Mr Agoboye Francis Monday, the father of little Beniah, the baby with multiple holes in his heart, has denied absconding with the N70 million Nigerians raised for Beniah's surgery.
Humanitarian worker, KBK who was amongst the many Nigerians that helped raised the money, had earlier today shared a post on his Instagram page, alleging that Mr Monday had cut him off since the N70m donations.This fueled specualtions he had absconded.

OAP, Freeze has spoken to Mr Monday and he denied absconding with the donations made. He said he chose to go lowkey for security reasons and that they are set to travel out of Nigeria as soon as possible. He also showed the passports he has procured for himself and his son. Mr Monday also said he had been busy with his wife who just gave birth on January 31st.

It would be recalled that a heartbreaking video of a Nigerian father sitting in the middle of the road frustrated with his sick child narrating how he spent his entire life savings and is now still trying to look for more money to take care of his sick child with a rare medical condition all to no avail, that he has gone to many places that no one seems to help. Tragically, Little Benaiah Monday has died on his way to Dubai, where he was expected to undergo a major heart surgery. His story caught national interest after a video of his distraught dad soliciting for help for him in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, went viral. About 48 hours after the video hit the internet, Nigerians rallied around to donate over N70m towards his surgery. However, Instablog9ja exclusively gathered that brave Benaiah lost the battle, this morning in Lagos, while going for the surgery. He was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Little Benaiah dies on his way to Dubai for his heart surgery
It would be recalled that the Nigerian father with a sick child who was accused of absconding with over N70million raised for that child’s treatment, has denied running with the money. It would be recalled that the Man whose son has days to live, had accused of beating him up when he sat with his sick baby at Rivers Government House gate. He told punchng.com, Chukwudi Akasike; “I sat there for close to two hours and when the security men saw that people were coming there to ask me questions about my baby’s situation and were snapping and videoing me (and I think then the governor wanted to go out for a campaign); the security operatives came where I was and dragged me into a Hilux pick-up truck, about 10 of them, beat me up, dragged my child and nearly broke his arm. They carried me inside the vehicle and continued beating me.”

Humanitarian, KBK, who has been handling the case on social media, had earlier taken to social media to allege that the man had absconded with the funds raised. See what KBK wrote: “Scores of people have been asking for updates about little Beniah, but the truth is I don’t have any. Mr Monday decided to cut all communications with me just after the campaign. I realised he actually blocked me. The situation is still the same till today I sent out othrr reps and it’s all fruitless and subsequently stated that a team would contact me but nothing till now. I’m bowing out but with a clause that if anything happens to the boy because thet are slow or they followed a wrong path, he will have many questions to answer from the donors. I need the family to provide all pictures of Beniah from childhood till date.

A bill from the hospital the surgery will take place. Copies of passport/visa if it’s been gotten. Who and who are traveling with the boy. When the surgery is happening. How much was the actual donation”? But in a new video that was shared on the internet by Daddy Freeze, who probably had a live chat with the father of the child, the man denied absconding and also revealed that plans are already in place for the family to travel out for the treatment. He however chipped in that he had to lay-low for sometime for security reasons:

Father of late Baby Banaiah's releases official statement, gives reasons why his treatment was delayed

On Friday, the news of the death of baby Benaiah swept through social media, leaving many heartbroken. Baby Benaiah made news few weeks ago after a video of his father, Monday Agoboye, publicly soliciting for funds to treat him surfaced online. Baby Benaiah was born with multiple holes in his heart and was in dire need of a surgery which was estimated to cost N15 million. Nigerians rallied round and raised N70 million. Sadly, baby Benaiah died yesterday.

In a statement released today, Benaiah's father, said they were on their way to the airport to fly to Dubai when he developed complications. He died at the Lagos State Teaching hospital where he was rushed to. The body of little Benaiah is currently at the morgue where an autopsy is to be carried out in a few days time. Read the statement below
Quote:It is with great sadness that We announce the passing of our son, Baby Benaiah “braveheart” Agoboye. Baby Benaiah died on our way to the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos for a flight to Dubai Scheduled for 12.55pm local time yesterday, the 15th of February, 2019. In our company at the time was the Doctor, whose duty was to manage Benaiah’s health on the trip. He battled extensively as we raced to Afriglobal Medicare, the nearest health facility on our way to the Airport, from where we proceeded to LASUTH; where unfortunately Baby Benaiah passed at about 10.30am. His body remains at LASUTH awaiting autopsy.
The family is deeply saddened by this event, as all arrangements had been concluded for Benaiah’s treatment at the Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital(FZ LLC) in Dubai. We were scheduled to Fly with Emirates Airline, which was specially equipped with the facilities to manage Benaiah’s condition at a high altitude. We got into Lagos (when) in preparations to fly earlier but had to wait our turn since we were informed by the airline that there were other passengers with medical conditions earlier scheduled for the same arrangement.

We would like to thank everyone who has been of great support to the Monday Family through these challenging times. The team at UPTH for managing Baby Benaiah's condition since he was 2months old, the staff and management of Afriglobal Medicare for availing us their facilities for free in time of the emergency. We also thank the team at LASUTH for their effort and support.
The family is also overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love, support and prayers we have received from around the world. We give special appreciation to all of you who went out of your way to give your hard earned money and precious time to post and brought baby beniaiah’s story to the world. You are all deeply appreciated.
