According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Lions will practice with the Texans prior to their Week 2 preseason game on August 17. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, considering both Matt Patricia and Texans coach Bill O’Brien worked together in New England from 2007 to 2011, albeit on opposite sides of the ball. Last year, the Lions held joint practices against both the Oakland Raiders (away) and the New York Giants (home). This year Kerryon Johnson Jersey , Detroit’s Week 2 preseason game against the Texans is on the road, so the joint practices will take place in Houston.There’s a good chance this will be the Lions’ second set of joint practices this offseason. There have been rumors that the Lions and Patriots were interested in joint practices, and the fact that they’re facing off in Week 1 of the preseason seems to suggest that has a very high likelihood of happening. In that instance, those practices would take place in Allen Park. No joint practices have been confirmed by any of the teams involved.
