Wike Decries The Role Of The Military In The 2019 Rivers Governorship Election - Edoman - 05-06-2019 Rivers state governor, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has decried the partisan role of the the military and F-SARS in the 2019 rivers state governorship elections. In a statement made available to Views media, the governor stated that those indicted of trying to subvert the will of Rivers state people in the guber elections are yet to be prosecuted despite several official complaints and overwhelming evidence against them. The statement reads" "It is really unfortunate. All of us know that there was a coup in this state, organised by the Nigerian Army. In the history of this country, it has never happened where during ordinary election, Army will begin to kill people for no just cause. "Because they believe a particular person or a particular party must win, it doesn't matter how many people die. It was shown on National Television.
