Nigerian Man Goes On Rampage In Italy, Assaults Police Officers. Photos - Edoman - 01-08-2019 A Nigerian man who went on rampage and attacked public officials on Sunday, January 6 (yesterday) in Italy, has been arrested. According to Italian media reports, the 25-year-old Nigerian man was trying to empty a garbage can in the street at Ferrara train station before allegedly going out of control.  The young man is alleged to have thrown bottles on the ground and also damaged a bus in the area close to where a woman was seated with her baby in the course of his rampage. Passersby who witnessed the incident and tried to calm him down all to no avail - raised an alarm and called the police who arrived almost immediately. It was gathered that the Nigerian man on sighting the police officers, escalated and became more violent towards the public officials.  The suspect was said to have insulted the officers and kicked them while resisting to be subdued. It took the arrival of another set of police officers to arrest the man. He has been charged for resisting arrest, aggravated damage as well as interruption of public service.
