites, have been injured following a clash with men of the Nigerian Police Force today January 14th.   The Shiite members took to the street at the Berger area in Wuse to demand the release of their leader, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat who have been in detention since December 2015.   In a bid to disperse them, the police fired teargas canisters and allegedly fired gunshots into the air.
