Hyacinth Takes Over Ikorodu Ferry Terminal In Lagos, Many Trapped (Photos) - Edoman - 10-11-2019 This is the condition of the ferry terminal at Ikorodu as many are stranded and trapped as hyacinth takes over area. The water hyacinth has covered over 1km off the boat dock. People had to climb several other boats to get to theirs and out of the boats and that was so scary. It was earlier reported today that water hyacinth has taken over the Ikorodu Water Terminal which makes it difficult to boats to navigate the waters. We have it on good authority that the Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has commenced clearing of the water hyacinth. Pegging of the ferry route channel commenced last week and manual clearing has already started at the Ipakodo terminal also called Ikorodu Terminal.
