Man Poisons His 3 Children In Bayelsa With Sniper. Gets Arrested - Edoman - 01-02-2019
The Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa State, Aminu Saleh has confirmed that a father of three, Samuel Sunday, has been arrested for allegedly poisoning his three children with sniper killing two of the children while the third one survived.
The surviving son told newsmen that their father and his brother gave them the sniper to drink.
Quote:“Our father and his brother tied three of us and gave us sniper to drink. I was told that my brothers are dead, and that I am the only one that survived,”[size=undefined]
the boy said in tears on his hospital bed.
He said that suspect and his brother, Aya Preye, were being charged for the murder of the two children. He identified the deceased boys as Miracle (12) and God’s time (10).
Sunday and his wife had divorced but the three children were living with their grandmother before the incident occurred. The police commissioner said that the suspect had alleged that his sons were wizards who were responsible for his sickness.
Dr Moses Emeka of Hillem Medical Centre, who attended to the only survivor, said the boy was brought to the hospital unconscious by an NDLEA official. The doctor confirmed that the survivor was responding to treatment and would soon recover.

Father Kills Two Sons With Poison Over Witchcraft In Bayelsa (Photo)
The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a 42 - year - old father , Sunday Otasi , for allegedly killing two of his sons with a poisonous substance , identified to be ‘ Sniper ’, over suspicion of witchcraft .
The third son , however , narrowly escaped death and is in a critical condition after he escaped from the bush, where his father and his younger brother had tied the three of them to trees.
Otasi, who hails from Agbobiri -Okodia in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was said to have taken his three sons, Success , 14 ; Miracle, 12 ; and Godstime , 10 , to a bush along Glory Drive Road , Igbogene, Yenagoa.
He was said to have tied them to trees with the help of his younger brother , Levai Ayah , and forced them to drink the poisonous substance .
It was learnt that the three children got into trouble with their father in September last year when a Yenagoa - based prophet , George Odoko , of the George Odoko Outreach Ministries , told Otasi that his children were wizards and were responsible for his illness .
